Corinne exhales a bit, fairly confident that she’d evaded another close call. The pale lady hurries to catch up with Shi, changing her stride to keep pace with the strange person. “Thank you, for your encouraging words back there. It really came in handy with the monster. I shudder to think what could have happened if we hadn’t made short work of the thing.” She shudders a bit, arms grasping her soft biceps as she squeezes her frame in, as if for warmth.
“I hope we can get out of here without any more trouble, maybe find our way back to some civilization.”
The walls of this wide room are covered with murals depicting a man performing a variety of heroic tasks: driving a sword into a fearsome metallic bull, defending a village from a scowling spectre, delivering an impassioned speech to several knights, and so on. The man has a large mustache and flowing hair, and wears a breastplate adorned with the symbol of a winged rapier. The western end of this room contains an enormous statue of the man atop a rearing horse, carrying a lance in one hand and a shield in the other. Hallways exit this room to the north and south; both immediately bend to the east. Doors stand in the north and south walls.
As you pass through the room, the statue of Roslar momentarily dips its' lance and raises its' shield while the statue of Abdell gives off a faint, ghostly whinny. Nearby, a simple bowl for offerings still contains a few gifts: 87 gp (mostly in silver and copper coins) and two scrolls of lesser restoration.

A grand metallic double door stands in the east wall of this chamber, while hallways exit to the north and south. A statue of a proud knight with flowing hair and a large mustache stands in an alcove in the west wall, atop a short pillar bearing a metal plaque. Inside this room are two of the metallic skeletons, which must be the comrades that Number Three mentioned earlier. They begin to approach, shortswords in hand.

Morticia opens her mouth, then closes it shut after thinking over what Shi says. After a minute, she says, "Well... You got me there. B-but I mean, for the future, you know? Just... go with someone before walking off..."
When the metallic skeletons approach, the rogue glances over to Janna to see if she'll take the lead on this, if not, she will.
"We're not intruders! We all suddenly woke up in this place and we're just looking for a way out. We had spoken to your friend earlier too! Um... Number Three was their name I believe... And we also took care of that caterpillar thing on the stairs..."

Curious. Well you do not appear to be one of those creatures, so you may pass."
The two creatures move to the side and allow you to exit the tomb. But when you make it outside, you are not greeted by the sight of Roslar's Coffer or any other place that you could possibly recognize. Instead, the landscape outside the tomb is bathed in grim moonlight. Dead trees adorn pale, rolling hills, each of which is covered with gravestones that march away to the dark horizon. The moon above is impossibly large and looks down upon you as a glowering skull.

Shi identifies this area as the Boneyard, the plane of existence where Pharasma, the Goddess of death resides and where the souls of the dead wait to be judged by her before going on to spend eternity in an appropriate plane based on their deeds in life.

Shi's eyes light up. "This is the Boneyard. Pharasma lives here, and judges the souls of the dead before sending them to the right afterlife. So many dead here..." She murmurs, beaming.
Morticia looks proud of herself at the chance to speak up and do so successfully without it leading to another fight! All that pride and confidence carries over till they leave, and are met with the sight of what most definitely was not Roslar's Coffer. Grey hues widen in horror when Shi explains just where they were.
"W-why are we here?! W-we're not really dead, are we?!"She starts touching parts of her body, squishing her tummy and pinching her cheeks, thinking this might all be a terrible dream.

Shi blinks and looks over at Corinne, shrugging. "I don't know why we're here." She examines her hands curiously, a dozen different skin shades rippling over her fingers. "Perhaps we are dead. But there is very little we can do about that fact if so. May as well keep going." She looks around calmly.
Greyce had fallen silent and to the back of the group. Their eyes danced from each of them, absorbed in their flow of interaction. Grey eyes would flicker black as they bounced from one individual to the next and a smile threatened to tug at their lips. The warrior puffed out their chest confidently as they felt a sense of desire to be protective wash over them. They'd take a sentinel position with their head on a swivel, keeping an eye out for any aggressive bones. Scythe was at the ready.
As you speak and try to find out what's going on, two creatures approach you. One is a looming skeletal humanoid with large wings and a metallic jackal mask for a head. On the skeletal beings' shoulder is what appears to be a black raven wearing a porcelain mask. As the beings close in, the masked bird begins to speak in a high-pitched feminine voice. “Oh, isn’t this a meeting of obvious fortuitousness! Here you are, and here we are. My name is Umble, and my silent companion here is named Thoot. We mean you no harm, despite the strange harmaments you seem to have already suffered. Yes, yes, this is the land of the dead, and no, you aren’t dead yourselves. You seem to be something of a special case—you seem a touch too vitalitinous for this place.” The bird peers closely, cocking her head to one side. “Ah, there is a wonderment! Your hearts have something lodged inside them. Something that’s brought you here, but kept you from doing so in the orthodoxiumous fashion. I cannot help but ruminate: what has caused your strange condition?”

"I asked who you were, not your names," Shi says with the faintest of smiles. "Psychopomps! But I've never seen any of you before...I think. Fascinating." She looks severely tempted to poke Thoot curiously, but restrains herself. "You didn't answer my other question. Do you know what is in our hearts?"
