Oh, what a horrible stench!
Barbär nearly wretches at the sight and smell of this thing, I wonder if it can burn too? As his hammer flares with a familiar searing heat (bonus) and only gets as close as he has to before giving it a swing!
Attack: 12 Damage: 10 + 4 fire damage and is ignited (if it can?) 13 con save on its turn if it hits.
If you could call it alive before, then id say its not any more. Well done everyone! Very quick to act, all of you. He coughs a bit from the smell and backs up. If everyone is fine with it, id like to get away from these blasted ichor puddles. Is any one still hurting? I can address some wounds, but not here again. He gives out a short panicked chuckle
"I'm fine. If you don't mind I'd like to look around a bit and make sure nothing was left behind." Says Emporious before casting detect magic and investigating the pool room.Seeing Isa's ring glow under his now enhanced vision he exclaims, "Well what have we here Miss Isa? Your new ring seems to be an item of power. Remind me later and I will tell you all it's secrets."
Aw, Isa. How adorable lol. Besides the moss and the pool, nothing seems to stick out. Now that the Meenlocks are dead, the moss is slowly withering away.
seems like the meenlocks ARE the corruption here, like a physical manifestation. Look at the moss withering... We may have more baddies yet to go. Mavshoon may have the right idea. And if there is corruption, id like to help wipe it from this plane. After all, it can only give us experience in the field to help our fellows homeland.
"I don't know that I'd want to go creeping about this whole cave system, who knows how big this place is, but I would be willing to look for an alternate path to where we came in. That should afford us some sense of whether or not any other surprises await those who would reopen these mines." Offers Emporious.
my dear, unfortunately yes. I am quite certain there are more indeed. What im unsure about is there being another entrance or exit in our case. There were many unused support beams left behind, so if there was another opening planned, they may have never gotten that far. If nothing else, we have gathered a good bit of information on those beasts and those like them. If we feel it to be safe enough when were done here, maybe we can supply the crown guard around candlekeep with the information they need to deftly handle them. We do well with our small numbers, and the guards are usually as thick as thieves.
No pun intended, Mav.
He gives a smile, truely not meaning anything negative.

Hino grins widely, and responds to Barbär "I'm not too sure, sugar. Maybe you could give me a thorough cavity search to see if I have any damage anywhere?" followed by a suggestive wink.
She'll then back out of area M8, turn around, and lead the group towards area M9. Peering into the area, she sees.... (Perception: 22)
New scents greet you here: the musty funk of decaying fabric and old furs, and the smell of rot lingering in the stagnant air. Thick pillars of moss-covered stone support the twenty-foot-high ceiling, and waist-high stone slabs dot the cavern. The stone slabs are coated with blood and filth—the result of people being laid out for days of torture. There are explosives tied to the pillars. The remnants of other victims lie on the south side of the room, decades of belongings shed by transformed meenlocks and left to rot. Heaped piles of bones, clothing, boots, rusted blades, and splintered bows and arrows rest within the recessed portions of the walls. Most of the items in the refuse piles are worthless after rotting in the damp and dark for years. A thorough search reveals 50 gp, an ivory drinking horn with platinum filigree (120 gp), and a set of goggles of night.
Like a little school girl, Hino excited stomps her feet when she uncovers the Goggles of Night, and quickly places them on her head.
Her excitement is quickly tempered when she notices the explosives tied to the pillars. Suddenly serious, she whispers to Mavshoon "Hey Mav....can you work your magic fingers on those explosives? Tickle them like you wanna tickle my..." and then she trails off.
"OH, the smell!!" Isa tries to cover it up by placing a bit of her sleeve over her face and cupping it with her hand "That's just gross...." She looks around a bit "this must have been some kind of torture or transformation place for these meenlocks..." she stares at one of the stone slabs covered in blood as thoughts of torture drum in her head making her feel a bit nauseous "Let's grab what we want/need and keep moving" she suggests.

Orvok looks around, sighing. ‘Great sadness, and darkness here. Might be best to close off this part of the mines permanently to prevent a repeat, greed being what it is…’ he sighs audibly at the last, looking around wistfully.

Mav will take the dodge action and leave this to those better equipped to handle this
Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
Somehow, you all manage to do enough damage to the ooze that upon Barbar's hit, it dissipates into a bubbling flat liquid mass and dies.
Isa simply stops and stares at it for a moment.... "is it dead?" she asks finally.

Besides the explosives and the withering moss, your minds are at ease and a quiet calm seems to fill the caves.
‘Wait here a second, I want to check something…’ says Orvok, and nips over to M6 to see if the alcove is more accessible now…
