"OI!! You daft wankar! Can't ye see yer bloody outnumbered. If ye had any brains in tha' head of yers, you'd be droppin' tha' shite weapon of yers to tha' ground and beggin' fer kindness. So whats tha' play rat? Ye wanna stow it so's we 'kin talk, or you wanna have a go? Got no trouble shovin' me blade here in threw yer eyeball and out yer arse!" Zyllith verbally assaulted the goblin trying to intimidate it into submission. The others had put on quite a show so far, but they still didn't know what had happened in this village. Now that they had such a clear advantage it seemed like a good idea to try to pull some intel off the creature.
The goblin responds to Zyllith's threats, and quickly realizes the futility of fighting five adventurers, especially the one who so quickly murdered his friend, he drops his scimitar, throws his hand up in the air and begins whining in a flurry of high pitched guttural gibbers. Then, switching to a crude rendering of common, he shouts in his high, scratchy voice,
"Aye, Rioght then. Whot say ye start by speakin' to whot happened to this town? Where's all tha' people? Who's tossin' all tha' big rocks outside?" Zyllith asked the goblin, her tone much more calm now that the little green creature was cooperating. Though she kept her rapier pointed at him all the same, just in case he became less then cooperative.
Vernon, silently thanking the gods for their protection, approaches Beedo. "Why ring the bell if the people are gone?" He is not quite ready to trust the goblin.
Answering the gnome, the goblin says, “Beedo like bell noise... ring, bing, bing, bing..”
“Beedo game ringing with friend Vark. Fun game, but you kill vark. Game over.”
Vernon
It would seem that two simple minded goblins making noise for mere, novel entertainment is a plausible explanation for their actions. And Zyllith can confirm that they seemed to be quite amused by the whole bell ringing activity.
Beedo listens to the much calmer voice of Belkas and answers, matching the relaxed tone of the questions, "Some other goblins in village, Beedo not know how many and where is other goblins. Some places. Not knowing where people's in village go, maybe running in forest with elves. Beedo not see where people's go."
Osmord kneels beside the dead goblin and begins to take off its boots while the others talk. Slowly he removes a dagger and a small jar from his shell. He unscrews the lid to release a strong smell of vinegar. Once Beedo has finished speaking, the silence is broken by a wet snapping sound as Osmord begins to remove the dead goblins toes and starts dropping them one by one into the vinegar. He looks up at Beedo with intense interest.
"Toes...a delicacy. Is there more you could tell us? Anything we should know?" His grizzly work complete he fastens the jar and peers down at Beedo's feet. (Intimidation : 5)
Arisa tries to hide her disgust at the wizard's toe collecting, and focuses her attention on the goblin. "Beedo, you said there were giants throwing the rocks- what kind of giants were they? Are the giants and the goblins working together? Where are the giants now?, please tell us what you know and perhaps you can show us around the village?"

Beedo recoils in sheer horror at the sound and sight of Osmord performing post mortem amputations on his former bell ringing companion. He seems utterly repulsed, perhaps even terrified at the odd turtle-like humanoid. Clearly he's never seen one before and considers Osmord to be some kind of monster.
This aversion seems to make Beedo a bit more receptive to Arisa's line of questioning. Keeping his eyes on the cleric, he answers, "Beedo not know what kind of giants. Not in village when giants come, not know where giants go. Goblins and giants no work together. Beedo not know much, only giants come, people gone. Not know village much, come here only ringing bell with Vark. Just want to leave now. Let Beedo go and woulds leave village alone."
Arisa says “OK, I believe you. How did you get in to the village? Across the bridge? How did you know the village was abandoned? Is there a lot of goblins? “. Turning to her companions she asks “what should we do with this one, I do not believe he knows much more than he’s said. But I think we should go quickly to see if there are other survivors or goblins about.”
Beedo nods. "Cross bridge. Some goblins hear about giants coming and no peoples in village after giants leave. Tell other goblins and we come to village looking for foods... goblins hungry. Some other goblins looking for foods and eating."

While the others continue to question the goblin and decide their next course of action Osmord will light a torch and conduct a brief search of the temple. Specifically he is looking for books or scrolls that talk about matters of life, death and the arcane. (Investigation : 11)

Seeing that Osmord moved to the outer room, Belkas ducked back in with the others.
"As there are other goblins around, I agree with Arisa that we either find them first or, failing that, hole up in a more defendable area until morning. We can leave Beedo here tied up and gagged..." Turning to the goblin and smiling kindly, he added, "... for his own protection, of course. We wouldn't want the giant turtle to mistake our friend for an enemy goblin. I will keep watch outside."
Belkas headed back to the door they came in, grabbing a stool on the way. He opened the door a crack and peered out.
If he cannot see anyone out there, he will create an illusion of a bolder by the door, similar to the ones they saw coming in, and sit inside it, watching.
Before Osmord leave the "interrogation room," he notices two sacks that are lying at the feet Beedo and his dead companion. Assuming you check these, you find that Beedo’s sack contains three blocks of incense (worth 5 gp each), a silver holy symbol of Mielikki shaped like a unicorn’s head (you figure it's worth about 25 gp), and some stolen (and worthless) personal effects that clearly came from the other room. Vark’s sack holds three empty vials that used to contain holy water and an unlocked wooden “poor box” containing 37 cp and 15 sp.
If you pick up his sack, the Beedo would obviously react with a look of disappointment, although there's not much he can do about it.
Searching the acolytes bedroom and the rest of the temple, you find nothing but worthless personal effects, clothing and basic items used for prayer.
Belkas peeks out the door, but sees nothing out of the ordinary, and since the bell has stopped ringing, from this vantage point, the village seems completely silent.
"Bloody 'ells mate, reminds me nevar ta' go walkin' about barefoot when yer around." Zyllith's comment burst out in response to seeing Osmord pickling goblin toes, beyond that she listened to the the others interrogating the goblin calmly, glad that they managed to handle all of the important bits.
Once they seemed done with the conversation Zyllith offered her viewpoint, "I'm a'right with lettin tha' little buggar live, not much of a threat so's long as we tie 'im up good. More worried 'bout them giants whot he mentioned, but gotta deal with the other little shites first."
When everyone is ready to leave Zyllith will offer to tie up the goblin herself giving him a bit of a sympathetic peptalk, "Sorry 'bout this mate, but can't risk ye warning yer other friends. Plus it's tha safest bet if ye want ta' keep all yer toes. But I can give ye this as consolation." Zyllith reaches into her pouch and pulls out a small portion of her daily rations, offering to the goblin who mentioned his hunger, giving him a moment to eat the basic food before binding and gagging the creature with the use of whatever clothe and rope she can find within the temple.
Arisa says “perhaps we can head to the center of town and see what is going on. From my histories, I remember this town is named after a block of obsidian there, I am curious to see that as well- Zyllith you probably should lead the way so we can see who’s there before they hear and see us.”
Beedo seems a little nervous when you mention tying him up, but he seems to comprehend that if he acquiesces, he's much less likely to get butchered by the weird scary turtle monster. He also accepts the food with a little suspicious but mostly surprise and what little gratitude he's capable of showing.

Belkas walked back into the room and asked the goblin, "Hello, Beedo. How many other goblins are there in the village right now, and where are they?"
(If and when he finishes answering and assuming we will not have leave running, Belkas will continue:)
"Where did the people from this village flee to when the giants attacked? Why did the giants attack. "
After the answer Belkas, thanks Beedo and leaves the room again to keep watch.
Belkas uses minor illusion to whisper to Arisa, "Can you tell if he is telling the truth?"
