Shi selects yet another death to channel, her eyes remaining white as yet another new voice issues from her mouth, this one that of a young woman, cold with determination. "Well? Finish it already, damn you! Or are you too much of a coward to-"

The skeleton fails and shatters, revealing another Ostovite!

Corinne is nearly trampled by the horses’ rebuttal to their assault.

her eyes go completely black as she launches herself up, biting and tearing the Ostovite apart. (Rage)

As Corinne grabs and bites into the Ostovite, the creatures life seems to ebb away just a bit, as Corinne’s wounds begin to seal and close. Her hungry predatory eyes look around in a blood frenzy, 2 obsidian voids. As the thing fights to free itself she slams a hand against its carapace as it flies free, tearing a blood curdling scream from the raging woman.

Janna's gonna keep doing what she does best; try to hit it with sacred flame: DC 13 DEX or 7 radiant damage.

Janna's fire destroys the Ostovite and the hall is once again silent.

Corinne snarls absorbs what’s left of the insect, taking several deep breaths. Consciously letting go of the life force everyone around her emanates. Her eyes return to the silvery moonlight they were before, as she looks to the rest of the party. Her heart stops dead in its tracks as she realizes what they’ve seen, her face breaks for just a moment, a chink in her armor that she quickly replaces, as she brushes dirt and the new scuffs on her dress, “My apologies, I...I don’t know what came over me.” She smiles quickly at the group, hoping to have fooled them briefly. (DECEPTION: 12 ) “Anyways, we better keep a closer eye as we continue, to avoid more ambushes like that.” She chuckles anxiously, touching her newly forming bruises on her chest and stomach.

(OOC: IDK how specific Corinne's life force thing is, but she'd probably at least notice that Shi's is not normal. She's not dead (or undead), but she's not fully alive either.

Insight: 14

Shi looks at Corinne for a long moment before shrugging and drifting over to the body, picking up a piece of bone and tucking it into her pocket before going to peek into the sarcophagus.

Area A6

The stone walls of this room are carved to resemble hanging draperies framing a large dais. Upon the dais stands a large sarcophagus, its lid carved to resemble a sleeping knight with long hair and a wide mustache. Based on the other paintings, you assume that this sarcophagus was made to hold the body of Ervin Roslar. This room carries a faint nauseating odor, like putrefying meat. 

You can find the source of the stench with a DC15 Perception check.

Janna Insight: 7

Covering her nose, Janna will enter the room cautiously, eyes peeled for any other skeletons (and the insect-like creatures within them) that might jump out at the party. She also tries to forget what she saw. These people are not her enemies. She needs to believe that.

Perception: 21

Janna: Whatever is the source of that awful smell is behind the sarcophagus.

While the others had worked on finishing up the skeleton horse, Morticia was hush arguing with herself and her bow, disappointed with her latest performances. She stops when she nears a snarl in their general direction, grey hues darting over to the source. Corrine.

Insighty: 17

Whether or not she sees past the lie or not, the rogue keeps to herself, but she does keep her eyes on the barbarian every now and again as they continue through this place.

A hand goes to bring her green scarf over her mouth and nose at the sudden stench. The smell was... strangely familiar to her though...

Perception: 17

Everyone except Janna is able to tell that Corinne is lying about not knowing what came over her and Morticia is also able to pinpoint that the smell is coming from behind the sarcophagus.

“Where is that smell coming from?” Corinne’s nose wrinkles, “It’s...not something you expect from around an ancient hero’s tomb...well neither are skeletons and bone insects, but at least those were just bones.” Corinne walks towards the sarcophagus, whip at the ready in case of another undead creature popping out. She walks with purposeful steps, like a boss ***** (didn’t have a good way to describe that, forgive the language).

As Corinne heads towards the sarcophagus, a creature that resembles a cobra made out of bones jumps at her, ready to attack!

Bone Cobra:10

Corinne curses, “Figures..” Initiative: 7 “Bone Cobra.” She says flatly as she readies to punch and whip.
