The Underdark is a dark network of caves and tunnels deep under Faerun. Living here are all manner of unpleasant creatures and people, such as the Duergar, the Drow, and all manner of unnatural monstrosities. There are rumors that it houses powerful and ancient magic in the very stone of the tunnels.
For one reason or another, you have all ended up in this lightless world. And there are things stirring in the Underdark, things that should have never been disturbed...
I lost several players recently, so I'm looking for 2-4 players to join the party.

(Curious, should it be one of the underdark native races? If not, I have this one):
Kassel, Yuan-Ti Pureblood Druid (Circle of Land, Desert)
Background: Hermit (Desert wanderer, sucked down through a sinkhole into the underdark)
Kassel was one of the heirs to a wealthy Yuan-Ti merchant, but was accused of bribery and extortion by a rival in his family and was forced to flee. He wandered the deserts for a while, meeting and befriending another druid along the way, who taught him how to survive. He enjoyed the solitude. One day, Kassel lost his footing and tumbled into a sinkhole, dropping him down into the underdark.

Ability scores: 141512121413 Name: Venrila Abagon Race: half drow Class: Paladin Background: Knight of the order Links with other Characters: (Pending further submissions) Backstory:
Born into the noble house Abagon of Dambrath Venrila had an easy youth with two siblings; a brother and a sister. Her pale skin showed the lineage that could be traced to the half-elf priestesses of Loviatar. This, of course, opened a lot of doors and she was readily accepted in all the important places of the city. She had the best schooling, and like the rest of her family she worshipped the chaotic good drow goddess Eilistraee.
Even though the Abagon, and the other noble drow-elf houses, have great power in the city of Dambrath; they feel the weakness the process when going into the underdark to their ancestors. So from a young age Venrila has learned the discriminating way these drow treat her family. Not wishing such discrimination to any one else she focused her energy more and more on learning the ways of Eilistraee. Eventually coming to the conclusion there was only one way to really make a difference, which was by taking the fight to those that made a world where everyone lives in harmony impossible. As a woman in Dambrath she was easily accepted in some of the training houses for worshipping fighter; giving her possibilities she probably would not have had in other parts of faerun.
During her years of training she knew she would eventually take an oath of vengeance to to uphold the the teachings of the dark maiden, Eilistraee; to never stop hunting the Spider Queen's handmaidens, the hideous yochlols, and all fiends; who caused the drow downfall in ancient times.; to hunt those who are not willing to live in harmony. However to take this oath she was required to have more experience first and that is why she can often be found in the underdark to hunt followers of the Spiders queen. At one points she went to deep and was surrounded by multiple drow priestesses and Yochlo, but luckily she escaped certain death due to an intervention by Eilistraee.

Name: Celianna Cershwright
Race: Half-elf
Class: Cleric (Light Domain)
Background:
Celianna never thought anything special of her life. She had a comfortable childhood, stable home, and never had any problem making friends. It was about as ordinary as it could be when one of your parents is a leading priest at the local temple, and the other has no sense of religion in them what so ever. Celianna however did find a sense of religion, helping her mother at the temple whenever she could. When she was old enough, she became an acolyte, and eventually a cleric.
In her local temple it's customary as part of her journey to embark on a pilgrimage of sorts, traveling across the land, helping those in need, and spreading the light. It was during this journey, while accompanying another party of adventurers, that they were captured by demons and taken deep, deep, down below. They, along with a host of other captives, were tortured on and off for weeks, many of them not making it. Eventually, by sticking together and not giving up hope, those that remained (at that point just 3 of them) found a way to escape the demons and made their way into the twisting and crawling caverns of the Underdark.
(I figure this is a good place. In her initial story I have her making it out and continuing her adventures, but since this is an Underdark adventure, we can leave her in the Underdark. It could also be that she made it out, but one of their remainder party was lost, and so she's gone back in to try and search for them. I'm good either way.)
Links with Other Applicant's characters: (To be determined)
So, the other two party members she escaped with one was a paladin of the raven queen (who is the one who may have become lost), and one was a cambion of a rival demon prince than the one that captured them. I hadn't specified a specific demon prince that had captured them, but I had imagined that the cambion that helped them escape had been loyal to Graz'zt.
Also, Celianna has decided this demonic cambion(merelic) that helped them escape is her friend (and she might even have a crush) and is probably far too friendly with him than she should be with a demonic creature. But he has shown no ill will toward her, even going out of his way to help her when need be, and not abandoning them or turning on them when that might have been easier or smarter.
Also life events! I rolled 4 numbers since it was 1d4, but I didn't want to mess up the dice rolls, so since there were only two events, it would be the first two which is you made friends with an adventurer! Which actually works out perfectly with the background that could be the paladin, maybe? also the second roll was "You spent time working in a job related to your background. Start the game with an extra 2d6 gp."
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
This is your life rolls - Manipulated dice roll error is from adding the supplemental table additional roles - I obviously messed up in entering the additional rolls, but the descriptions are all accurate from the original roles.

