Petcan, accompanied by Pepin happen to notice through the front window that a tiefling woman is gathering up some of the lutes and heading toward the back door.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
With a furrowed brow she approaches the window and gestures with a lute filled arm toward door which has a closed sign posted on it.
"Sorry, we're closed!"

Her gaze locks on the bag heavy with coin and she puts down the lutes in one hand to retrieve a key dangling on thick braided twine from between her ample breasts. She unlocks the door and holding it open with recently emptied hand ushers you inside, "Come in! Come in! I don't want every straggler on the street to think we're open and I've got packing to get back to."
She takes a step back and to the left while holding the door handle to allow you both entry and be ready to close the door again quickly once you're inside.
"What can I do for you? There's no discounts just cuz' we're closing up shop!"
"C'mon, c'mon, spit it out! In the meantime grab some instruments and lend a hand will ya." Once you're inside she again refills her hands with the lutes and begins heading toward the backdoor.

Skrud steps over to the window and stretches up on his tip-toes so he can just barely see out onto the street outside.
"Let's explore some! Skrud want to see more!"

"You see, I have come across something special that requires special care and thought. A producer of musical companionship extraordinary. A chance at a once in a lifetime creation. An instrument crafted of a dragon... An enormous black dragon's heartstrings to string an instrument would immediately be worthy of tales just for existing."
"A little early in the day to be sauced isn't it?" She responds with a raised eyebrow.
"What's that then, a Wyvern? Looks like ya scavenged some old Wyvern parts. Did you find those in a cave?" She places her armful of lutes down next to a large box with a few already laid flat in the bottom of it before turning to examine more closely what you're showing her.
"Yea, looks like some rotten Wyvern parts found in an old dusty, abandoned cave. What are ya lugging those about for?"

"Skrud not want to be killed! No, not kill Skrud! But maybe when it gets dark Skrud can sneak down the small streets and see what's at the other end? Just to keep Skrud from chewing his ears off from boredom." He shifts all the way from one bottom corner of the window to the other, angling his head as he goes to see the absolute most he can from the small window.

(OOC. During our time in the city, what kind of creatures and humanoids have we seen? Presumably there are more than just humans in the city? Or are there any groups of people routinely dressed in hoods/masks (maybe the local clown college)?
My thinking is that we should aim for a simple disguise. i.e. Trying to disguise a Goblin as a 6ft knight would be very difficult, but turning one into a child in Halloween costume should be easy.
Once we know what we need, someone can always go out shopping)
There are a variety of races. Laurentiis is one of the largest cities if not the largest. You did not witness any festivities that had children dressed in costumes.

After she places the lutes down she takes a seat in a nearby chair.
"Look, ya don't need some fancy instrument to make use of the heartstrings, I can help you."
She rises and goes to the front of the shop and draws the curtains before returning to the backroom.
"Do you have coin? What I'm about to propose doesn't come cheap."

"That's an impressive amount of coin but I'll only charge ya 600 gold if ya agree to what I propose."
She moves to several locations around the room, lighting a candle at each before moving on to the next.
"I know of a ritual. It will take about an hour to perform. Select the finest instrument you like from my shop and I will restring it with the heartstrings while performing the ritual."
After lighting the last candle she moves to the center and waits for you to present her with an instrument.
"Upon completion you'll have an instrument capable of recreating the awe inspiring presence of a dragon, but only once a day."
(ooc: able to cast Fear 1/day without components or a spell slot.)

”I am sorry, Skrud, but with an army of goblins besieging the city, you are likely to be killed on sight if you are seen undisguised,” says Randall.
“Have you guys worked on a disguise while we were gone?” he asks.
