Ola would not mind fire, since the group is far from their destination and after all, why simple travellers should not have a campfire? Since she can not see in darkness, her watch will be equally bad at any time of the night. She could take a second watch.
As Sylyra only needs to meditate for four hours, he will take both third and fourth watches. He works on another letter to his mother, but ends up spending a lot of the time in (unintentional) self-reflection.

This night passes by peacefully, then another, without a single soul in sight.
The rolling hills are peppered with large boulders, likely having fallen millennia ago from the mountains looming above. Finally, in the early hours of the afternoon, two days from your departure, you reach a large clearing with a 60-foot-wide circle of stones standing in its center, each 20 feet tall themselves.
Dozens of clear footprints in the dusty soil lead toward the center of the circle.
OOC: Characters have received the benefits of two long rests.
"A teleportation circle?" That was the only explanation Ola could come up with for the footprints. She stood outside, not risking to accidentally activate the thing.
Hex approaches the circle of stones as well, following behind Ola. When at the edge, she kneels down for a closer look at the foot prints, trying to see if she can figure out how old some of them are and who they may belong to.
At Ola's suggestion of what the structure may be, Hex hums in agreement. "Yeah, maybe. I was thinking the same."
Sylyra's rock seems to simply disappear when it reaches the center of the stones, and as the party draws nearer, the reason becomes evident. Cunningly concealed in the center of the circle of stones, beneath a complex system of shifting stone, is an opening covered by centuries of dust and plant growth. A set of stairs cut into the rock leads down into darkness.
For Hex:
The tracks appear to have been made about two days ago. You note ten different sets of footprints but can't determine which type of creature created them.
"This is even disappointing." She really felt this way - so much traveling just to find some hole in the ground. "But makes things easier too. Guess, we should have to get down there." She bound her horse in a way, that would let the animal feed on the grass around, lightened up a torch (unless there are other ideas to get some light down there), and stepped into the circle. Should nothing bad happen immediately, she walked/climed down the hole.
Hex let out a laugh. "Perhaps we'll come across a teleportation circle once we're underground." She stood back up and dusted herself off before following behind Ola. "The tracks here seem to have been made two days ago. Oddly enough, I counted ten different sets of footprints. Looks like we're going to encounter more trouble than we originally thought."
Uragum scoffs, "More trouble than we expected? Not likely, I expect a dragon..." he says and he moves up near the others. He cracks his knuckles and then his neck before he pulls outs his staff.
"So far we were lucky not to find any and I sincerely hope our luck stays. But can not say ten sets of footprints is reassuring either." Ola heeded Hex's words and mover forward as cautious as she could.

Once the horses have been tied off, it takes only the briefest moment for Ola's aforementioned luck to expire. The moment that she and Hex lead the way into the circle of stones, a cluster of kobolds explodes into action, having almost perfectly hidden themselves behind the columns. Sylyra, approaching more attentively, sees the shadows of movement a little sooner than everyone else.
The kobolds rush toward Hex and Ola, daggers in hand, leaping and jumping as they jab outward, seeking and finding purchase in their armor's gaps. The two remaining kobolds display their wings, taking to the sky with large jagged stones in hand and thrusting them down at Sylyra and Uragum.
Round 1 Order: Enemies Players <===== Hex, Ola, and Uragum are surprised
Placement: Hex is engaged in melee combat with four kobolds. Ola is engaged in melee combat with four kobolds. Two winged kobolds are flying 20 feet above Sylyra and Uragum.
Health: Hex is lightly wounded. Ola is lightly wounded.
OOC: Sylyra is the only character who can act in this first round, as the others are surprised.
Sylyra is astonished as two of the kobolds take to the air. They can fly?! He can't take his eyes off of them, which does him service as he is able to sidestep the rock bomb one aims at his head. He says a quick "Look out!" to Uragum before his elf form begins to shimmer and shake. He falls forward onto his hands, which turn into large, hairy paws before they make contact with the sand. Now a spitting image of the large mutt dog that attacked them in the tunnel near the Stojanow River, Sylyra moves forward with a growl to chomp down on one of the kobolds attacking Ola and Hex.
Bonus action: wild shape into "Mutt", which has wolf statistics per this post.

Sylyra, shifted into the form of a wild and mangy dog, leaps into the pile of kobolds. His canine teeth sink into the base of a kobold neck, feeling the crunch of its spine as it is tossed away lifeless. The remaining creatures continue their frantic pace, some falling over Sylyra while the others continue to drag Hex downward, punching their daggers into her body before she even has a chance to react. The kobolds unleash a wicked cheer, raising their daggers victoriously skyward as they look to find their next target. Both of the winged kobolds assault Uragum from above, one finally striking the goliath with a stone.

Health: Hex is unconscious and dying (0 successes, 0 failures). Sylyra's mutt form is wounded. Ola is lightly wounded. Uragum is lightly wounded.
Mutt-Sylyra growls louder as he sees Hex fall. Bearing his glistening teeth, he attempts to tear into another kobold (making sure to attack one that is "engaged" with Ola to take advantage of its distraction).

As the kobolds attack and she starts to lose consciousness, Hex is immediately hit with anger and guilt. How could she have been so careless? In her eagerness to catch up with the thief, she forgot to be cautious and was now paying for her impatience. She could only hope her companions would be okay without her.
