'See if you can find something older, with a better provenance? I'm interested in Old Delzoun, Primordials and anything that could help.' Orvok sighs and rubs his eyes, suddenly feeling so very tired. 'So many millennia of knowledge and craft, lost to the orcs and damn illithids.' He goes to spit, then remembers where he is and harrumphs as he swallows instead.
'I need some fresh air. Will you send a messenger to find me when you have something..?'
With that he stands, and starts to make his way out of the library.
(Passive Perception 12 to see if he spots Mavshoon on the way out - would imagine they've shared an ale or two in the past)
Hino laughs at Barbär's obvious befuddlement. "You academics are all the same. Always books, books, books!" she says as she slaps herself in the buttocks. "Fine...", she continues, "since you're new in these parts, I'll give you the insiders discount tour." And with that, she grabs Barbär by the arm, and strolls him down the way to the entrance to the Candlekeep library, where once again, she manages to bump face first into another absentminded dwarf (...Orvok).
Peeling herself out of the arms of Barbär, she dusts her sultry dress off and addresses Orvok: "My my, another lost dwarf. We seem to be invaded today by absentminded dwarven bookworms!"
Thrusting her hand out in greeting, she smiles a cheshire grin and announces "Names Hino. And you are?" And blushing (if warforged could even blush), she turns back to Barbär and laughs, "And sorry, but I forgot to ask your name as well, good sir stud muffin!"
Oh, my name is Barbär, and if you don't mind, I have supplied the Battlehammer Guard with all manner of arms and armor. So its less of book reading and more of a knowledge learned by hand.
Barbär notices the other dwarf in a recognition, and clenches a raised fist as a salute while he speaks.
One of these great fellows!
He gives a hearty laugh as he extends a hand and shakes.
These friends of yours then? Looks like I've made one as well, just a moment ago. Shes quite a marvel.
Wytchway, so you've heard, was a hamlet abandoned about thirty years ago due to monster attacks. Anyone in Candlekeep could tell you were it is. You're basically in the center of all knowledge of the Forgotten Realms.
Of course you are. I know none like you. Barbär takes a closer look around at the group, meeting their eyes. In fact, you are all uncommon to see. Its very nice to meet you all. My name is Barbär.
Addressing the gathering group, Hino's smile broadens as she sees her chance for making big money. "Wow, looks like all of you are looking for a good time! But first, you need to fill those curvy bodies of yours up with enough energy to compete with little 'ol Hino here" as she again slaps her buttocks. "What say you guys buy me lunch, and then I'll regale you of scandalous but true misdeeds that I may, or may not<winking>, have been responsible for?"
Orvok is heading out of the library, in need of fresh air and probably some combat drills, when he spots Mavshoon speaking with a young woman. He waves a greeting and wanders closer as he passes.
‘I’m going out for some fresh air. These damn books are giving me a headache. How are you getting on, Mav?’
"Ah Orvok my friend, I was just minding my own business as I always do..." and he'll give a sly wink "... when this book fell out of the sky, delivered perhaps by this dark messenger..." gestures at the raven "... and was just discussing it with Meera here." And he will show the book and map to the Dwarf.
As you leave, the raven pecks at a certain point on the map, but then returns to either the sky, or a safe distance away from you. When it's pecked, you can tell that your destination is "Chalet Brantifax". Little remains of the trail that once led to the chalet, which is depicted in the bottom left corner of the map, but the other landmarks are still present: rock formations called the Hand and the Horn, a tall outcropping of rock with three pine trees growing atop it, a river, a bridge, and a hill scorched by dragon fire. The raven leads the way.
You pass through the abandoned hamlet of Wytchway. It is dead quiet here in regards to humanoid life. All that remains is a broken-down wagon surrounded by rotted fences and dilapidated, fog-shrouded farmsteads overrun with wild pigs. You cross over the Wood Bridge, and your journey ends with a slog up a lonely hill, atop which is perched the chalet.
Chalet Brantifax stands atop a high hill overlooking fog-shrouded scrubland. It has brick walls, sturdy wooden doors with rusty iron hinges and fittings, oak floors between levels, and clay roof tiles. Most of the windows are encrusted with dirt and have drapes or wooden shutters in poor condition.
As you approach, skittish ravens perch atop the chalet and alight on the tombstones in its graveyard. They nervously stare and squawk at at you, but pose no threat.
“This place gives me the creeps...” Hino deadpans. “I have no idea why I allowed myself to be convinced to join you on this little jaunt...and following a devious bird, of all things. My word!”
Hino will approach the gate to the graveyard (area C9), peering over the fence at the gravestones. Can she read any of the names?
A seven-foot-tall wrought iron fence encloses a small graveyard south of the chalet. Set into the north side of the enclosure is a gate with the name BRANTIFAX worked into an arch above it. In the yard are four graves, each marked with an engraved headstone.

Let's say yes. Let's get the group together.

As a free action, can I regret my life choices?

Orvok makes a formal, crisp bow to Meera ‘Axebrother Orvok Battlehammer at your service.’ and then returns his attention to Mav and his book & map.
‘Interesting. Do you know anything about the Raven.’ he peers at it carefully... (Perception: 17)
"Other than it seems quite intent on us and this book, no I do not. I have even offered it some cake."

The raven seems to want to lift off. It scampers towards the exit, looking back at you all, and it looks like it wants you to follow it.
Orvok shares a look with Mav and Meera and, shrugging, follows the raven...
’Well, I was going outside anyway...’
Mavshoon tips his hat to Meera and says "After you...."
