He pours out the drinks, and says "Well I don't know, he isn't a frequent patron, here." He then begins to walk over to the dwarf with one of the drinks, after some talking that you can't make out, he walks back with the drink. "He... rejected it."
Osborn quaffs his ale gratefully, then nearly spills it as he hears that Gromedark's kind offer has been rejected. He walks over to the dwarf and says "Excuse me sir, but that's a mighty fine drink you just declined. Now I'll be glad to drink it myself, so as not to let it go to waste, but may I ask why you chose not to partake?"
"I'm sorry to here that, it sound like you've been unlucky in your acquaintances"
Osborn pulls up a chair and says "I'm Osborn, handyman for hire. My friends over there are Gromedark - the charitable fella who sent the drink - and Orin. We like to help people, and seems like we have a knack for it"
He takes a swig to let his introduction sink in, and then (assuming no interruption) "Now we're not strangers, is there anything we can help you with friend?"
"Osborn, where do I remember that name?" He mutters to himself. "Eh, probably nothing, anyway, I chasing down a convict, Krunt Cobble, and well, I found him, didn't go well." He lifts up his left hand to show his hand has been completely taken off, now the bandages are all that remains.
Osborn waves politely to indicate he is not interested in food right now. Trying to show tact in front of his new acquaintance's injury, he says "My commiserations friend, that's a bad turn of luck. If you have any leads on this...Krunt...maybe my team and I could chase him down for you? Split the reward, eh?"
"Well it's rumoured to be the gods' way of making up for our physical shortcomings, such as they are" says Osborn with a genuine smile. "It allows us to enjoy their offerings so much more apparently, I'm not sure I buy that but I'm not complaining!"

"Okay, expensive or cheep?"

"I don't take drinks from strangers, especially now."

Orin speaks after up slamming his empty cup onto the table. "Another, and keep them coming!"
The bar waiter serves drinks to both Gromedark and Orin, "What kind o' food you want?" He asks
"Alrighty, stew and peppers it is."
Orin pauses mid swallow and raises an eyebrow at the mention of stew before continuing to drink.
"Okay" HE runs off into the back room.
Osborn waves politely to indicate he is not interested in food right now. Trying to show tact in front of his new acquaintance's injury, he says "My commiserations friend, that's a bad turn of luck. Osborn can you make a persuasion check.

He thinks for a second, looks at his hand and says "Alright. Is that beer still on the table?"
Osborn smiles widely "Of course! Let me just fetch it!"
He darts back to the bar, grabs the initially-refused drink and says to Gromedark and Orin "I think we have a job"
Sitting back down with the dwarf and sliding him the beer, Osborn says "So, where shall we start?"
"More work, more coin, more drinks" Orin picks up his ale and follows Gromedark to join the others.
"Alright, we can begin the hint tomorrow, for now, let's drink!"
"Yes! Drinks!" Osborn takes a deep swig of ale and gestures to the barkeep to keep them coming.
"Well it's rumoured to be the gods' way of making up for our physical shortcomings, such as they are" says Osborn with a genuine smile. "It allows us to enjoy their offerings so much more apparently, I'm not sure I buy that but I'm not complaining!"
