Cackie retreats and moves 30ft ending just north of Orc 1 who he now focuses his attacks on.
He opens his hands and with all his might Cackie claps the Orc's ears
Attack: 8 Damage: 7
With flexibility that frankly shouldn't be possible for a man with such a gut, Cackie raises his right leg above Orc 1's head and pulls his foot down, producing a crushing axe kick to the frontal bone.
Thunderfist enters into a rage (please count for last turn), most likely from being hungry.
Following up on his javelin throw, he pulled out his battleaxe and sprinted towards the wall that orc 1 was hiding behind, vaulted it and swung his axe as he jumped down towards the orc's skull.

Orc 3 leaves the safety of the well and moves up to the south side of the large wall’s entrance way. From his new position in cover, he throws a javelin at Thunderfist: Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Orc 2 draws his greataxe and, battered by the unarmed avalanche that is Cackie Jan, fights back ferociously: Attack: 22 Damage: 9
Thunderfistcharges through the entrance way to make contact with Orc 1, and is now stood between him and Orc 3. As Orc 1 cowers at the sudden emergence of the hulking wall of flesh, the barbarian’s axe comes down two-handed, fueled by pure rage, inflicting 9pts of slashing damage. The orc staggers away, turns to face his attacker and mutters “You really got me!”
Back on the steps of the temple, Lei-Tana utters an arcane chant so mesmerising that she could be singing – but her face takes on a battle-hardened look and she hurls a deadly ball of flame at Orc 3, causing 8pts of fire damage and setting him alight.
Over amongst the ruins, Cackiebrings his limbs to an axe fight and is found wanting. First he claps in the orc’s face, then makes a very questionable attempt at a goose-step. The orc is untouched, but not unaffected, as the confusion etching his face makes apparent.
Elfaleans around the high wall and directs her Eldritch Blast directly into Orc 1’s face. With half his face seared away, the orc slumps to his knees and murmers“Somebody get me a doctor” before keeling over, dead.
The orcs have managed to miss with all their attacks, and one of them is down. This might go your way...

