Kasha sighs loudly, impatient. "Sheesh, it's been, like, 6 hours since we through in the meat! Where is sh-??"
You hear water breaking. A woman's head pops up at the edge of the pier, holding to it, like in a swimming pool. She takes a quiet moment to look over you all quietly, but does not exit the water. Only her head up to her eyes are above water. Her hair is golden, almost bronze. Her skin is incredibly tan, but perfectly unblemished.
"A woman??" Bruvir said in complete surprise to the others, "Were the rumors of a dragon a lie? Or do you think that's it in disguise...?" Of all the situations that Bruvir had imagined after throwing the meat into the water, this was for sure near the bottom of the list.
Feliara looked at Kasha slightly angry, but, when she saw her reaction, her face relaxed and she only tousled her hair with a smile.
"Come on Kasha, I hope you won't say such obscenities in front of a dragon."
After that, she followed the group to the docks and looked at how Bruvir threw the piece of meat into the ocean. She sat on the floor and decided to play some tunes to entertain her friends. She sang about dragons and their mythical power, how their treasures were the best in the realm and how their intelligence was unsurpassed. Hopefully, if the dragon decided to spy on them before talking, that would cause a nice impression. But the dragon didn't appear, not for a long while, so she decided to take a rest and save her beautiful voice for later.
Six hours... Damn, her ass was starting to hurt from sitting on those hard docks. She yawned and lazily looked at Kasha when she spoke before the soft sound of the water moving broke her trance. She rapidly turned her head to the side and observed that woman's coming out from the water. Was that someone who fell? She didn't hear any splash so it wasn't really possible. She stood up and tried to hide a slight blush on her face as she approached the edge of the docks to look at her. She was beautiful, like a goddess, though the circumstances were quite strange. Feliara leaned a bit forward and suddenly she took a step back, kneeling down in respect. Bronze hair, bronze skin... There was only one reason for that, and coincidence wasn't its name. She tugged Kasha's and Bruvir's pants a bit to tell them to kneel, not daring to lift her head.
"Come on Kasha, I hope you won't say such obscenities in front of a dragon." "Only on Tuesdays."
"You two, kneel now. Don't you see it?!" "Yes, I just said hi to it. Why are we kneeling?"
Zelifarna studied you four for another moment, raised from the water so her mouth wasn't submerged, and asked simply, "Why did you throw meat into the sea?"Her voice was calm and inquisitive.
Zelifarna studied you four for another moment, raised from the water so her mouth wasn't submerged, and asked simply, "Why did you throw meat into the sea?"Her voice was calm and inquisitive.
Still taken a bit aback by the dragon's appearance and demeanor - it truly was not what he was expecting - he stepped forward towards the creature and said rather gently (for Bruvir at least). "We wanted to speak with you, but didn't know how best to get your attention. We thought you might be hungry..."
Zeli rose from the water, like magic. Immediately she was dry. She was tall, slender, like a dancer, and wore a simple silk dress that hugged her figure wonderfully, and nothing more.
"Oh, my god, you're gorgeous."Kasha said, gulping loudly.
Zeli observed us for a moment.
"We wanted to speak with you, but didn't know how best to get your attention. We thought you might be hungry..." "You are not here to steal my possessions?"
Syl immediately thinks to make a snide comment - or perhaps a witty one; the woman was a beauty - before his eyes widen in realization. He bends at the waist in a manner of respect. After Bruvir speaks, Sylivar raises his amber eyes, a witty smile playing over his expression. When in Waterdeep, or so they say. "My, you're a beauty- I would never steal from someone so gorgeous as you," he chuckles. Didn't dragons like praise? He saunters forwards, continuing to bow in deference. "Forgive us for the crude manner of arranging this conversation. We do not seek to steal - in fact, we could potentially add to your wealth." A pause. A sheepish, charming grin. "You are the dragon, right?"
"My, you're a beauty- I would never steal from someone so gorgeous as you," he chuckles. Zeli cracks the smallest of smiles. "Thank you. And, that is very good to know." "Forgive us for the crude manner of arranging this conversation. We do not seek to steal - in fact, we could potentially add to your wealth." "You are forgiven."she takes another light step towards you all. Off in the distance, the sailors look at you all curiously, but do not advance. "You are the dragon, right?" "I am indeed. Do not let my human form fool you. State your business, then." she requests, more sweeter, now.
Kasha is watching you both, but with Zeli, with utter fascination - like admiring a beautiful painting.
"Well, it's an odd request, but we would like one of your scales. We're willing to buy one off of you are help you out in exchange." Bruvir added tentatively. He still seemed rather flustered and surprised by the Dragon's surprise appearance.
Syl grins his normal, witty grin, one elbow leaning on his staff as his legs cross. The shore was a nice place to be - perhaps buying a property here one day would be a fine idea. If only sand didn't get everywhere. "Our little group has followed a wild goose chase by word of an aboleth, Zelifarna. Beautiful name, by the way - we seek a vault; one key of which happens to be the scale of a bronze dragon." Sylivar smirks. Dragons were prideful creatures - and more than anything, they valued gold. Flattery wouldn't do any harm, either. A monetary bribe would probably be necessary at one point or another. If only to appease to the dragon's avaricious side. "Now, I expected to be crawling around bars, staking out murderers, and running around sewers - for the third time. Speaking with you is an altogether pleasant experience compared to the rest. What do you say, dragon? One fine, bronze scale of yours in exchange for a thousand dragons of the gold variety?"
