Patrin screams in pain as the axes bite through his scales, his thick draconic blood pouring out of him. Recognising his peril he changes tack, and summoning some inner fortitude he brandishes a crystal, that flares with an intense golden light that explodes out into something akin to a golden glitter that swirls and gather around the two orogs who have just injured him, the female spell caster and Kridash. The glitter gathers on them, as though magnetised, then goes dull and vanishes, their power spent.
Patrin has cast Hold Person on 4, 5, 13 and K. Then need to make a DC17 WIS ST or be paralysed for 1minute (they can try and save again at the end of their turns)
He then holds his hand to his wounds again, the soothing healing light mending the worst of his injuries...
Patrin uses his Healing Light again for 23 hp back...
Donir grunts as the orcs' blades bite into him, but stands his ground. He assaults the previously attacked orog with renewed vigor, flame bursting from each attack.
On the stairs, Brevig now finds himself facing only one foe, for he has slain the half-ogre and Fargoth's arrow has eliminated another orc.
Donir's first strike smashes into the orog (6), adding another dent to the beast's plate armor, but the artificer's second attack glances off harmlessly.

Yet again, the room is ablaze with light and energy as Gwin strikes the frozen leader of the Hi-Thoror with her bolt. And for a third time, the cleric's summoned blade cuts into the orog.
Round 5 concludes
The lone orc in the stairwell steps toward Brevig and levels a swing with its greataxe...
Melee attack: 13 | 6 slashing damage, if successful
Atop the granite column, the wounded orog, seemingly unphased by the nearby spiritual weapon, hacks twice at Patrin...
Melee attack: 22 | 6 slashing damage, if successful
And Kridash, the female orc shaman (13), and the remaining orog (5) set the entirety of their mental strength toward breaking free of Patrin's spell...
DC 17 WIS saves for Kridash 8 : the orc shaman 3 ; orog 5 11
The war chief shakes off the spell, and his face immediately reflects his rage at being paralyzed for the past few seconds.
All players may act, in any order. The status of the Hi-Thoror is as follows:

Brevigturns down the stairs. As an afterthought, his morning star lashes out behind him, entwining the ankle of Orc 15, which he drags behind him down the stairs as it tries to scrabble away, then at the base of the stairs as his morning star is freed, the aasimar turns and slams it down on the orc again before turning his attention to Kridash. He nods thanks to Fargoth for handling the other orc.
Morning star attacks:
Attack #1: 23/ damage 5
Attack #2: 23/ damage 7
As an afterthought, the Watcher channels divine energy deep into the orc's dark soul.
Although Gwin is determined to see the war chief go down, she focuses on the immediate need of her Dragonborn friend.
Addressing Orog 4 she says, I've had just about enough out of you and looses a crossbow bolt in the creature's direction.
@DM: Ignore this spell Guiding Bolt: 26 If successful, radiant damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

And then to Patrin, the cleric utters a short incantation. By Tyr's righteous and just left hand be refreshed, and immediately the warlock feels some rejuvenation return to his body.
Brevig eliminates the last of the Hi-Thoror to come down the stairwell, where the orc crumples and lies in a heap. Atop the granite column, Patrin retreats, and Gwin restores a bit of the dragonborn's health.
(Actions for Donirand Fargoth remain. Patrin's concentration is broken; so, no enemies are paralyzed)
Fargoth nods back at Brevig, and lets him head past before stepping out from his hiding spot and aiming for Kridash. He tracks the flight of the arrow, before moving back into cover.
The orc shaman places her hand upon Kridash, casting some sort of spell on the war chief, who then rushes across the room toward the stairs. He did not see who shot the arrow that struck him, but he suspects the archer might be hiding in the hallway. The shaman then retreats into the darkness of the secret passageway.
And the two orogs facing Donir swing wildly, hoping to cut through the dwarf's armor...

Brevig
Shield of Faith Concentration check from Orc hit in prior round: 2
Brevig,Knight of Samular, ever Watchful, upon seeing the orc shaman cast some kind of spell on Kridash, calls upon divinity to disrupt her unholy connection to the orc chief, dismissing the spell with a wave. As Kridash closes, he whips his morning star against the stone floor, throwing up sparks, as he settles his shield firmly and his toes grip the earth within his boots. The watcher's prairie-wheat eyes lock proudly on the leader's. "It is your weapon we have come for. Lay it down and you may survive this day."
The paladin times a blow against Kridash, feinting a blow to his knees but whirling his weapon up and around at the last instant to strike cross-armed at his neck.
If the blow hits, the paladin channels divine energy from Amaunator from his beseeching heart into the Orc.
Divine Smite, 2nd level additional damage: 9
Then Brevig pivots back, smashes the orc's weapon away with his kite shield, springs up and brings another forceful blow up and over aimed at Kridash's ear, maintaining his connection with Amaunator if the spikes penetrate the orc's armor.
Attack #2: 28 damage: 10
1st Level Divine Smite if the attack hits: 8
1 Luck Feat reroll, use if either of the attacks misses:10
Fargoth's eyes widen in surprise, not expecting Kridash to make a beeline for the tunnel. With his bow in his left hand, he draws his rapier ands stabs to meet the oncoming orc, before retreating up to the top of the stairs, winding his way through the bodies, and attempting to duck out of sight.

Gwin is clearly shaken by the orog attacks. Shouting over to Patrin she says, Seems like I'm stuck between a clock and a hard place right now!I will send you all the healing I can muster once some of my strength has returned and I deal with this unholy beast. No sooner than "beast" escapes her lips, the now familiar sound of mournful bells fills the air directly over Orog 4.
The cleric then mutters a brief incantation under her breath and for a brief moment Gwin is bathed in light and her cheeks, which had lost most of their color, find some ruddiness once again.
Brevig hopes his counterspell accomplishes its task as the shaman flees the room, for he and Fargoth now stand face-to-face with Kridash at the bottom of the stairs, where they gaze into the war chief's cruel face and behold the dozens of scars that seem to cover every inch of the orc's exposed skin. Fargoth's rapier glances off Kridash's shield, but the twice-accurate combination of Brevig's morningstar and divine radiance cause the massive orc to stagger backward a full step. As he shakes off the shock and pain, Kridash sees only the paladin now; for, somehow, the rogue has disappeared.
Moments later the otherworldly sound of Gwin's spell causes the orog (4) to tremble and falter momentarily as its lifeforce quickly fades. The orog lives, but barely.
(Actions for Patrin and Donir remain. Orogs 4 and 6 are seriously wounded. Kridash and orog 7 are wounded. Orog 5 is unharmed)

Patrin, recovered somewhat, and also re-finding his poise now that he’s not toe to toe with the axe-wielding orogs, launches blasts of silver and gold crackling force at both of the badly injured orogs... ‘Damnable creatures!’ he exclaims, spitting out a gobbet of blood.
Eldritch Blasts at Orog 4, and if it dies, Orog 6 (if not, both blasts at Orog 4)
Patrin's plan works perfectly. The crackling energy from the warlock's magical blast subsides and two more members of the Hi-Thoror have been removed from the battle.
(Donir's action remains. Orogs 4 and 6 have been slain)
