You head south towards the shrine. The journey takes a couple of hours, pleasant in the sunshine and punctuated by the cow bell's melodic ringing. It seems such a short interlude before you reach your destination.
A ruin stands in the middle of a vast field north of the rocky foothills of the Sword Mountains. An old stone temple with a belfry jutting from its peaked roof is enclosed by stone walls, many sections of which have collapsed. The trail ends at a crumbling gatehouse, the doors to which were sundered long ago. Three of the four towers that once stood at the corners of the outer walls have collapsed. Only the northeast tower remains, and a guard stands atop it.
You are about 150ft from the shrine and on the edge of a wooded area, so you are currently in cover.
"how close do you think we can get without being seen?"
Lei-Tana looks at the others and wonders if she could use a minor illusion to cause a distraction to get closer to investigate. The sound of a dragons roar perhaps?
(I'm going to need a Stealth Check for every turn of movement please - with Cackie's speed of 40 that's four checks. Then an Athletics check to climb the tower to reach the sentry)
Cackie, Stonelynn and Lhia all creep from the treeline and try to make their way stealthily towards the tower with the sentry in.
After about 30ft, Lhia steps into a rabbit hole and stumbles, giving a short yell of surprise. The sentry suddenly snaps to attention and looks over in the cleric’s direction before shouting something down to an unseen figure (or figures) inside the temple’s walls. It sounds like orcish.
(Please roll for initiative and declare actions. Cackie, Lhia and Stonelynn are 120ft from the temple and in the open, a few feet apart from each other. Everyone else is in the treeline, 150ft from the temple)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
15 initiative
lhia Sabeuf shouts “shablam”
and casts guiding bolt on the closest sentry (120ft range)
A flash of light streaks toward a creature of your choice within range. 18 Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 9 radiant damage, and the next attack roll made against this target before the end of your next turn has advantage, thanks to the mystical dim light glittering on the target until then.
Stonelynn moves another 70ft forward and is now 50ft from the keep, prone and trying to take cover.
A streak of radiant energy bursts forward from Lhia’s hand, arcing across the distance between him and the sentry before exploding in celestial light. The sentry, who can now clearly be seen is an orc, howls in pain and glows in a dim light which will make the next attack against him much easier.
(Lei-Tana is next, I have turns already for Elfa and ThunderFist)
Elfa was intrigued with the history and thought it wouldn't hurt to go south before heading East.
"What does everyone think? Shall we go check that shrine out!" Elfa said excitedly!
Elfa felt foolish not discussing watch whilst everyone was sleeping.
"Cackie, you all good pal?"
"Get to the Shrine!" Thunderfist shouted with a sense of urgency and began running towards the shrine, with his new bovine buddy in hot pursuit.

Lhia SaBeouf admires Lhia SaBeouf’s abs.
Lhia's abs are doing well, if you catch them in the right light. The sentry can't see them yet though, so is in no position to comment.

Cackie attempts to sneak up on the guard, tie its shoelaces together and then tickle it in the gooch.

Stonelynn uses Dash to close the distance between her and the guard, drops behind a low rock and pulls out her shortbow.
(Awaiting initiative and actions from Cackie, Lei-Tana, Elfa and ThunderFist)
12 initiative
Elfa creeps slowly towards the guard

Thunderfist saw the battle up ahead and wondered how he'd lagged behind so far.
He turned to his cow friend and said "we better get mooo-ving" and they both ran towards the others to help ( no attack as I'm assuming out of range)
Rolling initiative for Lei-Tana 20
And for Cackie 15
