The Eladrin laughed softly before moving some hair from Kasha's face. Thankfully, her hands were still rather clean, with the exception of some blood drops from when Kasha received a few arrows before. She then cupped her cheek while speaking softly:
"I'm no angel, kiddo, though thanks for the compliment. And it was... Yeah, a spell that the orc casted. I've got to admit that it also caught me off guard, **** he was fast. Now, let's get you going, tonight the bed will feel like heaven"

"Goal is to stay awake during battles, lass." He winks and hands her the chest of coins. "You're probably the least likely to horde that so I'm putting you in charge of it." "Yes! I am Floon!" Floon sputtered. "Hells, can we get out of here? Your arrival was most timely. What an awful couple of days!"
He's beat up pretty bad. He could use a heal. He's down to 1 HP.
"Volo hired us to find you." Bruvir shared with the man after he finished examining his solid kill. "Is there anyone/thing in this hideout that we need to deal with or worry about? Like the tentacle man?" He followed up afterwards.
Turning to the others once he received an answer. "So bring him back or clear out this hideout first? I care not either way."
Naumick shrugs. "Not sure he ever did? Frame like that, he's probably always been a little on the, um, 'soft' side." The dwarf goes to the door that Mr. Tentacles exited, he checks to see if it is trapped or locked.

Q11 - BACK DOOR
In the middle of this otherwise empty room is a stone pillar carved with a small symbol: a perfect circle with ten equidistant spokes radiating outward from its circumference. In the middle of this circle is a smaller circular indentation that bears a passing resemblance to a lidless eye.
Arcana/Investigation Check: 12 He begins to inspect the pillar and symbols on it (He'll also recast detect magic as a ritual if it's been more than 10 minutes since he last cast it) "These symbols and this room, maybe it opened some sort of portal or is a teleportation spell?" he'll navigate the room cautiously and quietly as he tries to make a decision on what the true nature of the structures are.
You surmise that by placing an object in a slot on the pillar would activate some sort of portal. However, it has been recently used and no object is around the room. It's very possible the mindflayer had it on his person, used it, and fled.
"This room definitely opens a portal, but we need a key of some sorts" he points to the slot. "Unless we have something to fill this, we're not going to be able to follow."
Bruvir grunted in acknowledgement before saying, "If we can't follow him then let's deliver the fool back and collect our reward. We know where it is if we need to come back for some reason."
"Am I dead?"she moaned to Feliara, her vision hazy. "Are you an angel? Who keeps hitting me? I don't like being level one."
After drenching himself and a few others in brain fluid, Sylivar skidded to a halt above Kasha. After facepalming himself this time, he offered a hand to help her up. "Purely accident, sorry! You seem to be gravitationally attracted to my elbows. Let's get out of here."
Syl rushes up to Floon and uses his shoulder and staff to help the man up. But not after taking his fair share of coins for himself, warily eyeing the shady dwarf and ensuring everyone cashed in on what they earned. He didn't care for ostentatiously dressed folks - they always had some sort of business that Syl didn't want to mess with - but they had a job to complete, preferably with Floon alive.
Naumick turns back from the room, giving Floon Fancy Pants a glare, "You were meant to hear, fool." He winks at Bruvir and then ushers the man toward the exit. "Let's head back and collect our coin. We can return when we are not worried about being so, um, soft."

THE YAWNING PORTAL
Volo is drinking alone in the Yawning Portal while anxiously awaiting news of Floon’s fate. He springs up and runs to embrace you all as soon as he sees you enter.
"Floon! Oh, this is wonderful news! Thank you, my friends! I confess that I have but few coins to spare. But never let it be said that Volo reneges on a promise. Allow me to present something much more valuable.” He holds out a scroll tube. “The deed to a remarkable property here in Waterdeep! We’ll need a magistrate to witness the transfer of ownership. I’ll arrange a meeting with one after you’ve inspected the estate and deemed it satisfactory.”
"What the heck is this?"Kasha asks. "Gimme that!"and she snatches it. She unravels the scroll, then does a double take, embarrassed. "Oh yeah. I can't read."and she hands it to someone else.

"Don't care. Volo didn't pay for manners." he commented to Floon as he walked by, giving the dwarf a nod before exiting the chamber and beginning the long walk back to the Yawning Portal. He was very much ready to collect his reward and rest after all of the action they'd experience today. And though he was loathe to admit it, he knew he easily could've died had traveled with some of the other riff-raff at the Portal who called themselves "adventurers"; and despite himself, he didn't hate the band of weirdos he had adventured with today.
At the mention of Volo's changed reward, Bruvir pulled out his hammer - the unwieldly large one that he carried for no particular reason - and slammed it forcefully onto the ground in front of him. "We had a deal Volo..." Bruvir growled at the main squeakily as he stepped on the head of the hammer to closer match his height to that of the human. "Hard coin is what I need and what was agreed upon. What are we supposed to do with some mangy property? It'll probably cost more to keep it than any profit we could make from it."
Kasha startles when Bruvir brings down the hammer. "Wait, property?" Kasha perks up at Bruvir. "Wouldn't that be worth more than what Volo would ever pay us?"she asks him. "Maybe we could fix it up and sell it? Think of the possibilities! If you want coin, I have plenty to spare to give you, if you want, Bruvir. I have no use for coin." She looked up at you and smiled innocently, like a child.
Should you accept and take the deed to Trollskull Manor, go ahead and LEVEL UP.
Once they got to the tavern, the first thing that the elf did was get something to drink together with a bit of bread to fill her stomach. She surely was tired after all that fighting, even though that she didn't do much. She was approaching the table when she almost spilled her drink
"Andskotans djöfull!"
Feliara suddenly exclaimed in draconic after hearing what they were receiving instead of the money. She rapidly approached them and got behind Kasha, taking a look at what the scroll said before speaking.
"We're getting a what?! Does it come with servants? Oh, how big is the garden? Forest-like?! And how many rooms? Oh, oh, does it have a swimming pool?!"

With a sheepish grin, Sylivar rapidly waves off floon and anyone else attempting to get touchy-feely with him. "You wouldn't want to know what I've been rolling in lately," he chuckles, voice momentarily faltering when Volo produced a deed to a house on a whim. He folds his arms over his staff and leans forward, precariously balancing on one leg. "A house? Just like that? Volo, let me know when some brains need punching some other time, right?" he asks, a sloppy expression of surprise etched on his features. Syl waves for a round of drinks. Purely for himself. He casts a quick glance around the party - what a strange menagerie of souls. He wasn't going to deny a house just because it was being shared by people he barely knew. He even enjoyed some of their presences. Even if heckling the grumpy 'giant' was too risky an endeavor for his kneecaps. Syl grins to himself. This is exactly why he hangs around in bars. He leans against the wall, legs crossed and arms folded. "I'm not sure about you lot, but I'm not turning down a room to sleep in." He winks. "Even if it needs to be shared."

"Is there any catch Volo? I'm assuming knowing where we might set up shop also provides you with access should you need our services once again yes? The equity is nice of course, but a full property seems rather much without a catch. I'll accept if the group agrees, but only pending our inspection."