Name: Vierna Duskryn
Race: Drow
Class: Ranger
Background: Outlander
This is Viernas life according to Xanathar: Vierna Duskryn could have had it all, being born a female into House Duskryn, eighth house of Menzoberranzan. She was given birth in the Arach-Tinilith which in itself was a great honor. Even in early years Vierna however openly questioned the way of the drow, especially their reverence of the Queen of spiders and their dealings with demons and other beings of the lower planes. Her mother, herself a priestess of Lolth, was furious and blamed Viernas father for Viernas softness. To appease her goddess she decided to punish not only Vierna and her father, but also the rest of her seven children that he had fathered. Death would have been to easy a punishment for the Queen of spiders so Viernas mother decided to send them away to live the rest of their squalid lives in the Braeryn "Stenchstreets" district of the city. Her father, embittered, found the strength to defy the will to make them suffer by doing his best to keep the children safe and bring them up in a harsh environment. Given the circumstances, young Vierna had a descent upbringing with her siblings as her only friends but she could still not stand the reek of the demonic taint on the city, so she decided to leave Menzoberranzan and find a new life in the caves of the underdark. There she quickly found a purpose helping those lost or in need and hunting predators of the underdark. At one time she saved an Uthgardt barbarian trapped by a cave fisher abomination and guided him back to the surface. She spoke to him from the shadows, as she knew the drow were feared and hated by most, and she learned he was Thord Thunderaxe of the Elk tribe, part of a raiding party that had been lost in the underdark, he himself being the only survivor. As they were to part ways at the surface Vierna decided to take a leap of faith and reveal herself to the barbarian. Thord Thunderaxe reacted with horror seeing his rescuer was a vile drow and attacked her immediately swinging his mighty axe. Vierna fled back to the underdark but still bears a scar marking the day she had put trust in a stranger. Recently Vierna got a contract through the Bregan D´aerthe, hunting down dretches that accidentally escaped a less than successful class in the Sorcere, the school of wizards in Menzoberranzan. She realized she felt a distinct pleasure in hunting down the vile demons summoned to the underdark by her brethren. Vierna now wanders the underdark in search of lost people to help and demons to hunt.

Rinnill's backstory:
Rinnill was born into a small community of surface-dwelling drow who faithfully followed Eilistraee. The community lived separately from other surface dwellers, knowing that their kind are looked upon with suspicion and prejudice. The community was completely self-sustaining, earth-loving, and peaceful. When Rinnill was in his thirties, his brother, Omareth, was born. The two grew up as close friends. By the time was Omareth was in his twenties, the brothers had a habit of setting out at sunrise and not returning until sunset, playing and exploring together in the wilderness. It was a very happy life the two lived.
Rinnill and Omareth's mother was a teacher of books and weapons. The community stressed the importance of strengthening both the mind and the body. She was also a member of those who would hunt and who would protect the community from outside dangers. Their father was a wizard. A "bladesinger", he used song to enhance both his physical abilities and his manipulation of the weave. His role in the community was as a mentor and leader.
When Rinnill was nearing the age of adulthood, his father took him under his wing and began to teach him how to sing to the weave. Twenty years later, Omareth began apprenticing with his mother. Rinnill was more free-spirited than his brother and had a harder time taking his training seriously. It wasn't but a couple of decades before it was clear Omareth was the stronger warrior simply out of his determination. Rinnill enjoyed learning more about bladesong, but wanted to progress at a more relaxed pace.
When Rinnill was in the middle of his second century, a tragedy struck: his mother disappeared during a hunt and was presumed dead. This was a large blow to both Rinnill's family — particularly his father — and to the community. One positive result was that an elf maiden, Lia, who Rinnill had always admired stepped up to comfort Rinnill, and the two fell in love. Rinnill and Lia had almost a decade together before a second tragedy struck. Lia fell ill and died within a few days. Rinnill felt his world was collapsing in. To make matters worse, his his wife had been lost, Rinnill's father had been becoming more and more reclusive. Neither Rinnill nor Omareth were able to progress much in their training. There were other warriors Omareth could shadow, but it wasn't the same.
A decade and a half after Rinnill's mother disappeared and was presumed dead, Rinnill's father disappeared as well. Determined to not lose both of their parents, Rinnill and Omareth set out to find their father. Fairly good trackers both of them, they were able to follow their father's trail. It led to an entrance to the Underdark. Without much hesitation, the brothers descended into the place they had heard much about, but where they had never ventured. In unfamiliar territory, it became increasingly difficult to follow their father's trail until they had no trace of it any longer.
Along the way, losing time as they went due to the lack of the sun, the brothers discovered a magical item, which they both coveted. Rinnill declared he should keep it since he was the older brother. This started an argument where it was revealed that Omareth had loved Lia and had resented Rinnill for winning her. The argument was so great, and the hurt was so much that Omareth declared that he wanted to split up, and Rinnill agreed. The two brothers went their separate ways and Rinnill hasn't seen him since.
Rinnill continues to travel the Underdark in search of his father and now Omareth as well. He feels bad that they had such a horrible argument, and he hopes his brother is still safe.
Background: Charlatan. Fosco struck a deal with a fiend to acquire powers that he hoped would help him to rise to prominence amongst the townfolk who mocked him. Instead the powers led to tragedy.
Links with Other Applicant's characters: Fosco's only indication is that his patron needs him to accompany the other characters. Personally he wants redemption for his past acts, and if possible a way out of his pact.

