Candlekeep Mysteries Group 2

"Well, let's go then."  Isa proceeds, in her bouncy way, through the portal to see what's on the other side.

Stepping through the portal, you see a gorgeous sight. The Temple of the Restful Lily is built around a hot spring in a large open grove in a massive forest. The woodland trail accessed through the portal created by The Price of Beauty leads to the temple from the east after a journey of a quarter mile.

"Oh my gosh!  This is sooooo beautiful!  I feel like I could just stay here and rest for a while."  She continues to walk towards and enter the area of T1/T2.

"This is certainly so far more preferable than the previous books we've entered so far...." and Mav follows Isa. "I haven't had a good horn rub in eons...."

Emporious gather's with the rest at T1. "Seems pleasant enough." he comments to no one in particular.

Orvok sighs loudly, and turns to Lorris. ‘Let the Avowed know about this book, and don’t let anyone else follow us in. We’ll see if we can find what’s keeping Falthrax, and if I can keep my friends from getting into too much trouble…’

He then takes a deep breath, and steps through the portal…

As Barter follows along to T1, he looks over this weird new location, (perception 12 )and gives a Heh. Well, this'n isn't too terrible i suppose. At least as compared to the last place. Looks like this was the main room then? Lots of pews? As this is a Holy place of worship, i assume at least one of our party members are on the verge of combustion.

Barbär scans across the group locking eyes as he passes with Mavshoon, but continues to Hino.

Heheh. I feel a little less on edge here. So how about this door? (T4)

Hino huffs a Karen complaint “Why in the nine hells do they make you walk so far to get to this pleasure palace?  At least I come to the client’s location, not making them walk so far!”

"I'd guess you could come at any location...." and smiles

AREA T1

The double doors open to the sound of a bell. Beyond the doors is a large lobby, the air heavy with the scent of fresh lilies. A desk stands at the center of the room, holding neatly piled papers and fresh-cut lilies in a vase. A dark-haired man in fine clothes stands up from behind the desk as he sees you. 

“Welcome, friends, to the Restful Lily. Freshen yourselves in our luxurious bathhouse. Or perhaps you’d enjoy a massage? Haircut? A shave or pedicure? Oh! Road-tired feet simply cry out for comfort! Whatever your pleasure, I am here to serve.”

- Entry to the bathhouse costs 5 gp per person and includes the use of the enchanted baths, a comfortable robe, and a private changing room with a lockable trunk to store weapons and equipment.
- Lodging for visitors who want to stay overnight at the temple is available at a cost of 4 gp per person. Meals cost 5 sp, and the lounge offers a wide range of beverages.
- Characters can enjoy a haircut, a shave, or a waxing for 2 gp, 1 gp, or 10 gp, respectively.
- Massages can be booked for 20 gp and last for an hour.
- A manicure and pedicure costs 2 sp. The pedicure might incur an additional fee depending on the cleanliness of the customer’s feet.

we may indeed be interested, but first, is there a fellow here called Falthrax? Seems hes been missing for a bit. Im sorry im Barbär, and these are friends of mine. What is your name?

In his mind Mav weighs his coin purse as he looks upon the services offered here, often nodding to himself and smiling occasionally.

"I am Saeth! Welcome!" he says. "I have not heard or seen someone named Falthrax, however, if I do, I shall let you know?" he offers. "Would you like to partake in any of our services today?" he asks.

Isa's eyes are wide with excitement "Oh my god, yes!  I could use a bit of downtime after that crazy tune in my head and those friggin' meanlocks..." she digs into her coin pouch and pulls 6 gold coins out "and I'm gonna need a good waxing... have you seen these legs?" she spouts as she shows off one of her hairy legs.  She hands the coins Saeth "Where do I go?"

"Yikes!" Saede exclaims. "Right this way."

AREA T2

A corridor beyond the lobby runs between two rows of curtained cubicles, where guests can change out of traveling clothes and armor. Each cubicle contains a wooden stool, two white robes hanging on hooks, and a large wooden trunk with a lock. If any of you pay to enter the baths or want to enjoy any of the other facilities, you're asked to change and store your weapons and equipment here. One robe of each pair is sized for Medium characters, while the other fits Small characters. Saeth gives you a numbered key that corresponds to your cubicle and trunk.

AREA T7

These adjoining chambers, dimly lit with shrouded lamps, are each furnished with a bed whose frame can be tilted and folded into different positions. Shelves and counters hold an array of perfumes, oils, and lotions, and scented candles that fill the room with a pleasantly invigorating scent. Ilmar Mizzrym, a handsome drow, works here as the head aesthetician of the bathhouse. He wears a simple belted silk robe and flat shoes, and speaks in a soft, hushed voice. 

He introduces himself. "Hello, my friend. Welcome to the Treatment Rooms. I am Ilmar. I will be in your service today."

Isa follows along to the changing area "Oh, thank you Saeth" she says as she enters one of the changing rooms.  She quickly changes and stows her equipment in the corresponding trunk.  "Oh this is going to be nice" she mutters as she goes to T7.  Knowing nothing much about the evils of drow, she sees the young handsome drow and gets a bit weak in the knees as he introduces himself.  "It's nice to meet you Llmar, I do need a good waxing...."  she pulls a bit of her robe aside to show her amazingly hairy leg off "am I in the right place for that?" she asks.

Mav pays the gold and, changes in to a robe as well, he will however try to keep his cane sword with him....just in case as well as his bowler.

Emporious takes it all in, unsure of where to begin but certain at the same time that he doesn't want to be distracted from why they came. Refusing the services with a shake of his head he instead says, "I'd rather just have a look around if you don't mind. You said you take coin for services. Do you also track who provided services or when? Is it possible you would know who granted services last. Say in the last 24hrs."

Orvok watches Saeth/Saede carefully as they deny having encountered Falthrax... (Insight: 12)

As the others allow themselves to be seduced into 'services', he retains his natural caution, tempered by recent experiences into downright paranoia.

'Be careful, people.' he warns his friends 'Shout if you run into trouble.'

In the meantime, he won't go anywhere without his armour and weapons, as he joins Barbär in looking through the entrance to T4...
