"Well that's that. Well done." Emporious states as he gives his hands a clap. "Looks like we can return to Candlekeep now. If you need me I'll be going over the items in Matreous' room. He may still hold the key to my problem." He turns on his heel and walks to the foyer as Archie silently glides in to land on his shoulder. Pausing for a moment he produces another quill and in large red letters writes the command word for the return portal on the floor. He says "Liberty" and steps through the portal. Immediately he begins to go through the dead mages room looking for answers.

Orvok pokes the imp with the pointy bit of his axe, to make sure it’s dead. ‘Damn thing. They’re evil enough at the best of times, must have been driven mad by whatever that wizard did to it.’ he sighs ‘Must get me some boots of speed, all the fun seems to happen while I’m asleep catching up...’
He looks around again, at the mess, and waste, his eyes saddened.
’I guess we should finish checking out the books here for help on curses, now that we’re less pressed for time?’
Barbär casts spare the dying on the homonculi to try and save them, knowing he is too late. Damn it... They were so nice... They deserved a better death than this
As you step through the portal, anything that is on your person that you took from the mansion poufs in a small cloud of gray smoke. In Matreous's study, the only knowledge of note, as mentioned in the very beginning, is mainly Fistandia's notes on how to open the portal, and about her magical mansion. There is no mentions of curse curing in any of the tomes. If there was a way to cure the curse, it died along with Matreous.
Orvok takes the time to collect Matreous’s body, bringing it through the portal solemnly. ‘Leave no-one behind...’ he says ‘Even if they were a foolish wizard, venturing into the unknown, and then being too frightened to embrace it...’
"Well, so much for bringing any of those books back to use as re-entry for Candlekeep" Isa mutters as she notices the poof of smoke from the few items they brought back with them. Feeling a bit like they had failed, she looks at Emporious "I am so sorry we didn't find any clues as to how to undo the curse.... do you think the Avowed might know of another Mage that could help?"

A dejected Emporious sits on the bed as the rest of the party comes through.
Emporious raises his head, a determined look replacing the forlorn expression previously residing there in response to Isa's comment.
"You're right Isa. There is another wizard here that can break this curse. I will just have to find the answer myself. There is still much of this library I have not explored. The answer may still lie within these halls. I may well still be able to secure my legacy"
He gives his hands a decisive clap and rises to his feet.
Thats very positive. Keep your chin up. I'll do what i can to help you, Emporious. You did well in there, you all did. All we can do now is press onward. Barbär says as they step through helping Orvok with the body
‘Clangeddin can help with the curse. I feel his presence strongly right now. We just need to determine where it originates...’
Orvok says, still holding the body.
’In the meantime we need to inform the Avowed about what has happened...’ he says, leaving the room with Matreous in his arms ‘There may be one of Ogham’s priests who can bring him back. He is too far beyond the threshold to hear my call...’
‘In the meantime we need to inform the Avowed about what has happened...’
”Oh, yes” replies Isa “Come Emporious, let’s go find one of the Avowed and bring them back here to show them what’s happened”. Isa starts heading towards the door. “We’ll be right back she says as she goes through the door.”
once out of the room she goes back to the front desk area and asks if one of the Avowed are available to speak with.
"Thank you all for your assistance. I'm afraid I won't be of much help to you Orvok so yes Isa lets go find an Avowed. We can report what happened. I have a few things to discuss with them as well. Shall we meet at the temple then?" Emporious will nod his head and give a sweep of his arm indicating Isa should take the lead before following the sorceress out of the room.
Attempting to lighten the dour mood, Hino throws in a half serious-half joking comment. “I think you all agree...my temple is my body. So, I agree....let’s all meet somewhere quaint and explore my temple!” Wink wink.
Thats probably a good thing you have your own temple, as most would catch flame when you enter. Barbär teases gently to keep everyone talking and occupied with the task at hand and not get sucked into their own thoughts. And besides, I can find Moradin behind any forge and flame. Emporious, Isa, the curse... It isnt centered on one person is it? I could maybe take a crack at it if its upon either of you, but if its the land itself... May be a bit more problematic. Any other names of folks you know here?
"I was seeking Matreous in part to learn the possible origin of the curse. Then to seek his assistance in dispelling it. It is aopreciated that Clageddin would lend assistance in this so I thank you for that. I feel I will find an answer here, I just have to keep my eyes open. Besides, not to make light of the urgency of the matter, but there is no danger of immediate death. We still have time before the area becomes uninhabitable."

“Talk about blocking...” Hino deadpans towards the camera.
For giggles, she’ll grab one of the pots from the strove, and throw it across the room.
”There. Much better."

Isa, still in a bit of shock that she single-handedly killed a demon (in her mind) blinks a few times and follows the others through the portal.