Tragedy My parents and 2 elder siblings were slain by a rampaging monster. Backstory: Our concealed small City in a cavern of the underdark had grown too small for our population and so just as teenage years began so did my greatest adventure. Or so I thought. Full of hope 2 groups of us, one including my family set forth into the underdark to begin anew at two different locations. Our was as beautiful a location as one can be in the underdark, with a lake and bioluminescent mushroom's. But a 10day latter disaster struck. I dont remember much of that day, I must have blocked it out to keep my sanity. I had to take care of my younger siblings after all. But regrettably I sometimes see glimpses of it in my sweat drenched nightmares. The handful of us who survived were thankfully accepted by the 2nd group. Some more flavor: We Svirfneblin are always careful and calculating. We know most of the dangers in the underdark and never go unprepared. But this evil was beyond us. And so I learned just as many others of us before me. The darkness here is deep and it can kill you as much as it can protect you. I now step forth with more fear of the shadows. As if the Drow were not enough. But one still has to step forth or just be a sitting target. Having cared for my siblings long enough, I now search for something to light up the shadow of the past. A good prank is always glorious!! But it alas it lasts only for a few moments. Should I look for it in the world above? Should I turn to the bottle? Find new companions? Or will I find peace through the Gods? Show me mercy oh Deep Brother and Master of Stone..
I'd love to play. I need to free up a character slot first though.

Kap: deep gnome paladin:
A retired officer in the Blingdenstone army, “Kap” as surface worlders call him (his real name is ridiculously long thanks to all of his exploits) is really ready to explore the world and see the surface realms, as an emissary for his people. A charismatic and charming guy- he has a tale about everything...
Childhood memories: I had several friends and my childhood was generally a happy one
Personal Decisions: I was apprenticed to a master who taught me the guild’s business.
Tragedies: I lost all my possessions in a disaster, and had to rebuild my life. I also did something that brought terrible shame upon me in the eyes of my family. I was involved in a scandal and offended someone important. The attitude of my family members toward me became indifferent at best, though they might eventually forgive you.
Backstory: Braylin was an apprentice jeweler under his Uncle. With time, he grew skilled, and pulled many gems from the nearby riverbed that he could trade on his own. Eventually, curiosity got the better of him and he began to ask the long bearded humans he sold to what they did with the gems. They said the gems held magical properties that were of no interest to most Duergar, and the curious Braylin wished to know more.
For months, he watched the wizards use the gems to perform magics and he told them how to determine naturally good gems from gems that were modified. His Uncle found out and revoked his apprenticeship. This was a great shame to the family and they exiled him for speaking of the gems with humans in such a way. When Braylin told his uncle what had happened, he was apologetic but there was nothing he could do. With no other choice, Braylin followed the wizards out into the larger Underdark.
The wizards were good to him, and Braylin has a much more pleasant & curious nature than most Duergar. His magical interest at first followed the typically utilitarian Grey Dwarf fashion, molding and shaping: Earth, Fire, and, Water, so he could have hot water, but then they started to grow.

Character Sheet: Celianna at your service!
Notes for DM:
Ended up doing Standard Array for ability scores.
Which actually works out perfectly with the background that could be the paladin, maybe? also the second roll was
"You spent time working in a job related to your background. Start the game with an extra 2d6 gp."
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Love the concept. I'll roll up a full-Xanathar's character in a couple hours!

It turns out Xanathar was a big help!

Tragedy
My parents and 2 elder siblings were slain by a rampaging monster.
Life is very busy unfortunately, gone from most Pbp's indefinitely.

Braylin Brackishstones
Gray Dwarf Transmutation Wizard
12 10 17 15 12 8
"This is my life"
Birthplace: Cave
Siblings: 0
Raised by: Uncle (knew parents-abandoned)
Family lifestyle: Poor
Childhood home: Rundown Shack