Cackie was just getting warmed up. He cracks his knuckles and then sprints around the ruins in an attempt to confuse Orc 2 further. He trips up over a pile of rubble, but the momentum hurls him head-first towards the Orc's groin. From a distance it could look like a diving headbutt.
Attack: 19 Damage: 7
Cackie picks himself back up, clearly a bit out of breath. He points to the north and shouts "Oh my god! It's Father Orcmas!" hoping to trick the orc in to looking the wrong way. Cackie can't speak Orcish, but he can put on a decent accent. He then attempts to flick the orc right on the nose, really really hard.
Attack: 16 Damage: 5
Very aware of the stinging flesh wound left by the Orc's greataxe, Cackie decides that he doesn't want to stick around for another swing and runs back to the relative safety of the temple entrance.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Orc 3, infuriated by the gruesome killing of his friend, screams in anger and brings his greataxe crashing down on Thunderfist’s back: Attack: 15 Damage: 11
Orc 2 tries to fight off the eccentric but undoubtedly dangerous monk with a swing of his massive axe: Attack: 15 Damage: 5
(Damage to Thunderfist is halved to 2pts due to his Rage; Cackie is missed by Orc 2)
Thunderfist’s attack swings just wide of the target, the badly-wounded orc managing to stagger away more from luck than skill.
Lei-Tana's fire bolt flies true, just over Cakie’s shoulder, and catches Orc 2 on the side of his head. Ear melting, tufts of black hair aflame, he curses as he tries to handle all the incoming attacks.
While the orc is occupied with trying to bat out the fire on his head, Cackietakes advantage and delivers a perfectly-executed flying headbutt. It catches the orc off guard and he falls badly, breaking his neck. Cackie leans in to the dead body, delivers his festive message and flicks the corpse on the nose.
Elfapumps up the room with her synergising teamwork chant and unleashes eldritch destruction on the last remaining orc. He looks motivated to achieve goal-oriented success right before the blast sears away most of his torso.
(Well done everyone, combat won! You find 8 gold pieces among the corpses, enough for 2 each, so please add these to your character sheet. You also find three unsellable greataxes and six unsellable javelins, to divide up as you see fit)
With the field cleared of enemies, there is nothing left to do but pack your gear ready to return to Phandalin. Dazlynand Norbusrepeat their thanks and head into the temple to complete their final cataloguing ready to come back in more peaceful times.
You make the short journey back to Phandalin and arrive just as afternoon is turning to evening.
Nestled in the rocky foothills of the snow-capped Sword Mountains is the mining town of Phandalin, which consists of forty or fifty simple log buildings. Crumbling stone ruins surround the newer houses and shops, showing how this must have been a much larger town in centuries past.
Phandalin’s residents are quiet, hard-working folk who came from distant cities to eke out a life amid the harsh wilderness. They are farmers, stonecutters, blacksmiths, traders, prospectors, and children. The town has no walls and no garrison, but most of the adults keep weapons within easy reach in case the need for arms should arise.
Visitors are welcome here, particularly if they have coin to spend or news to share. The Stonehill Inn at the center of town offers modest lodging and meals. A couple of doors down from the inn, posted outside the townmaster’s hall, is a job board for adventurers.
(We are now in town. Please post your destination and intended actions; I will then respond with the outcomes and the reactions of the relevant townfolk. If you have any questions about this phase of the game then please ask outside of this forum)
Lei-Tana decides to first tie up loose ends, "I'm going to collect my share of the reward from the mayor"she announces to the group, and she proceeds to Harbin Westers home.
Phandalin! what a pretty little town Elfa thought to herself.
"Orcs are pretty easy battles aren't they but what a battle everyone. Well done!"
"OOOOOO wait for me Lei-Tana, i'll come with you to the mayors house. I thought this was just a helping and wasn't aware there was an reward"
Elfa checks her backpack to see if everything is where she left it and found one of Diplomats treats, Elfa looked down to the ground with a sad expression and sighed, but Elfa had a feeling this was just the start of her journey so put her sadness aside and skipped over to Lei-Tana chatting away.
Now 6 javelins heavier than he started off, Thunderfist followed Elfa and Lei-tana and collect his reward, not wanting to be in a situation where he'd be left alone with Cackie may have influenced this decision.
Once the reward was collected, Thunderfist had his heart (and stomach) set on finding some lunch. 6 chickens and a flagon of ale would suffice.
Cackie had long forgotten about being sent on a quest. Not interested in visiting the home of someone he thinks he has never met before, he decides to check of the Shrine of Luck on his own, curious to see who or what he will find there, before heading to the inn for the night.
You approach Harbin Wester’s house as the sun has almost fully set. You remember that when he first called you for assistance, he refused to leave his home for fear of the dragon that has entered the area. Now, a day later, his world view does not seem to have changed as you knock on his door.
“If you’re a dragon, know that I’m far too thin and bony to make a good meal!”
Once you announce yourselves and confirm the job complete, he seems eased slightly, yet the door remains tightly locked.
“OK, thank you good adventurers. As agreed, fifty gold pieces”
To a mixture of surprise and annoyance, you see a single gold coin appear from under the door with a scrape. then another, and a third... it takes an age until your full payment appears (everyone add 12gp and 5sp to your character sheet please).
"If you return in the morning I'll have another quest that needs attention, if you please". With a muffled scamper, he appears to be gone from the doorway and you hear nothing else from Wester.
Phandalin’s only temple is a shrine made of stones taken from the nearby ruins. It is dedicated to Tymora (goddess of luck and good fortune) and is normally in the care of a zealous elf acolyte named Sister Garaele. However, she is out of town at this time. The shrine is peaceful, beautifully tended and entirely devoid of ceremonial booze.
Not convinced there is much more here for him at the moment, Cackie heads to the inn, orders a gallon of ale and takes a seat next to the fire. He admires the bear pelt spread across the floor, something sparkly caught his eye. On closer inspection it appeared to be half of a name tag "DIPL...". He wonders what this might stand for.
Cackie gets to know the landlord, he asks for a life story, with a clear motive to befriend anyone in charge of alcohol. He also asks for any gossip or rumours.
"Do you know where I might find Sister Garaele?"

Cackie stands up and unleashes a ferocious jab with his pinky finger, aiming directly for the belly button of Orc 2.
Attack: 23 Damage: 4
As fast as lightning he attempts the same attack with the other pinky finger
Attack: 22 Damage: 4

Lei-Tana fires yet another firebolt at the orcs, on the advice of the dwarves!
Firebolt: Attack: 14 Damage: 8

Attack 17 Damage 7
"Gregolas! thank you so much, right Orc 1 I am not happy and that is very unusual for me" Elfa said.
Elfa stands and strikes her Eldritch blast right into Orc 1.
Attack: 16 Damage: 12
"Great work everyone! we will get these Orcs in no time"
Elfa did always feel bad after fighting Orcs after-all they did used to be elves.
Orc 3 leaves the safety of the well and moves up to the south side of the large wall’s entrance way. From his new position in cover, he throws a javelin at Thunderfist: Attack: 22 Damage: 6

Lei-Tana fires yet another firebolt, this time at Orc 2!
Firebolt: Attack: 16 Damage: 2
In the hopes it may finish him off!
Elfa does a roly poly and ends up behind the wall opposite her, Elfa goes for Orc 3 as it looks like Lei-Tana is sorting out Orc 2.
Attack: 16 Damage: 4 Eldritch Blast to Orc 3's face.
"what a wonderful day to kill some Orcs, you're doing great everybody"
Elfa looked over at Lei-Tana and appreciated having another strong, powerful female in the room!
Thunderfist felt a prod in his back and turned around to see orc 3 burying an axe into his back.
"Axe to meet you!" he shouted, thinking to himself that his hunger was really affecting his ability to come up with puns.
He swung his axe high above his head yet again and brought it down onto the top of orc's skull, hoping there would be an eruption of blood.
Attack : 18 Damage : 7
