Donir, with his homunculus in tow, enters the next room and engages the flameskull (4) in the southwest corner of the room. A moment later, the zip of an arrow from Fargoth's bow is heard, and the skull (1) in the northwest corner is partially shattered by the shot.
Three of the tiny, hovering undead respond by attacking the only enemy they can see: Donir.
Four magic missiles from flameskull 1: 18
Four magic missiles from flameskull 2: 18
Fire ray ranged attack #1 from flameskull 3: 18 causing 14 fire damage, if successful
Fire ray ranged attack #3 from flameskull 3: 6 causing 12 fire damage, if successful
After launching his magic missiles, one of the skulls (1) flies directly through the flaming sphere at the northern archway.
The fourth skull (4) seals off entry to the second room by creating another flaming sphere in the southern archway.
Brevig,Gwin, and Patrin may act in any order and, thereby, end round 1. Gwin is invisible. Skulls 1 and 4 are wounded. All skulls are hovering approximately 20' above the floor. The room is flooded with bright light (I've opted to omit the illumination circles).
Patrin sighs, recognising the hubris that comes with invisibility, but not silence, from a previous escapade, but having to now respond to events in the moment.
He attacks the only opponent he can see in his vicinity (skull 2), casting forth his trademark silver and gold blasts of force…
Brevig dashes into chamber 2, leaping over the flaming sphere if running through it will cause damage. He turns right to confront the flaming skull in the southeast corner of the room.
Gwin allows a few words to spill off her tongue that would be considered unbecoming to a cleric. Seeing her companions compromised by her own clumsiness galls the dwarf and she retaliates with ferocity.
Sending a dazzling flash of electricity toward skull 4 the cleric then turns her attention on skull 2, with the magic sword of Tyr appearing within inches of it. In a swift slash motion the sword attacks the disembodied skull.
Guiding Bolt: 13 If successful, radiant damage: 22
Brevig dashes into chamber 2, leaping over the flaming sphere if running through it will cause damage. He turns right to confront the flaming skull in the southeast corner of the room.
Per the rules regarding high jumping, Brevig can leap over the flaming sphere because (1) he is able to complete 10' of movement prior to the jump, and (2) his STR modifier + 3' allows him to clear an object that is 7' high. All of this can be done with 30' of movement; therefore, no dash action is needed. So, Brevig can end his movement one square to the right (or left) of Donir and then take an action.
Before I advance the story then, what is Brevig's action?
Brevig leaps over the flaming sphere and now joins Donir and Gwin in the second room. The paladin then creates a column of eerie moonlight in the southeast corner of the room, causing the flameskull (3) to emit a piercing shriek.
Round 1 concludes. Donir and Fargoth may act. All flameskulls have been wounded and remain approximately 20' above the floor.
N.B. Looks like I used the same shade of blue for Brevig and Fargoth. Sorry about that.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grumbling as he looks up at the skull floating above him, Donir fires up his lightning boots and rockets up to its height, throwing a heavy uppercut its direction, followed by a quick jab that would ideally break its nose, if it still had one.
Attack: 15 Damage: 15
Attack: 26 Damage: 14
Homunculus Attack: 22 Damage: 5

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Donir's first impact sends the flameskull straight into the ceiling. The skull's eyes go black and the wreath of green flames is extinguished as it then falls to the floor, making a loud clattering noise. The flaming sphere in the south entrance is simultaneously extinguished.
Donir's homunculus may direct its attack elsewhere this round. Fargoth may act. Skull 4 is dead and the entrance to the second room is no longer blocked by flame.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I forgot to roll the radiant damage to flameskull 3 (from Brevig's action in post #546):7, which is halved by the successful CON save
NOTE: Flameskull 4 had been killed by Donir; so, I'll modify Fargoth's action to reflect that he targeted flameskull 2 instead.
Fargoth releases yet another deadly arrow, striking the skull in the northeast corner (#2) and sending it lifeless to the floor. Its demise extinguishes the remaining flaming sphere that blocked the north archway. Fargoth then vanishes into the shadows in the first room.
The flameskull that exited the room a few seconds ago continue its flight to somewhere else in Chorandan. The lone remaining skull hovers northward before a bright streak flashes from its eyes, creating an fireball that nearly engulfs the entire room. Gwin, Donir, and Brevig are momentarily blinded by the heat and light. (suffering 29 fire damage, which can be halved on a successful DC 13 DEX save)
Despite being in the other room, Fargothand Patrin feel the warmth of the blast as well.
Brevig, Gwin, and Patrin may act. The large orange circle indicates the radius of the fireball (which has dissipated, of course)
Gwin looses another Guiding Bolt at the remaining skull, and slashes at it with Tyr's sword just in case the jolt of electricity doesn't finish it off.
Guiding Bolt: 15 If successful, radiant damage: 22
The combination of Gwin's guiding bolt and spiritual weapon brings an end to the fray with the flameskulls. Chorandan is once again quiet and almost entirely dark.
Gwin blows a few stray tendrils out of her face and chuckles wearily. I got blasted a bit, but am mostly fine. I think I'll leave the stealth, invisible or otherwise, to Fargoth from now on.
Does anyone need healing before we continue on?

The five of you assess the damages caused by the flameskulls, mindful that one of the hovering undead left the fight very early on. Despite your heightened awareness and suspicions about what lies ahead in Chorandan, you are caught wholly off guard by the appearance of a cloaked figure in the northern archway of the second room. Holding a quarterstaff in his left hand is a male shadar-kai. Silvery-grey hair extends to his waist. His skin is eerily pale, but he has a regal bearing about him nonetheless. His sudden and silent appearance causes you to doubt that he merely approached you on foot.
Choosing to reply in kind to Patrin, the shadar-kai speaks in Elvish. "Visitors to Chorandan! Visitors powerful but intending no harm! Excellent! Although my skulls don't seem to be themselves, do they?"
You don't sense that he is actually that much troubled by the demise of the three flameskulls that lie on the floor in the room.
"I am Skree, Lord of Chorandan and Bane of Hargrim. But, most of all, I am bored. But it seems my tedium is to be abated!"

'Well, we're announced I guess...' says Patrin, with a wry smile. 'Are you okay Gwin? That fireball looked pretty nasty. Anyone else?'
He then calls out loudly in Elvish.
