Cassandra muttering curses, (edited to keep the chat clean) swings again with her longsword 18 to hit, 6 damage

at the same time, the spiritual weapon- a floating translucent curved longsword that resembles a bolt of lighting, also strikes at the beast:

22 to hit for 9 damage. (Force)

The same hum fills the air, if the smell of smell of sea wasn't overpowering you'd smell ozone as the quartz crystal powers up.  A bolt of silvery blue lightning erupts at the monster from the  quartz crystal embedded on the back of Ari's palm.  It looks like a chaotic and angry moonbeam seeking it's target.

Ari flips his wrist and shoots with his hand crossbow.  The weapon is empty, but as it's cocked a magical bolt of energy appears before the shot, it's color matching that of the lightning launch.

Captain Cass gets in two solid hits on the monster, but Ari's lightning shots are too unpredictable to hit anything, and both barely graze the monster's hair, having no affect on it.
