"Hey you smelly bastard! Fight me!" Hoghead will take a swing with his hammer and he will use Maneuvers: Distracting Strike. Attack: 15 Damage: 5 plus Bless1 Add 6 to damage from the Distancing strike.

When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll and the next attack roll against the target by an attacker other than you has advantage if the attack is made before the start of your next turn.

Tydir (blessed) Summons forth a spiritual weapon and strikes Ca1 with it, doing damage.
ca1 (bane) Targets Davis with a death ray... Death Ray (Recharge 3). The catoblepas targets a creature that it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 39 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the target instead takes 64 necrotic damage. The target dies if reduced to 0 hit points by this ray. Davis's save: 12
Davis (blessed) Davis strikes out at the most injured of the abominations, hitting twice. Then he pauses, gaining back some of his own strength to continue onward...

If either of the above hit, he invokes the Fire rune, a rune on his glaive flaming bright as a lacework of fire atempts to encircle and confine the abomination he struck.
When you hit a creature with an attack using a weapon, you can invoke the rune to summon fiery shackles: the target takes an extra 2d6 fire damage, and it must succeed on a STR saving throw (DC:14) or be restrained for 1 minute. While restrained by the shackles, the target takes 2d6 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. Damage from fire rune: 6 Save: 18
ca2 Targets Davis with another Death ray... Death Ray (Recharge 3.) The catoblepas targets a creature that it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 36 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the target instead takes 64 necrotic damage. The target dies if reduced to 0 hit points by this ray.
hoghead (blessed and shield of faith) and Tydir (blessed) are up. < br /> Not really enough changes to require a map update. skarias has moved Behind Davis, but that shouldn't affect Hoghead or Tydir's actions.
Even with the Bane affecting it, Ca1 manages to evade Davis's fire rune chains. It takes damage from them though, looking fairly injured at this point. (Down to 12 hp...)
hoghead (blessed and shield of faith) Voicing his frustration at the ineptness of his companions, Hoghead bashes the abomination in front of him with three solid blows, staggering the thing, but not taking it down. (25 HP left.)
Tydir (blessed) Takes down the first of the abominations with a blast of radiant power. He moves his spiritual weapon to the abomination facing Hoghead, but misses with his attack.
skarias Calls down sacred fire on the last abomination, but it easily dodges the flames.
Davis (blessed) Swinging with his glaive, he strikes home with three powerful blows. The abomination crumples under the final attack.
You all stand, catching your breath, as the final threat is taken out. Feel free to take a short rest. Then post initiative when you are ready to move into the next chamber. Also any pre-encounter actions should be posted as well.

"Thanks for the Blessing, Skarias. I'll plan on going through the door first again. I will try to distract whatever it is we are fighting so that it easier for you all to hit them. It won't distract them for long so hit em hard. Hey Tydir, you got anymore of that magic armor spell you can cast on me?"
Tydir sighs and reluctantly blesses the slow-witted fighter's armor once more with Shield of Faith. 'Here, you dullard, but this doesn't make you invulnerable, just harder to hit you big oaf'
'I called you a dullard, not a dummy. Although I'm not surprised you don't know the difference between slow and slow-witted since - as you said - you're good at hitting things and not much more.' Smiling and clapping the warrior on the back 'Thankfully hitting things hard is exactly what we need right now, so lead the way my well-protected friend!'
Hoghead shrugs off backhanded compliment, not completely understanding the words but catching the meaning. He straightens himself up, tightens his shield and spins his hammer in his hands. He yells, "Alright Chumps, Let's Do This!" as he pushes through the next door.
