Teo creeps forward into the secret passage until the bridges are in view. He scans the area for any immediate danger and, once the rest of the party make their way in, attempts to sneak over to the closest bridge to give it a closer look. My skill checks:

Teo scans the room, but can't pick anything out of the darkness. As he sneaks forwards towards the bridge and the edge of the chasm the smell of decaying flesh gets stronger. You crouch close to the bridge and begin your inspection of it. You don't pick up on anything that would suggest it is trapped.

Teo looks over the edge into the crevasse and guesses it is about 20ft deep, and between 5 and 10ft across at various points. The sides of the crevasse looks easily navigated, they aren't to steep and offer plenty of footholds and hand holds. The foul smell of decay is even stronger as you look over the edge.
Teo slinks back to the party. He whispers, "The bridge is sturdy enough but there's something unnatural in that crevasse. I can't see what it is, but I sure can smell it. We can try the bridge across, but I fear we would be easy pickings for what lurks below."
Teo looks back at the bridge. "I could create a small diversion further up the crevasse, closer to the second bridge, and draw any unpleasant creatures away from where we are crossing."He turns back to the group. "We would need to move quickly across, but I think it would work. I used to get around goblin patrols fairly easily using this method. What do you all think?"
Indio passes Ryn on the way into the cavern. "Nice trap," he says. "It's a pity you had to spoil it by warning them." He gives a wink and a smirk to show it's in jest.
The smirk slides away as Indio enters the cavern. His nose crinkles and he recoils. "This place..."he says quietly. "It's not just the smell." He looks around and he, too, notes the redundant crossing. "So is the other bridge trapped?"he asks Teo. "You know one has to be. Probably not both." He frowns at the layout. "I'm tempted to think it's this one here," he admits. "It wouldn't make as much sense to trap the one so far out of the way..."
He, too, tries creeping in to check on the bridge.

Ryn: Ryn retrieves a torch from his pack, using one of the lamps to light it before handing it to the woman prisoner. He says, "The way to town should be clear. Go to the Town Master's hall and find Sildar. He can be trusted and will assist you."
Spear in hand and lantern dimmed, Ryn follows roughly 30ft behind the more stealthy members of the party. He listens closely, ready to react immediately if needed.

"Not all those who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Melaria will stop everyone and whisper to Apple. "Guys wait! Let Apple test out the bridges, if they are trapped, he'll find out."
((Assuming everyone is OK with this plan.))
Melaria will then have Apple fly to the bridges and land on each one, jumping up and down, all around both bridges, trying to trigger any traps. Melaria will be at the ready to snap her fingers and have Apple vanish if a trap does trigger.
Teo bows in deference to Apple. "Thank you for your service."
He then mutters to himself as he readies his bow, "...the bridge isn't trapped...don't need to check my work..." As he prepares an arrow, Teo takes a glance at the other side of the crevasse, gauging the distance. "Can't be more than 10 feet across," he says to no one in particular. Then, with more certainty, he informs the crew, "We could all jump across, right here. Don't even need to use the bridges."
But, the smell hits Teo once again, reminding him of the unknown horror below. "Let's see what ol' Apple uncovers, first, eh?"

Indio looks over the bridge and picks up on something that Teo missed, some of the fastenings look tampered with, he suspects set to collapse when enough weight is placed on the bridge. He turns readying to head back to the group, and stops.
For Indio;
You feel something in your mind, like a finger being traced across your consciousness. Then a presence, speaking directly in your head, a raspy desperate voice.
"*sniff* *sniff*...what's an elf doing here then...have you brought me some fresh meat....wait, what's this...are you wrapped up with Gundren, eh. *an inhale of breath*. Oh yes, know I know your secret."

Apple flies to the first bridge, hovers over it momentarily, near to Indio. Then lands on the bridge and jumps up and down on it, to no effect. Apple then flies further North into the room, to the second bridge and repeats the exercise, that would be sure to convince any onlooker they were losing their mind. Again, other than the bridge oscillating slightly with the jumps, there is no effect.

((Rolled a perception check for Apple. As it finishes it's check on the second bridge the pseudodragon sees something that makes it panic. From behind the Northern pillar it sends you an image telepathically of what it saw;
Indio suddenly feels like a complete ass as he checks the bridge. Then he finds something, which only makes things even more complicated. He returns to the group, a grim expression on his face. "Teo," he says contritely, " I owe you an apology. After completely missing that secret door, I still had the gall to think I could see something you didn't. I apologize for my hubris," he says seriously. ""That said, I did notice that the whole bridge is rigged to collapse, with enough weight." He turns to Melaria. "Apple was too light to trigger it, I suppose. The bridge isn't trapped, exactly," he clarifies, "The whole thing is a trap."
He takes a deep breath and continues, now addressing the whole party. "And whatever is in there knows we're here. It's telepathic. It can read our thoughts. It spoke to me in my mind," he explains, "and knows Gundren's name. Whether it knew from my thoughts or knew already I can't be sure."
Teo's eyes widen at Indio's illustration of the bridge collapse. He shifts his stance slightly, clears his throat, and unnecessarily adjusts his grip on his bow. "Well, I'm not a bloody civil engineer, am I?" He pauses. "Good catch, Indio. I'd rather you prove me wrong now and not while we're falling ass over teakettle into a cursed crevasse."
Tygron takes a look at the bridge to see if it’s anything he can fix… either with the Mending cantrip or another way (he’s skilled in tinkering and smithing)
“Any idea whot manner o beast be here- it’s like I feel something nearby”. He says
Melaria's eyes go wide and she starts smacking the backs of everyone. "Guys, guys, guys, the bridges are fine, however, Apple got spooked by something in the other room. Big green eye, spiky teeth, creepy looking. Not something that screams friend. Let's be careful."
Teo replies, "Melaria, you claim you saw the thing. Is it a stand-and-fight situation, or more of a run-and-hide situation?"He looks around for suitable hiding places amongst the rocks.
Indio is uncomfortable with Melaria's declaration that the bridges are safe, but has taken too many hits to his confidence lately to argue. "From what it said to me, the creature seems more hungry than hostile," the monk suggests. "It wants fresh meat. Did we actually kill any of those Redbrands?"
Tygron drops his pack off his shoulder. “Naw we didn’t kill any redbrands yet today. But I’ve got some nice jerkey here, wolves like it. And if it lets us cross- Mayhap we get ‘im some fresh wizard meat
He pulls out a slab of smoked meat and holds it out.

Ryn: Stepping forward shaking his head, Ryn says quietly, "They all still live, but perhaps the creature will take the word of an experienced hunter?"
Ryn attempts to think -at- the darkness, saying, "If you can read minds, then you know I can track any animal your heart may desire, but you must give us something first to prove your goood faith. Tell us of what you know of these Redbrands and their leader, Glasstaff. What dangers await us in this place?"
