A goblin woman gets up from her roasting fish at the bonfire and walks over to you, looking at you funny.
"What're you lot doin' here? You don't look like yer from the monthly merchant-crew, so who are ye?"

Cassandra says “we’re sailors traveling up the river and searching for members o the crimson fleet. We saw yer dock and thought we’d ask ye if ye’ve seen any signs o’ em”
"Signs of em? Miss, there's dozens of ships passing by us every day. Most none of them stop by, so we don't pay 'em no attention. I dunno what this fleet is, and I dunno nobody here that could tell ya. Now unless you got somethin' useful for Terrald to buy, ye can just get back onto the water, I need to get back to my fish."
She turns back to her roasting, and motions towards a shack across the square that appears to be a crude fishing supply store with a goblin man sitting at the counter sharpening a knife.

Inside the shop, the goblin you assume to be Terrald is sitting on a stool, fixing knots in a massive net. The shop is littered with every kind of fishing equipment imaginable.
"Ah, customers! Who might you people be?"

Robin casts detect magic as a ritual as they are approaching, staying back a bit from the shop until she has finished. Then she looks around the shop as the captains speak with the shop owner. To be clear she does not approach the shop until her spell is fully active.
“We’re just crew o a couple ships headin up stream lookin fer members o the crimson fleet, saw yer dock and decided to take a look at whot ye gots here”. Cass says, as she looks around.

You detect nothing other than your gear. It is just a normal, mundane fishing shop.

"I dunno about no Crimson fleet, but I do got some mighty fine fishin' supplies for ye to look at. Say, the ship you showed up in looks mighty large, I'll bet she could use a trawler net or two, whaddaya say? Only a hundred a pair!"

Robin loses interest fairly quickly, moving back out of the shop. She leaves talk of normal fishing gear to the captains as she moves around the small village, seeing if anything in the area gives off the sense of magic.
“Birdie” is interested in checking the trawler nets. He has spent many years on fishing vessels and has worked with a wide variety of quality of nets. He inspects the suppleness of the ropes, the intricacies of the knots, the floats and the weights. However, without creating booms for The Temptress or The ‘Stone, he is hard pressed to recommend the expenditure to the Captains.
Terrald notices Birdie inspecting the trawler nets, they look to be of the finest quality goblin technology can make. Simple, but sturdy.
"Good sir, I see you checking out the nets! They are a fine set of river-trawlers for you to use. These rivers are full of fish-aplenty for you to catch, and what easier way to do that than to use a trawler! Just toss 'em overboard and go about your trip downstream, and by the time ye reach your stop, they'll be full o' fish so sell! Whaddaya say about makin' some money by just sittin' on your bums?"

It's a very primitive fishing-settlement. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can detect during your walk.

Robin finishes her circuit of the village and then returns to stand waiting for the captains to finish any business they have here. During her circuit, did she notice any other paths leading elsewhere from here?

There are two paths, each with a crudely-marked sign.
One says "Outhouse," the other says "Berry Patch"

With a smile on her face, she goes to investigate the berry patch.

You find...
Berries. Goblins farming berry patches. What did you expect?
One of the goblins whispers something to his friend about the "strange lookin' frog lady" and then offers you a handful of blackberries.
If you feel inclined to look at what the other path has to offer, be my guest.

(OOC: Everyone, this river voyage is dragging on very slowly and boring-ly. If no-one has any objections, I believe it would be better if we just do another downtime skip until you get to your destination.)

“Well Captains, do you have any desire to become fishermen? Or any creative thoughts on how these nets could be repurposed?” “Birdie” scratches his scalp through the top of his Monmouth cap, trying not to reveal the blue bandana beneath.

“Birdie” says loud enough to be heard by our group.
”Anyone that’s lookin’ ta buy, might be lookin’ ta sell somethin’ interesting. We should check it out.”
”Birdie will wait and follow the Captains’ lead.
