"Oh," Dron says to Aravor as the mage lands. "Who are you again?"

He roughly sweeps his girlfriend behind him and swings his sword at Aravor, drawing a dagger from a leather sheath under his vest to employ as a finishing strike.

Scimitar Attack: 11 Damage: 8 (This was supposed to be at disadvantage due to the fumble, but it doesn't matter!)

Watchperson 1 continues charging towards Tug but Watchperson 2 breaks away and attempts to tackle Sharvon to the ground.

Tackle Attack: 14 Damage: 0. If successful, Sharvon is knocked prone.

Thug 2 slashes at Rixton with a short sword twice in rapid succession.

Thug 3 runs forward and, seeing Dron facing a threat, plays a little tune on his pipes and casts shatter on Aravor (well, adjacent to Aravor so that he is the only one caught in the spell's effects).

CON(12) save: 20. Take 10 thunder damage on a failed save and 5 on a successful one.

Summary:

• Dron is a lousy fighter. He missed hitting a mage 3 times!
• Sharvon is tackled by the watch and knocked prone.
• Rixton dodges and dodges again.

 (I think that was effective. Otherwise, I have some questions on how powerful these thugs are.)

There is no escaping the grapple, as much as the mage thug tries to pull away. A solid punch to the face causes him to go stiff and then tip back on his heels. He falls like a plank to the cobblestones, unconscious.

I'll move Savra 60' closer to the action. If you'd rather she took a disadvantaged shot with her shortbow, let me know.

Sharvon is up.

Leaping to his feet Sharvon rounds on the thug that knocked him to the ground. With a cold smile he lasshes out with his feet and hands.

 I think the statue is now 30 feet ahead of her. Aravor is fighting Dron and some goons are about 90 feet beyond that. Sharvon and Tug are fighting off to her right, 90 and 200 feet away.

It is 22.5 feet to stand up, but you knock out the watchperson with your action. You can use a ki to move an additional 45 feet for a total of 67.5 feet.

Watchperson 4 is shocked to see a person land right next to her and is further shocked at the thunderous spell that hits Aravor. She whips around to see Dron wielding his blades and Aravor wincing at the spell's effects. She draws her halberd and points it back and forth between Dron and Aravor.

"Drop your weapons!" she says. A scowling glance from Dron causes her to amend her statement. "Just put them away, Mr. Dron."

He does not, but neither does the watchperson attack.

Watchperson 3 is similarly shocked at the sudden violence but he is distracted by seeing his fellow watchperson knocked out due north.

"What is going on?" he says, completely bewildered. He sprints towards Sharvon, drawing his halberd.

Thug 4 sprints as well, not trusting his bow against the mage. He gets almost 10 feet from Aravor.

Rixton attacks with his shortsword and a kick again.

Short sword Attack: 25 Damage: 8

Kick Attack: 18 Damage: 6

Fumble roll for Rixton: 42. Rixton's confidence falters. His next attack is with disadvantage.

Map (i will work on friendlier maps for everyone in the future! In the meantime, I will do my best to add a small state-of-the-battle below each map):

Rixton and Thug 2 are more than 100' from everyone on the west side of the square (which is diamond shaped)
Wilfer is at the northern tip of the square sprinting southward, hundreds of feet from the action (sorry!)
On the northwest side of the square, due south of Wilfer, Tug has knocked out a thug. Watchperson 1 is about 35 feet to his east.
Sharvon is 30 feet northwest of the statue in the center of the square. Watchperson 2 is unconscious 67 feet north of him.
Savra is about 45 feet north of the statue and 65 feet due west of the fallen watchperson 2.
Watchperson 3 is about 60 feet south and 20 feet west of Sharvon, running north towards him.
About 75 feet south of Watchperson 3 is a cluster of people: Watchperson 4, Aravor, Dron, Thugs 3 and 4, and Jostlyn. Jostlyn and thug 3 are south of Dron. Thug 4 is east of Dron.

(So that you don't need to wait for me, Wilfer will continue south until he's about 100' feet from Dron. If he's still alive then, I will have actions.)

Savra continues moving towards their true enemy, not confronting any watchmen. She has no weapon drawn, so should not appear like a threat. So 60 feet SW.

(Wow, I forgot to call out who was next. *Smack head*. I don't think I've ever done that before. Wilfer and Aravor are up..Wilfer is running, so Aravor is next. Sorry for the misstep!)

Aravor replies to the watchwoman, "I carry none, Ma'am." He turns to Dron, his words subtly laced with fey magic. "You should do as she asked, Dron. Put away your weapons, call off your people, and come with me. My associates and I would like to speak with you in private."

((Watchperson 1 goes before Tug I think - but just so they have full information with which to make their best decision - detail at the end of last turn where the thug went unconscious. He can't really intimidate 'cause that's an action, but talk is free...))

As he drops the magethug like a bad habit, Tug looks at the approaching watch, saying Not your job copper. Ya wanna go down protecting that scumpail?

Dron WIS(16) save: 12

Dron slides his weapons back into his sheathes and the watchperson visibly relaxes. Jostlyn, on the other hand, says, "Curt, what're you doing?!"

"Don't worry, darlin'," Dron says. "I'm happy to take this violence to a private locale."

He eyes the watchperson, who takes a step back.

"Boys!" Dron says in a loud voice. "Come with me."

Round 3 actions to be concluded...

DM shield:

"Curtis!" Jostlyn says again. "Don't listen to him. He bewitched you, Curt. Listen to me. They took my necklace! They want to kill us!"

In a rash action, she pulls Dron's sword from his sheath, still standing behind him but wielding it with both hands. "Don't go with him, baby!" she says. The scimitar is unwieldy and too heavy for her, but that makes it all the more unpredictable.

Thug 3 circles around the wild-eyed girlfriend of Curtis Dron to stand next to the crime boss. He is holding his hands up to her placatingly while Dron turns around.

Thug 2, bloodied and at least evenly matched with Rixton, holds a hand up to try and halt hostilities. He prepares to attack if Rixton makes a move against him.

Watchperson 1 runs over to Tug. "It's over, mate," he says. "You heard Dron."

Watchperson 1 readies an attack if Tug tries anything.

A civilian at the edge of the square moves towards the conflict, nearly running into Wilfer.

Map:

NW: Wilfer has a civilian next to him now. About 100 feet to his south, Tug has knocked out a thug and a watchperson is in striking distance but not attacking.

Center: Savra is just north of the statue. 30' of movement puts her in striking distance of at least one watchperson, possibly two. Sharvon is just NE of the statue and north of the watchpersons.

75 feet SW of the statue is Dron, two thugs, Jostlyn, a watchperson, and Aravor.

West: Rixton and Thug 2 face each other.

The engineers and civilians are beginning to clear the square.
