Hmm well if allowed I was thinking of playing a human warlock and figure I would the invocation that gives dark vision. My basic outline of this is that he was made to go into the Underdark by his patron. I want to use Hexblade but was thinking of going like Fjord from Crit Role and the pact is with a demon that is sealed in the weapon they use. The idea for my character is that he is looking to actually free the demon in the Blade and slay it. The reason for it being in the sword in the first place could have something to do with the fact a family member in the past sealed it away and being young and foolish my character made a deal for power as a teenager and has now been trying to get out of it since he realized what he has done.
Oh and as for why he would be in Bligdenstone He used his family's wealth to hire other adventurers to go into the Underdark with him. But due to how dangerous it was once they got to blend in stone or around the area they decided to return to the surface or back to where they had come from.
Kap has a terrible secret to his success as a soldier- years ago, in a moment of weakness and stupidity- he allowed himself to be cursed with lycanthropy- For the “good” Purpose of being more effective as a soldier.- he struggles to keep it in control. In a similar desire to be more effective, he has more recently discovered some magical secrets of sorcery. He is eager to embrace these skills but is embarrassed to reveal them to his fellow gnomes.
I’m willing to play any class the party “needs”, as a deep gnome- have a vengeance paladin ready to go as well:
Background: Soldier: (details campaign dependent)
“Kap”. -Bredkap is a retired soldier and hero of the city, having fought against the drow and other threats for years. Renowned for heroic self- sacrifices with miraculous escapes, He’s a charismatic guy who likes to tell war stories- friendly to good gnomes and other good folk,, but is brutally tough to his enemies on the battlefield.
Sure, I think I can do this. I’m good to post every day (multiple times when appropriate, less when it’s someone else’s time to shine).
Orubis Dunben - Deep Gnome - Nature Cleric - Folk Hero
Dunben is an avid explorer, wanderer, forager, and weaver. The weaving is mostly just to occupy his hands, but he’s pretty good at it! Now Dunben has been hearing from his god, The Mushroom Prince, for many years, and blessed him with powers beyond the average gnome, but Dunben doesn’t let that get to his head... except that one time he was bit by a wererat. That was a tiny, understandable mistake that he’s dealing with now. It’s under control. Mostly. Well, his family then got bit, and disappeared. It’s not important. What is important is that there are rumors of strangers near town, and Dunben isn’t sure if he should be worried or excited, but he’s going looking for them. Before they get scooped up by some haughty Drow patrol looking to capture runaway slaves, the bastards.
Oh and I forgot to ask if multiclassing is allowed? I know the paladin/warlock is overdone but I think it could fit that maybe the reason the character's family had the sword is they were paladins whose task it was to guard the sword so the fiend sealed inside couldn't get out.
Alright well then I am going to go for now four warlock and 1 paladin so I can get the asi and some of the invocations. Well that is if my character were to be a good fit for the campaign.
We are still deciding. I have a bit of time before the party finishes their current task and returns to the safety of Blingdenstone, where they will meet their new party member. I will reach out to whoever I choose soon.
I'm gonna say I'm interested In playing a Tiefling bard who fled the authorities in his home city after a near arrest for a crime he was innocent of. He got some bad advice regarding a shortcut out of the city through the underdark and got completely lost. He eventually found his way to Blingdenstone and has been making an okay living as an entertainer. He does wish to return to the surface so would likely join the group gladly.

There are no restrictions against multi-classing.

Just reiterating my interest in this group if you still are deciding. :)
