As you prepare to move into the shrine, a bloodcurdling roar rises up and a group of three orcs starts to run through the collapsed wall of the gatehouse to attack ThunderFist. It looks like there are three more heading around the portcullis towards the hole.
At the same time, four orcs pour through the hole near Elfa and Cackie, falling on them with screams and axes.
Stonelynn hears a noise behind her and sees four more orcs emerge around the eastern corner of the shrine, running towards her at full speed.
(ThunderFist can still attack as I skipped his go to keep us moving)
First orc attack on ThunderFist Attack: 8 Damage: 4
Second orc attack on ThunderFist Attack: 21 Damage: 15
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thunderfist swings his axe angrily at the orcs who had attacked him. (One axe swing per orc, if this isn't allowed them both axe swings on the one that thunderfist thinks looks like Sammy Hagar.
Elfa looks around her and see's everyone surrounded by Orc's.
Elfa jumps up and thinks of a great idea.
She casts her suggestion spell at all the Orcs.
"Orc Leader. Convince the rest of the orcs to pair up and have a thumbwar with each other. Advise them to do best of 85 and that the winner will be a step closer to eternal orc glory"
Everybody, whilst the Orcs are competing get on with attacking.
Stonelynn rushes to the side of Thunderfist to flank the incoming Orcs. She casts Blooming Blade onto her shortsword and attacks the Orc in front of her. It's enveloped in booming energy which looks painful...
Attack: 20Damage: 5 (+ 6 from thunder if Orcy moves)
ThunderFist swings his axe as the orcs reach him, but misses both as they dodge on the run.
Stonelynn enters the gatehouse and maneuvers around one of the orcs so that it stands between her and Thunderfist. The elf’s sword, sheathed in thunder energy, slices the orc across his back and creates a cocoon of vibrating sound (orc will take the thunder damage if he moves. Stonelynn had Advantage for flanking so I rolled another d20 in case it was a critical, but it wasn’t)
(Lhia hasn’t posted yet – moving on and will process him out of turn when he posts)
Lei-Tana sends a salvo of magic missiles towards the pack of three orcs near Cackie – one is struck by a single dart in the arm, one in their chest and the other in their thigh (rolled a 5, 4 and 3 for damage)
(Elfa’sturn, holding here as I think she wanted to amend her post in light of information about the Suggestion spell. Also gives time for Lhia to make a catch-up post. Cackie and ThunderFist are also welcome to post their turns before the orcs go)
“So many Orcs!!! “ shouts Shia as he wakes from a flashback he commands his massive wheeled weapon to attack the orc south of it. And runs toward Cackie casting enhance ability him.
You touch a creature and bestow upon it a magical enhancement. Choose one of the following effects; the target gains that effect until the spell ends.
Bear's Endurance. The target has advantage on Constitution checks. It also gains 2d6 temporary hit points, which are lost when the spell ends.9
Elfa casts her Suggestion spell at the orc she assumes to be the leader – Wisdom save 2
The big orc turns to his colleagues and shouts "Wait! We should do a thumb war contest" He moves to start the first battle of a thrilling 85-round thriller, but his mates just stare at him before bursting out laughing. He looks sad, then angry, then a bit stabby.
Cackie attacks the orc between Elfa and himself, striking out with blade and fist. The orc is wounded by both attacks but still standing.
ThunderFist swings out at the orcs either side of him, missing one but taking down the orc standing between him and Stonelynn.
Stonelynn reacts to the Orc's attack and, with a wince of pain, she casts Shield on herself. Summoning Booming Blade on her shortsword again she swings wildly at the nearest Orc.
Attack: 23Damage: 8 (+ a measly 1 from thunder if Orcy moves)
She stands in a solid posture and is ready to take steady aim on her next go.
Shield: An invisible barrier of magical force appears and protects you. Until the start of your next turn, you have a +5 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack, and you take no damage from magic missile.

Lei-Tana gets as close as she can to the orcs to the left and casts thunderwave... hoping she'll be close enough for this to have some effect to only the orcs!
Stonelynn’s Shield spell springs into being just as the orc’s axe seems about to sink into her shoulder; the blow is deflected and no damage is taken. She uses the momentum from the casting to swing her shortsword at her attacker and sinks the point a few inches into his belly.
Lhia turns and runs away from the battle, putting some good yardage between him and all the stabbing. He does draw an opportunity attack though.
Attack of opportunity on Lhia Attack: 18 Damage: 7
Lei-Tana moves up to the melee involving Cackie, Elfa and about a million orcs, muttering an arcane sequence and rotating her hands around each other as she approaches. Standing behind Cackie, Lei-Tana propels her hands forwards and unleashes an unrelenting wall of Thunder power in a 15ft cube. It strikes all four orcs and should take Cackie too, but Lei-Tana is schooled in the arts of evocation magic and skillfully sculpts the spell around her monk team mate.
(All 4 orcs must pass a DC13 CON saving throw or take 3d6 thunder damage – half if they pass)
Orc 19
Orc 26
Orc 316
Orc 46
Two of the orcs are ripped apart, one thrown into the opening of the wall and the other hurled against the cold stonework. The two surviving orcs are wounded, lacerations appearing in their faces and exposed arms from the force of the spell.
Lhia realises he’s working out in the middle of the battlefields so he heads to a more secured spot to bust out some crunches.
he heads to the ominous back rectangle
Lei-Tana goes to the first entrance for a better look around the corner to see if there are anymore threats...
