Kiori turns his attention to the dragon and runs towards it screaming in giant "val linjestein!" while swinging his flail at the monster. Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Kiori bursts through the fiery illusion and brings his flail down on the dragon's head. You all hear a loud crack and then silence. After a moment, the dragon slumps to the floor, unmoving.
Raadox blinks and sits up as Daeryyl heals him. "Thanks again, little one," he smiles. He looks at the body of the dragon. "It's dead? It's dead! You did it! Superb work everyone," he shivers as the extreme cold washes over him again. "Did you kill it? Or knock it out?"
He then gets up and starts jumping around to warm himself up again. Looking at Meepo's body he says, "I guess the kobold escort didn't make it. So what now?"
As soon as Kiori fells the dragon the wall of fire disappears and Selene hurries over to the fallen Raadox and kneels beside him looking for signs of life.
A short moment later she is geatly relieved as Daerryl brings Raadox back from the brink of death. "Yes you are truly a life saver Daerryl, you all are. Selûne be blessed that I found you three. I realize I wouldn´t have lasted many moments in this citadel without all of you. I am sorry that I thought it would work out well trying to rescue Calcryx, I was obviously very wrong. I will listen more to your advice henceforth my friends. I can´t help but wonder how the kobolds ever managed to hold this creature captive though. Suffice it to say I consider our deal with Yusbrayl off. We should perhaps rest now before deciding how to proceed with our quests. May I suggest the room next to the rat nest (resting in area 29) as it would be fairly easy to defend should we have visitors while resting." Selene then joins to wherever the others prefer resting reminding the others to collect or take care of our five goblin prisoners on our way there.
"Yes, a night at the Ol´Boar Inn sounds very tempting compared to the accommodations of this citadel but it is quite a walk there I think. We could search this room quickly I suppose but I wouldn´t expect to find any hoard of Calcryx´ here, possibly some valuables collected by that goblin hunter though."
Selene is prepared to wait for a quick search of the room and if it is reasonable to go back for a sleep at the Inn then she will certainly go there.
The wyrmling has scoured the room and gathered all items of worth into a nest she made behind the table. The valuables include a dragon-shaped, jade figurine (worth 20 gp), a crystal goblet (5 gp), and twenty-four pieces of fine silverware (1 gp each).
Of particular note is a sealed scroll case carved of bone, carrying an inscription. Runes in the Dwarvish alphabet spell out the word “Khundrukar.” An old parchment is within the case. Age and water damage have destroyed most of it, but a short message in Dwarvish remains: “… the remaining few. By order of Durgeddin the Black, we have created a secret dwarven redoubt. None shall find us; however, …”
"Oh, a dragon hoard after all, should be able to cover our expenses in town I guess." Selene smiles at the cute little dragon hoard found. "Can someone translate this text?"
Kiori takes a moment to look at the dragon before answering to Raadox "I just hit it as hard as I can, I don't think is getting back up ever again." The goliath looks at his companions and, seeing that everyone is still there, lets out a sigh of relief. "This dragon was mad with rage, maybe it went inside after staying in a cage too long." Ignoring the hoard, he kneels down next to the dragon corpse and takes a dagger, trying to carve out one of the dragon's teeth to keep as a trophy.
He turns to Selene "a warm meal at the inn would be nice. But I don't think the kobolds are going to let us go now that the dragon is dead."
"Perhaps not Kiori, we could certainly run in to opposition on our way back to town, but unless the kobolds has repositioned their forces we won´t run in to them if we take the shortest way out."

"I don't speak the language of the dwarves. Perhaps Daeryyl does?" Raadox tells Selene. "I for one am very keen to return to the inn - or at the very least a campsite in the wilds outside this sunken fortress. Probably the toughest challenge has been met and defeated, but we need a rest before we continue to look for this Outcast fella. And," he continues, looking at the gnome, "If we have to take on a tribe of kobolds upset with us - so be it!"
"Let us get moving then gentlemen so we can reach the Ol´Boar Inn by nightfall. Keep your eyes open for ambushes, by that goblin hunter in particular."
Selene then prepares to leave for the town, bringing the goblin prisoners.
You are able to sneak out of the ruins and begin heading back along the moonlit road. You hear a strange rustling noise as you pass into the forest. Three plant-like creatures step forward, raising their hands and needles growing out of them.

“Yes indeed. I could certainly do with a proper sleep. But before we do - does this dragon have a hoard?”
