Onu exhales as he gets to the top of the ladder, feeling the magic flow through his body. He drives his blade into the dead Orc at the top of the wall, ensuring it's entirely dead.
'Well.....we need to cleanse this temple don't we? Seems getting rid of the Ogre's is cleansing.' He twirls his blade, flicking dark blood through the air. 'Should we take a breath or push on?'
Nova happily inhales some fresh air, feeling the healing prayers administered by Hamish wash over her. She remains close to Fae, checking in on the wizard quite frequently. While she wasn't as physically beat up as Onu or Hamish, she had expended a lot of her magic reserves. However, Fae wouldn't complain, nor would she break her focus on the shrine. "Yes." She'd agree with Onu about the cleansing of the temple as she'd stand there, hugging her book to her chest. Fae was determined to get inside the shrine. This has been the closest she's been able to get. The altar is almost within reach...
KD looks at Fae. "Fae, is there something inside that we should get to, before those ogres see us? Would it help us take them out? Hal and I have seen better days. I'm running out of tricks of my sleeve. But I'm with you, tricks or no tricks."
How high up are we in the tower? Compared to the heights of the ogres? Can they reach us?
“While there’s said to be great treasure hidden within the Shrine,” Fae says a matter-of-factly, “I seek to access the altar before these defilers see to it’s demise, if they haven’t already…” The wizard trails off. “To cleanse the temple indeed means to rid it of these Ogres.” She then adds, “While they may not see us yet, we could take advantage of bottle necking them at the base of the tower and picking them off.”
“anyone have any tricks up their sleeve to hit them by surprise? I like the idea of us being up here and being able to hit them and them staying down there and not being able to hit us. At least for a while,” KD says, tucked away against a wall and slowly casting mending and healing up Hal to full.
"Like I said, I have a spell that will make it harder for them to hit us and also make it harder for them to withstand some additional attacks." Hamish thinks for a moment. "I don't know much about this but, since we're up here and they're down there, should we get rid of the ladder so that they can't climb it?"
KD snaps and says, "I could have sworn I'd already done that, but that's an excellent reminder." She goes to the ladder and slowly pulls it up, unless someone else wanted to do it.

Onu's dexterity was swift and almost unseen. His trusty bolt 'slinger' slung, piercing the first Ogre directly in the chest, causing a skip in his wails.

Fae's hasty shot narrowly skids along the front Ogre's head, causing his trio of hairs to erupt in a surprisingly intense blaze. The hooded wizard brings herself to the towers edge watching over the flames of battle they triggered with conviction.
"Oh hohoho! Didjya see that? Did ya see me?" Bubbly Nova bounces and bobs in pride, nudging at the wizard and playfully bumping KD. She looked up to them. The young eager apprentice was practically a complete energy contrast to Fae's current intensity. "Freeze dried Ogre pea brains baby!" She chimes with a wiggle of her hips as she waits to see if she succeeds with her second frostbite.

KD indeed secures the ladder up in the tower. It's a bit of a squeeze, but she manages.
"Nova and I have fire power." Fae says with a hint of a shy guilty smirk for her pun.
Should the group manage to coordinate their efforts together, it was more than possible for them to get the jump on the ogres.
