"So... This is an absurd land. There are just.. random... werewolf brigands!? How the hell does this land work. is it composed of mystical fluff and the nightmares of small children!?" Zied complains at the absurdity of the last 3 days. "Giant bugs, Werewolfs, Vampires. Zombie hoards, a nightly ghost parade. Whatever god reigns in this world should get punted."

"Seriously," Sezsu responds. "This place is the worst." He points his sword as the fleeing werewolf tries to escape. Divine radiance descends on it and the creature howls as it runs. "Tell your wretched family to stay clear of us!" he shouts.

The young cleric looks around to be certain the werewolves are gone and no other dangers linger before sheathing his blade and letting his spectral mace dissipate.

"I don't think any god watches over this land. Quite a scary thought."It was the second time Alessa had to question her view of religion. "True werewolves... We had to be used to such horrors by now but it is still coming as surprise. Sezsu, have you been bitten?"She saw the attack but the young cleric kept a brave face and Alessa was not sure the attack hit. (Arcana: 20 ) "This is very serious. We never came across those monsters before, but... you know the legends and they are too often true. Especially here. Lycanthropy has no cure and spreads too easily."
She did one more thing before everyone moved - used a moment to cover herself with magical armour. Something, one should not neglect in a place like this.
Sezsu rubs the bite on his shoulder and just says, "Barely broke the skin. I'm fine. I never get sick and nefarious magics have a way of not sticking on me. Don't worry about it."
Alessa nodded, satisfied enough with the answer to push it on the background at least. "He did say who should we expect in the woods. Though, never mention how big his family is. I just hope we scared them away for good."
"And you know... Your shields are good, but let's add a bit of magic to your protection." Alessandra walked around the group, lightly touching one after the other and chanting the same words Mage armor on everyone!
Shots ring out as the group makes ranged attacks against the werewolves, driving them further into the mist. The sound of their thrashing through the woods quickly fades, and you are left alone once more.
Taking a moment to collect yourselves, Alessa notes the gruesome bite wound on Sezsu's arm before casting magical armor over all of her companions. Then, you continue on down the road, perhaps more wary of strangers than before.
Not too long after, a dark form comes shooting out of the sky toward Alessa! Grano lands on her pack.
Day 3 - 11:00 a.m.
An old wooden gallows creaks in a chill wind that blows down from the high ground to the west. A frayed length of rope dances from its beam. The well-worn road splits here, and a signpost opposite the gallows points off in three directions: Barovia Village to the east, Tser Pool to the northwest, and Ravenloft/Vallaki to the southwest. The northwest fork slants down and disappears into the trees, while the southwest fork clings to an upward slope. Across from the gallows, a low wall, crumbling in places, partially encloses a small plot of graves shrouded in fog.
Nearby, a swarm of ravens is nestled in the branches of an old, dead tree. They caw noisily.
Looking briefly at the various pathways Zied comments. "A crossroads, if this place is truly full of folk lore nightmares. Crossroads tend to be unhappy locations. Did the barkeep or Ismark tell any of you three which path was should take?"
(Zied was rather messed up when Ismark commented, and he left the bar for most of the conversation)

Alessa was walking last half an hour visibly daydreaming, periodically snapping out of it also with visible signs like shaking her head, but then succumbing back in whatever the dream was about. At the crossroads, she came to her senses again. "Yes, Tser Pool is our destination. The sisters did not lie, you can not miss the sign. Do you have a feeling as we've been watched?"She looked at ravens uneasily and also quietly answered to Seszu. "Never heard of blue-winged ravens but it does not make feeling lighter. Let's get out of here."

Pondering a bit, and takikng a look around specifically for something like a creature in the woods again. 18+1 Perc. "No, I haven't had that feeling. Although I assume those wolves are likely following and are the spiteful sort." Looking at the birds that Seszu points out "No, can't say I have. But I can't say I've ever seen giant bug monsters or a werewolf before either. Its best not to pry. Tser Pool it is. Lets keep moving."
"Blue wings, ha." Ed scoffs at Sezsu's suggestion, "You must be seeing things, or that bite mark has got to you. Though I agree with you all, Tser Pool was our plan when we let and a couple of light scuffles haven't given us cause to change that." Ed wanders over to the graves and looks to see what condition they are in, whether they look like the shoddily dug and poorly commemorated graves of those that swung from the gibbet, or whether someone just picked a poor spot for a family cemetary.
Ed covers a shiver with a chuckle and points towards the apparition, drawing the others' attention towards it, "It would appear the gallows are haunted, how unexpected!" A little on edge after two ambushes, though they are some distance away he centres himself and breathes for a moment searching for a sense of evil in the air, wary whether this is a benign appearance or something with more malicious intent lurks closer to the group.

As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover. You can use this feature 4 times per long rest.
Turning to look, in the direction Ed gestures having walked away from the party. "We can probably outrun a ghost." Zied offers the thought of just leaving.
"I see a corpse. But, I'm not exactly divine attuned like you." Zied gestures to the distasteful corpse deco art. Thinking we really should just leave if its a problem.
At Zied's words, Ed relaxes little and turns away from the gallows. "This place shows us time and again that it treats the passed as playthings, taunting the living. Well, I say it will have to throw more than that at these travellers. Come, let us be on our way. This place only further fouls the day."

Ed approaches the small cemetery. Eleven graves are here with blank gravestones.
Shivering in the mist, you decide not to tarry by the gallows and pick up the pace once more, following the road toward Tser Pool.
You have only traveled about 20 yards, however, when you hear a creaking noise behind you, coming from the gallows.
You turn.
You wish you hadn't.
Where there was nothing before now hangs a lifeless, gray body. The breeze turns the hanged figure slowly, so that it can fix its dead eyes upon you.
Ed covers a shiver with a chuckle and points towards the apparition, drawing the others' attention towards it, "It would appear the gallows are haunted, how unexpected!" Turning to look, in the direction Ed gestures having walked away from the party. "We can probably outrun a ghost." Zied offers the thought of just leaving.
