The party gathers their equipment together and travels through the door. Walking down the tunnel, you step through the opening at the end of the hall and are momentarily blinded by the light. When your eyes adjust you a greeted by quite an unusual sight. A large circular, stone room lies before you, lit by a bright white light. The room stretches about thirty feet up and the walls are pocketed with rectangular holes. Inside the holes are humanoid shapes of all sizes. There are two other doors in the room almost directly across from the way you entered. In the center of the room is a simple stone throne, seated on a several raised platforms that decrease in size to form natural steps. Your attention, however, is drawn to the floor where over a dozen bodies dressed in blue and white clothing lay scattered around.
"Nope. I'm out. Come on Scamp." Lari turns and heads back toward the riddle door. He pauses to see what happens to the kobold, his curious nature getting the better of him.

I'll examine the bodies, only touching them with the tip of a shortsword. Are they dead? How long? Can I discern a cause of death? Any interesting symbols on their clothes? Anything of value? Investigation 20
I'll examine the bodies, only touching them with the tip of a shortsword. Are they dead? How long? Can I discern a cause of death? Any interesting symbols on their clothes? Anything of value? Investigation 20
Quintoc examining the bodies you can see they are all dead, and the causes of death varies for each one, some have stab wounds, others have scorch marks, and there is one body that has an axe buried in the back of its skull. The cold makes it difficult to discern the time of death but from the dried blood you manage to determine that they have been dead for a while now. Looking at all the bodies you see that they all have this symbol somewhere on their clothing:
Other then their clothing you find a few daggers, knives, the hand axe that is currently buried in the skull of one of the corpses, and a great axe.
Byg’wigg, currently sitting happily on the throne in the middle room, hears a voice from behind him. The soft, feminine, almost even playful voice come from just above your head and the light that was previously shining on you is blocked out.
"Well now, isn't this quite rude. Not only do my guests not wait to be greeted, but this little one steal my seat. At least you all remembered to knock. I can't tell you how many just try to break in here."
For everyone else:
Now standing behind the kobold and the chair is a beautiful elven woman. Her long black hair is braided together and thrown over one shoulder. Her large tattered robes cover most of her body, leaving only her arms and head exposed. She is leaning heavily on the back of the chair, with her arms folded and resting on the back of the throne. Her head is tilted down and her face is obscured by shadows, as she stares down Byg'wigg.
Byg’wigg stares up at the woman with big Kobold eyes, and fixes his driftwood crown, “Lots of elveses arounds here...” And shifts over on the chair, “But is fine, Byg’wigg share seat. Byg’wigg respectes fellow lady-king. Sit sit.” The kobold pats the stone seat next to him.
OOC: -pfft- lady-king. Byg'wigg is quite the gentleman I see.
Byg'wigg as you glance up to look at her. You notice there is something wrong with her eyes. Instead of having eyes like the other elves in your party, hers are two hallow pools of black, its almost as if she doesn't have any. She smirks and places her hand on your hand, smoothing down your spines. Her touch feels almost like that of a mother comforting a child.
"Oh little one, its adorable that you think we are on equal grounds. Let me tell you something," She coos, leaning closer " You are no where near my level and you never will be. But I do forgive you for you're earlier rudeness." She gives you a final pat, before moving around the chair to stand at the edge of the platform to examine the other in the party.
"I hope you all are more capable then the last batch of mortals my servants brought me. I'm not sure how much more disappointment I can take."
Lari quietly tucks Scamp under his cloak of elvenkind, letting him rest on his belt pouch. He then pulls up the cloaks hood and steps back into the shadows of the hall.
(This would be two actions if he is allowed to stealth. If he is, here is my roll 24.)
Lari steps back and becomes one with the shadows. The woman either doesn't notice or doesn't care that one of the party is now missing and continues to examine the others.
Lari slides his bow off of his shoulder, knocks an arrow, and half draws the bow back. He is ready to shoot the beautiful elf if she does anything threatening.

"Now there's a proper civil greeting. You lot could learn something from this one. It is a pleasure to meet you Ivellios." She returns his bow with a small curtsy of her own.
"As for why you are here, well it seems that I find myself in need of some assistance. These bodies before you are cultists who have dared to enter my home and tarnish it with the worship of their false gods. I've believe they mean to try to take control of my realm and hand it over to their false deities. Usually I'd deal with them myself, but I am currently occupied with... other priorities at the moment. So I sent my servants out to find me those who would have the strength to rid me of these pests."
