"Oh I see, giant octopi." Tom says looking a bit distraught. "So when do we leave?" He asks, trying to sound more confident than he is.

"You just need us for one day?" Ghathi asks.  "Or are you hoping for some continuing help?"  He looks around at the other Munchkins. "It seems like we could probably be of service if the price is right."  He is clearly leaving that negotiation up to the others. 

"This sounds like a fine proposition" says Osborn, keenly.  "I vote we take the job"

"Well, I leave in an hour, I need to go get ready, meet at the end of the docks, the ship is called The Ironwood" With that, the man finishes his drink and leaves the bar.

"So soon." Tom says with a dour face to no one in particular. "Better get ready then I suppose?" He adds, looking at the others.

Ghathi nods to Tom. "One hour - that is soon!  And he never really said what we would get paid."  He takes a quick sip of his ale then sets down the not-quite-empty glass. "Suppose we at least meet him and try to find out.  Though, not sure when we're going to get some rest.  Maybe on the boat?"

"Never slept on a boat, but I suppose it would rock you to sleep. Another one before we go?" Tom perks up and looks up at the goliath beside him smiling, standing on his chair and waving for the barmaid to bring them another round of drinks.

With loud belch Orin "Another round? Music to my ears" 

Osborn declines a second ale, with work looming so soon.

"Yeah...how much is the actual fee for this job?"

Ghathi looks at Osborn.  "He never said. But let's go down to the boat and see."  He stands and gets ready to leave. 

"Anyone need to do anything beforehand? Last chance!" he calls out.

Seeing the mighty goliath ready to leave Tom quickly finishes his beer. "Tom Tosskettle reorting for duty Sir." He says quickly, climbing down from his chair, grabbing his pack, ready to leave for the boat.

(If nobody wants to do anything else, we can cut forward to when you all get on the boat.)

Orin downs the last of his 5 mug of ale and stands ready (Con saving throw for how intoxicated he is lol 18)

As he goes to take his first step he kinda stumbles into the table a bit "Watch where yer goin!" He says to the table

Osborn claps his hands excitedly and jumps down from his chair, taking a wide circle around the slightly unsteady Orin and cheering "Yeah let's go!  Munchkin Squad boat trip!"

Seeing everyone ready to go, Ghathi heads out with the group to head to the boat. 

Tom had looked forward to a night in a bed but this was the life of an adventurer so he scurries along to the boat, keeping close to the others.

The east end of town where the port is is the biggest,  most populated, and poorest part of town. You reach a old ship with "The Ironwood" painted on the side, the ship has visible large wears and tears, right now, the man you spoke too and a female gnome are patching up a large hold in the back of the ship, while a hobgoblin is loading stuff onto the ship.

"Oh dear, the Ironwood does not look that seaworthy to me. Maybe we should go back to the Inn?" Tom says, clearly reluctant to go down with the ship.

"Well, I'm sure the captain must know what he's doing? Right?" Ghathi does not sound confident at all.  He comes over to where the man and gnome are working.  He's not sure he wants to interrupt while they are working on things that might determine whether the boat sinks or floats.