Zeli padded over to you, looking you over. "You are indeed skilled in the verbal arts. I like you. So. Let us see. A wild goose chase by word of an aboleth. Here in Waterdeep interesting."she says, her hand on her chin. She smells like honey. "I wonder why a bronze dragon scale would be one of the keys to this vault. But, I do enjoy material wealth, that's for sure. This must be a great hoard of riches if a dragon scale would be needed to open it. I wish to counter offer. Ten percent of your findings."she looks at you with a soft smile.
"You are so pretty!"Kasha breathed.
Zeli looked at Kasha, like a kind mother would to a loving child. "And you, my dear, need a bath."
Sylivar’s devil-may-care grin graces his features as one knee impacts the sand below. The Elven courts Sylivar used to call home required some level of politeness in casual greetings; the usually bumbling Sylivar somehow manages to execute well-practiced manners when needed. He places a kiss on the back of Zelifarna’s hand before standing and reflecting the smile. “An Aboleth in Waterdeep surprised me just the same. Honestly? I’m not questioning the strange nature of keys rumored to unlock vast wealth - but it seems fitting one such key lies in the hands - or scales - of one of your magnificence. Ten percent. Done deal.” Even more valuable perhaps is the word of a dragon commanding Kasha to take a bath. If she doesn’t, Syl wonders what cosmic forces will need to align to force the Druid into one.
Sylivar’s amber hues meet the dragon’s with a daring glint. One drunken day he had bet gold with the dockworkers here he’d score with a dragon someday. Never did he ever expect to even meet one - and he was determined to win the wager. “I hail from the noble families of the island of Evermeet. I found the stuffy politics quite boring compared to the whimsical journeys of adventurers.” His eyes playfully run up and down Zelifera’s figure. He definitely agrees with Kasha’s words - but something tells him acknowledging them in voice at the moment, though, wasn’t too wise of an idea. “My regrets are none, Zelifera - if I never left Evermeet, I never would’ve come across the likeliness of you.” Perhaps he could wager the price down. Eight percent, maybe? Five? Who knows.
“My regrets are none, Zelifera - if I never left Evermeet, I never would’ve come across the likeliness of you.” Her eyebrow raises. And not in a good way. "Zelifarna." she corrects, taking a moment to look at the camera without moving her head. However, her demeanor changes. "You have gotten my name wrong. I should eat here right here and now on the spot. However, I will allow you to rectify your error by buying me dinner. I am hungry. I have not eating in many hours. Choose a tavern of your choice. Say it's name into the air, and I will join you once the sun has set. Here is your scale for you."
And as if there were no negotiations, she takes a step back and like a stone, sinks into the ocean from the pier.
"Holy ******* shit." Kasha then startles, covering her mouth and looking at Feli with a look of fear. Then, "We're still alive. She just..asked you to dinner!"Kasha was completely flabbergasted.
Sylivar‘s cheeks flush and he internally winces as his player realizes typing dragon names on mobile is bound to lead to a spelling error at one point or another. Still, though, he considers the talk a success. He repeats Zelifarna’s name in his head a few times. He wouldn’t ever be saying it incorrectly. He specifies the name of the most high-end tavern in Waterdeep - he’d been to them all. And, besides, now they had the money to afford it.
He swivels to the rest of the party with a wide - albeit somewhat sheepish - grin. He holds up the scale for the rest of the party. “I’ve been told I’m a charmer. I don’t need magic for it. Come on - let’s sort out the other few keys before nightfall, eh? I have a date to catch.”
1. One of the keys is sheet music. The dwarf love song, “Your Beardy Face,” is a duet performed by bagpipers. You can obtain this music easily for 1 gp and hire two performers to play the piece for 10 gp each. Or, anyone who has proficiency with bagpipes can perform the song, though a successful DC 10 Charisma (Performance) check using bagpipes is required for the performance to count as this key.
2. A scale from a bronze dragon is the second key. Zelifarna, a young bronze dragon, has taken up residence in Deepwater Harbor. Many sailors and dock workers have seen the dragon, so asking around might prove fruitful results. DONE
3. Finally, the last key is a unicorn. Although conjuring up a real unicorn is likely beyond your abilities at the moment, you could ask Laeral Silverhand or Vajra Safahr to cast the conjure celestial spell. You can gain an audience with Laeral or Vajra through Renaer Neverember or another well-connected NPC that you can think of. They'd probably want to know why you're asking for such a request, so be careful what you say.

Kasha takes a step forward and meekly waves at the woman in the water, peeking.
"Hello. I'm Kasha!"
The woman doesn't say anything, but continues to observe you all from the water. Even with just half of her face showing, she's beautiful.
>>Hell yeah, let's ****in' DO it!"

That gives Zelifarna pause. One of her eyebrows raise and a slow smirk develops.
"Indeed, an odd request. You would like one of my scales? Curious. And, may I ask, do you plan on doing with it?"
Kasha gulps so loud you can hear it.
Syl grins his normal, witty grin, one elbow leaning on his staff as his legs cross. The shore was a nice place to be - perhaps buying a property here one day would be a fine idea.
