The monster is now extremely injured, and pulls something out of its rotting pants and points it at the group. Suddenly, streaks of light flash out at you.

Cassandra yells- “Argh ya beastie. That is gonna cost ye!!”

Cassandra attacks again with her sword, and the strange floating sword next to her also strikes:

Both miss. Ari or Grakus is up next.

And with a final blast of lightning, the monster sinks to its knees and keels over, dead. A small red stick falls out of its claw onto the deck 20 and gives off a little flash.

We search the monster.  What does it look like?  

Cassandra will pick up the red stick and look at it.

”NIce fightin me mates.  Ye killed ‘em dead right quick!  Anyone knows whot manner o beastie this is?  Why eee’s after us?   Nasty thing!”

"Not sure. I'll see if I recognize the thing. I recommend chopping it up and selling it."

“Are ye alright there Cass?! That thing looked mighty ugly, but I think you managed just fine eh?!”

Cass says“Aye, I’m tougher than I Look.  Could use a wee bit o rest after this.  Let’s see whot’s it’s got.   Hey Ari-  nice shootin with that lightnin thingy!   Me goddess would approve.   Whot ye arcane types make o’ this here magic stick?” 

(OOC-  I’m making an effort to put my character name in every post,  easier to follow that way!) 

Zar'ryth shrugged. "It's red, it's a stick, and a water monster was holding it. Other than that, I don't know."

Thiago walks up to cassandra and asks, "Could I see that?" Investigation 19

Cass says to Thiago-”Yeah sure.  Be careful where ya point it though.  Things got a bite”

"So Cassandra, how did the Crimsons wrong you? They're a disgusting group of people, but there are few willing to stand up to them."

Cassandra looks at Zar'ryth 

For a moment the anger and bloodlust in her eyes changes into a look of extreme sadness, she almost looks like she is going to cry.  Then her face hardens again.  “They killed em all.  Me family, friends.  Burned them.  Said it were an accident, but I knows whot I saw.  And the orders came from the top.  I don’t knows why.  But I’ll know someday.  Someday I will know.  and Goddess be willin they will pay...”. Her voice trails off and she turns away, back to the beast, perhaps to hide the tears in her eyes.  

Thiago raises his eyebrows, then turns around and whacks the stick on the railing of the Temptress.

Harold flies down to perch on Ari's shoulder. 

OOC - I assume I get the stick, but if not I will have Harold attempt to grab it.  

Ari casts identify on the stick. 

Ari then casts Cure Wounds on himself.
