"Allow me to explain what I know." he says. "The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces, the book that was on my desk, was donated to Candlekeep by a powerful wizard named Fistandia. This book is a treatise on extradimensional spaces similar to those created by the Mordenkainen’s magnificent mansion spell. In arcane shorthand, Fistandia detailed how she created a permanent Mordenkainen’s magnificent mansion spell and recorded the command word to open the mansion’s doorway. I was intrigued by this, and, as I am a master of curse removals, I simply wanted to expand my knowledge. I came across the book, discovered it's activation word, and well..here i am! I believe a code word is hidden somewhere here to allow us to leave - I have just begun to explore this place. Would you join me?"

‘Of course we’ll explore. I assume, as you’ve been here for two days, you’re already familiar with the whole mansion. What can you tell us about your discoveries so far?’

After the introductions are made Emporious listens to the others speak as he ambles about a bit examining the surroundings.  

That sounds great, and yet our only option. At least its a good one. Have you any weapons? Or are you battle ready? If its cursed, plenty of things would go wrong, otherwise it'd be blessed. Barbär swirls his hand and his spectral anvil takes form, though clear except at the edges and hard lines that glow orange

"Not in the slightest!" he admits.

"That sounds great, and yet our only option. At least its a good one. Have you any weapons? Or are you battle ready? If its cursed, plenty of things would go wrong, otherwise it'd be blessed."

"Nope. Yes. I don't think it's cursed. Shall we pick a room and proceed?" 

"Well, I'm all for finding a way out of this magical cell 'Magical Mystery Mansion'!"  Looking around uneasily "I have an uneasy feeling about this place.... I... I don't like feeling like I'm trapped."

Agreeing with Orvok and turning towards Matreous "Yes, so what have you discovered here in the past two days?"

Hearing Barbär's comments about being battle ready, Isa tightens her grip on her staff and looks uneasily from one side to the other.

Turning towards Matreous "So, what have you discovered here in the past two days?"

"Not much at all, in fact, other than we're in Fistandia's mansion somewhere in a magical ether."

Orvok rolls his eyes ‘Wizards!’ he exclaims ‘We’d best start our investigations then...’

Standing in the Foyer area, Isa looks nervously down the hall to the right and then to the left seeing what doors or openings are in either direction.

She gives a short nervous chuckle at Orvok's comment about wizards.

Isa timidly follows Orvok to see what's behind door #1 the door.

Fistandia’s mansion is eerily quiet. Rooms with windows to the outside are lit by the indigo miasma swirling outside the mansion, which colors everything in the room with its tint. In the larger rooms it tones down the warm light of the oil lamps.

M5 - STUDY

The door to AREA M5 is ajar. The entire far wall of this room is a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf. Even more books are resting on several large scarlet armchairs and small wooden tables, and there are several paintings on the walls. A fluffy black cat is curled up on one of the chairs.

Looking overtop of Orvok's shoulder as he pushes the door open Isa exclaims "Hey Emporious, there are a whole bunch of books in here - I think you would like it!"

Looking down to Orvok "Shall we go in and investigate?  I don't think the cat is dangerous (OOC: he doesn't look like a Flerken)."

The cat meows at you all if you get near the door.

Mavshoon walks in to the room and sits in a chair near the cat. 

"Rather nice accommodations to be stuck in so far." And he'll pick up a book and begin reading. 

A bit startled by Mav's brashness in entering the room so quickly, Isa watches and wonders 'is he going to eat the cat?  I don't know how I feel about this guy.' and again she envisions that big sharp toothy grin he gave earlier.  "Well, I guess we throw caution to the wind." she says and enters to go investigate the bookshelf with all those amazing writings.

Hino has been silently observing this entire time, unsure of the honesty of Matreous.  She's used to dealing with absentminded & bookish brainiacs with zero common sense (as clients, naturally), so she wonders if Matreous is just another one of 'those', or if he's playing an innocent act to lure the team in.
