"Only if you tell us what's going on here!" Bruvir growled as he unsheathed the smaller of his two hammers, keeping up the pressure on the driver while they had the advantage. "What exactly is this stone and what are these damn cultists up to?!?" He held the weapon menacingly in his hands to help emphasize how prudent it would be to answer any of the groups questions truthfully.
Intimidation (advantage due to Subclass Feature): 17/20 + 3 = 23 (NAT 20!!)
Naumick glares at the driver, hoping to help Bruvir with his interrogation. However, it seems unnecessary...but Naumick glowers anyways...because that's Nom Nom's resting face.

She looked how the driver gave the stone to her good friend Syl and after that she lowered the tip of her sword. She pondered for a few seconds before sheathing it. With the toughest voice she could do, she talked to the other elf with a small smile.
"We happy?"

Before he was ousted from his position as the Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember embezzled half a million dragons and hid them in a secret vault. As a security precaution, he arranged for all knowledge of the vault’s location and defenses to be magically erased from his mind and the minds of his subordinates. The wizard who performed the procedure trapped this knowledge within that artifact you're holding called the Stone of Golorr. The wizard disappeared shortly thereafter, and Dagult hid the stone in the Palace of Waterdeep.
Dagult was off rebuilding the city of Neverwinter when the other Lords of Waterdeep voted him out of office. He immediately made plans to retrieve the Stone of Golorr and smuggle his cache of dragons out of Waterdeep. His spies plucked the stone from the palace but were killed while trying to leave the city. The stone was stolen and passed from one hand to another like a common jewel until it wound up in the clutches of Xanathar. Well, it got stolen from there, too, so they're looking for it too. I work for the Cassalanters, a family of cultists who worship Asmodeus. This stone has changed many hands. Attune to the stone, and you'll know where the vault is."
Naumick raises an eyebrow, looking toward the others. "Half a million dragons?" he let a long sigh. "That's a lot of coin folks." He eyes the stone, dreaming a bit about the possibilities, before shaking his head clear. "Best put that thing away until we get a notion what to do with it."

Bruvir forgot how to breathe for a moment as the man told his story, only remembering when his body screamed in pain at the lack of oxygen. Going into a quick coughing fit, Bruvir eventually composed himself and squeaked out weakly, "Yes... Let's head back to the manor. I don't want anyone to know we have this..."
While he waited to see what the others would want to do, he mind raced with possibilites. 500 Thousand Dragons!?!?! That would be enough to pay that Witch and then some... Though he wasn't much of a schemer or planner, there was one thing Bruvir was absolutely sure of in that moment: One way or another, he would get his hands on that treasure, and not even the Stormfather himself would be able to stop him...
Syl's eyebrows raise in bewilderment at the amount of dragons stated. "Shit, well - I guess we found something quite interesting," he mutters, reaching forward and turning the stone between two fingers, eyes sparkling with interest. "I'll be damned. With that amount of coin, we won't need to work a day in our lives." The possibilities were endless. He cuts a stern glance at the driver. "Work for whoever - don't tell anybody about this, right? Might be better for you to hang with us. We won't sacrifice you to any fiendish deities." Syl attempts an attunement to the stone - more out of interest for the adventure rather than the prize. Experiences were prizes enough.
You immediately become aware of the following facts:
1. The Stone of Golorr is a glossy, greenish-gray stone that fits in the palm of your hand. The stone is actually an aboleth named Golorr, transformed by magic into an object. It is domineering and hungry for knowledge, it's personality is alien and offworldish.
2. The Stone of Golorr has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn of the spell Legend Lore. While holding the stone, you can expend 1 of its charges to cast the legend lore spell. By using the stone to cast legend lore, you communicate directly with the aboleth, and it will share its knowledge with you. The aboleth can’t lie to you, but the information it will provide is, at times, often cryptic or vague.
3. The aboleth knows where Lord Neverember’s secret vault is located. It also knows that three keys are needed to open the vault and that a gold dragon named Aurinax inhabits the vault and guards its treasures.
If you wish to access the vault, you will need to find those three keys.
She didn't even finish that the other elf had already started the procedure. She watched him closely, trying to see if he was suffering or something, maybe a curse was laid upon him. But no, he seemed fine, for now. After the attunement seemed to have ended, she approached him carefully and, after pondering for a second, she poked him with her index finger on the cheek.
"So, what happed, treasure hunter? What did you learn? Maybe how to make a portal to Woden-knows-where? Or one of those damned riddles that we'll have to solve? Oh, please don't tell me that the stone revealed you that the treasure that we'll find is the friendships we made along the way"

"He can tell us when we're back at the manor and away from this one." Bruvir started pointing at the frightened driver next to him. "I don't want anyone besides us to know the details about this hidden fortune." Turning to the man, he said "You better get out of here and forget everything about this stone or us. Even better if you take a permanent vacation away from Waterdeep."
Syl's hands curl around the gray-green stone. A voice rings through his head. It wounded like a talking three-eyed fish. What in the nine hells?
He shakes his head and returns his amber gaze on the party. He shrugs his shoulders as he listens to the stone before slipping it into one of his pockets for safekeeping. "There's a weird-ass fish thing speaking in my mind," he mutters, blinking as if clearing his head. "It wants knowledge. Seems quite demanding. Apparently I can ask it for information..." he pauses. The edges of his eyes widen and his mouth opens in surprise. "And it just told me the location to the hoard. Apparently we need three keys and to get past a gold dragon. Damn," he whistles. "The joke's appreciated, but if all I was here for is adventure, I would have had my fair share. Come on - let's get those dragons," he cheers, rubbing his palms together. "To the mansion for some rest, though? That might be a good idea...I say we keep watch; people have killed for this stone."
Kasha stood back up and looked at Syl. "Three keys. Mhmm. Mhmm."she nodded. "Ok. And a gold dragon. Mhmm. Mhmm."she said sagely. "What about the watermelon?!"she cried.

"Aye I am all for this plan. Let's get out of this cesspit and celebrate our discovery!" Bruvir commented, back in a jolly mood after the treasure news. "And what watermelon Druid?" he asked Kasha completely confused by her outburst?

"Ok! Ok! Shit!" the driver says, shaking in fear. He hands Syl the stone. "Please don't hurt me! Let me go!"

Kasha comes too, rubbing her head. "Uggghhh.." she moans. "So much money. Hello? Who's going to attuned to that stone?" she asked, like it was obvious.
Syl's eyebrows raise in bewilderment at the amount of dragons stated. "Shit, well - I guess we found something quite interesting," he mutters, reaching forward and turning the stone between two fingers, eyes sparkling with interest. "I'll be damned.
