As Uragum's sword slides into Scalebinder Skovac's skull, Sylyra's own head jerks. He scowls up at the wizard. "Gruesome indeed," the elf hisses. His eyes slide back down to the slain druid, his mind returning to the things Skovac had said.
After the dead are officially dead again. Uragum will do an official search of not only the bodies but the room as well. Maybe there is a tome or mural or such that could provide some additional information.

Sylyra gets to his feet stubbornly and mumbles a few words in Druidic. (cure wounds: 9) Hex notices a few of his cuts and bruises healing magically. "I'll be fine," he says, sounding angry. "Are we done here?" he asks, speaking a little too loudly.
Hex is slightly taken aback by Sylyra's sudden anger but doesn't push further. Instead she just gives him a skeptical look before helping Uragum search the room and bodies.
"We will have to show that scale to the more learned. But yes, I think we are done here and can return now. We do have all the evidence, right?" Ola was ready to return to the city.
Sylyra's bear spirit dissipates as Uragum begins to take a look around with Hex. While the rest of the room is nondescript, the pair find a necklace on Skovac's body made of red gold, with a small red dragon scale engraved with a rune; both Hex and Uragum recognize the Draconic representation of, "Fire". The wight also carries a spell scroll in his armor, which appears illegible to both Hex and Uragum.
OOC: Along with letting me know who is claiming the discovered items, if the party is ready to return to Phlan, let me know what the first destination in the city will be.

You emerge from the underground temple to the circle of standing stones, returning to your horses to find them a little restless but unharmed. The journey back to Phlan is as uneventful as the first trek through the lowland foothills, and the weather remains temperate throughout. Two days from your fight with Skovac you pass through the town gates in the afternoon to return your borrowed steeds and head to the towering facade of Mantor's Library.
When you enter and ask for the Lord Sage, a busy scribe nearly turns you away before a harsh whisper from another attendant explains your purpose. You are briskly escorted to offices of the old half-elf, who thanks the attendant in taciturn fashion before setting down his quill and standing to greet you.
"Pray tell you have good news? It is good, at the very least, to see you have returned safely," he says, wiping ink from his hands onto a cloth at his hip.
OOC: Characters have received the benefits of two long rests.
"We fought the thief," began Ola the explanations. "Unfortunately, he was killed in that battle. From what we could learn, Spernik was a member of some dragon cult. It seems he wanted to get this thing." She produced the red scale and pointed at the runes. "Could you tell what do they mean?"
The morning after their first night of camping, Sylyra's sulkiness appears to have drained away, and his usual elitist, yet polite attitude has returned.
In the tower, he finds a chair and falls into it to lounge while the females take care of business.
The Lord Sage studies the relic closely, but shakes his head. "These runes are unfamiliar to me; not Draconic, and they don't strike any knowledge of other languages I might recognize. If you could leave it here, the library can reimburse you for the artifact with 150 gold pieces. An object like this could fetch you more if you find the right buyer, but with time, I may be able to discover what properties this relic has, if any."
"I will not celebrate a man's death, but I am glad that our thief has been brought to justice at the very least. Hopefully this journal will tell us everything he could while alive. You have certainly earned your reward, and I am happy to see my reservations at hiring adventurers were unfounded. I will have the treasurer bring you your 50 gold pieces, in addition to the aforementioned 150 if you find that agreeable," the Lord Sage still speaks with little emotion, though he moves with a more youthful vigor upon hearing Spernik's fate.
OOC: Added the spell scroll and necklace to Uragum's inventory from the previous round of posts. Waiting to add any of the gold in case the Lord Sage's offer is taken.
"Would you please give us a moment?" Ola did not see any reason to hold to the relic, but others might. She looked at others. "My vote would be to leave the scale here. Maybe with a request to be informed about the result of their study. Scholars have more use for such things than some collections and considering how strongly the thing was guarded... I would feel safer if someone truly learned would study it. But it is not my decision to make. What do you say?"
Looking a little more interested in the conversation now that gold is being discussed, Sylyra offers, "If they were willing to keep the scale and study it without payment, we could attempt to find a buyer for it in the meantime. If we find no better option, we could agree to their offer then."

Hex steps back from the altar after examining it and nods at Ola. "Doesn't look to be any traps. It should be safe to take."
While Ola and Uragum did their thing, Hex glances curiously at Sylyra. "Are you alright? You took quite a few hits."
OOC: Added red dragon scale to Ola's inventory.
Ola is able to safely remove the scale from the altar as Uragum finishes seeing the undead to their rest.

Ola does not claim anything and the first destination should be the library, I guess? Or whoever we have to give the evidence of Skovac's death.

Uragum will take the spell scroll and the necklace. "With these, now I think we are ready.... Back to town," he says.
Yep, all ready to return to town. I suppose the first destination would be to find the Lord Sage at the library.
Sylyra's ready to return. He doesn't have anywhere in particular that he things they should go; he'll follow the others distractedly.
OOC: Sorry for the delay everyone.

(Haha, I think you mean Spernik, not Skovac.)
Hex also hands over Spernik's journal to the Lord Sage. "This was also his journal, if you want more information on what he was doing."
