The wight's eyes narrow, his mouth set into a deep frown as Ola provides her protective magic. "Everything was safe. Pray tell, mortals, why you would remove the protective barrier from that which you are 'making sure is safe'," he snarls.
The room smells of burning coal and incense. The undead man speaks with a voice like crackling flame. Harsh whispers accompany his sentences, as if others long gone are trying to speak through his voice.
Hex looks at the group nervously but continues to speak. "Well, we weren't the first people to come here and try to open it and we most certainly aren't going to be the last. We undid the barrier so that we could move whatever relic was here and get it some place safer. Somewhere the Cult of Dragons wouldn't know." Hex points back to the dead human. "I don't know how much you know but that guy over there is a part of the cult and was going to use the relic to persuade a red dragon to help them, probably to cause a massive amount of damage to innocent people."
Sylyra looks at Hex with surprise and then respect. He looks back at the creatures to see how this will continue. He is prepared to jump out of the way if things go poorly.
"The Cult of the Dragon?!" the wight sneers derisively at the mention. "Those wastrels couldn't see the beauty in the draconic if their mothers breastfed it to them...lunatics vying for control of dead dragons. I subverted living dragons with nothing but my own voice! If those cultists lie dead then you have earned your ability to leave this place behind. You may leave this temple unharmed, but this relic does not move. It belonged to the Circle of the Scale in life, and it belongs to us in death. Thus is our curse," he spits.
"Would your final death free you from that curse?" Ola was not threatening the undead, just kept the surreal conversation going. "If you wish so, we can help you."
Hex panics ever so slightly as Ola asks her question, believing her to be threatening the undead before realising her actual intentions. She looks to the wight with curiosity.
"Circle of the Scale? What is that? Something apposing the Cult of Dragons?" Urgum asks. He turns to the others... "With all the weird dragon stuff going on of late, if there is an opposing faction, I would like to know that."
The creature's lips curl back into a wicked grin. "If you are willing to have your head freed from your shoulders, you are welcome to try," he taunts. "I have been punished by the gods for the acts that I and my brethren committed in life; but if you believe that to mean I will allow this relic to be disturbed simply to be freed from this curse, then you are sadly mistaken."
His eyes shoot over to Uragum. "To compare us to that sniveling pile of fools is folly. The Cult of the Dragon has never succeeded at anything. They spend their time resurrecting dead dragons, while we...well, why waste time on dragons who died, when you can control those who live, and survive, and thrive? That is true strength."
"The Circle of the Scale resided here, in the foothills of the Dragonspine Mountains. You stand in the temple where our druidic sect reached some of its crowning achievements; and I am Scalebinder Skovac, the one who led us here. We used magic and kobold labor to excavate this subterranean complex. The relic you see behind me is a scale from Tiamat herself. I alone held its power, and subverted the will of dragons on a number of occasions. However..."
Skovac's eyes narrow as he recounts this part of the tale. "The dragons of this region would not be so easily subjugated. Scorlworyx, The Scorching Wind, a bastard of a red dragon, used a large host of orcs and kobolds to attack this temple and destroy our sect. But he would not regain the scale. I sealed myself within these walls, along with the relic, and have remained at my charge since."
"So not a group geared at stopping the Cult of thr Dragon because they are evil but a different power hungry group not opposed to stomping another that gets in their way." Uragum says. He looks at the others, "Evil is evil right?" He whispers.

"With the same goal too. You are right," nodded Ola. "And you," she looked at the creature, "is too dangerous to be left "alive" near the town." Everything was said and she simply attacked.
At her turn attacking the closest undead. The goal is to stay close to the door, so undead can not get past her.
Hex looks hesitant at Uragum, not sure if she actually did want to fight the undead but as Ola charged forward, she shrugs and pulls out her bow to shoot at the same undead as Ola.
(Not sure if we get a surprise round or not so I'll hold off rolling attacks for now.)
Placement: Scalebinder Skovac and two zombies are 15 feet inside of the chamber.
Health: Sylyra is lightly wounded. Uragum is lightly wounded.
OOC: Players have won the initiative. I'll advance the round once Sylyra and Uragum have posted their actions, and give Ola a chance to verify her action. The undead are standing near the relic 15 feet into the room, so she wouldn't be able to make a melee attack and block the doorway completely.

Uragum was in a slight shock at Ola's sudden attack but he wasn't disappointed. Call up the last of his strongest spells, he conjured the large ball of fire he's been using recently. He then rammed it into the talking one.
Action: Cast flaming sphere
Bonus action: move sphere into the wight.
placement of sphere should be infront of wight and our group.

The more this Scalebinder Skovac talked, the more Sylyra listened. He had of course heard of druidic circles before, but his life in Waterdeep had kept him from ever even becoming acquainted with one. The idea of communing with a group of like-minded beings — especially powerful ones — was enticing. But dragons? Of course, if one controls a great beast, there is less to fear.
Before Sylyra can craft any of his thoughts into a carefully worded question, that bull-headed blue elf started swinging her sword. Despite his desire to know more, he knew there was no turning back now.
The druid makes a jabbing motion with his staff, and a trail of motes falls from the mistletoe tied to the end. With a short Druidic phrase, a small tear opens in the sky, and a moonbeam falls over the wight.
moonbeam: DC14 CON save or take 10 radiant damage (half damage on success)

Though Uragum's flame and Hex's arrow seem to wound the wight more, Skovac roars at the light of Sylyra's radiant moonbeam. As he runs toward the entryway, he pulls a weathered piece of parchment from him armor. He recites the words quickly, conjuring a fiery scimitar from thin air into his waiting palm. The heat from the arcane blade singes Sylyra's eyebrows as he barely pulls back in time to avoid Skovac's first swing.
Ola makes good use of her heavy armor, allowing the zombies to rain blows down upon it while cutting into the leg of one.
OOC: The creature is wearing studded leather armor.
