The chained books explode out from the library, coming alive, like a monster revealing it's tentacles, but instead, the books are held by the chains, and they writhe violently out at you all! You knew this was coming, so you all attack, or flee like little *****es.

Barbär gives the thing a sneer at the end of its rope, and mutters a few words igniting the head of his hammer into a white hot intensity as he casts Searing Smite as a bonus (2nd) and does an upward swing at the body

Emporious extends both arms and spreads his fingers wide. From his right hand a bit of ash falls as he opens it. "Fulgur Percutiens" he declares and lightning extends from his hands arcing towards the creature. The bluish glow illuminates the wizards face deepening the shadows there causing the features to appear to sag. "Power! UNLIMITED POWER!" cackles Emporious as he is caught in the throws of spell casting.

Isa, still in her perch from above, cast a fire bolt down upon the menacing chained books.
