Aryniel approaches the family with her usual grim expression, silently checking if they are wounded and nodding in satisfaction at seeing them in one piece, "So, how did this chaos start? Does this dragon have some history with the town?"

 "I'm assuming this is important. They might be on the parapet of the Keep."

"Thank ya, kindly! Hopefully, they'll allow us to aid in the defense." Brokath says, then turns to move to the parapet.

Aryniel nods and remains in her grim visage, "Assumed as much." then turns to Brokath, measuring up the fighter before joining behind him towards the parapet.

Aryniel and Brokath (and anyone else that comes) notices a human male pacing atop the parapet.

Aryniel hesitates at her first step, but eventually walks out onto the parapet and addresses the person from a distance, "We've been trying to reach you." she indicates the rest of her comrades with a curt wave, "We were passing nearby with a caravan, sent some of your people to safety, fought our way to your keep." she eyes the surroudings from this advantage point, "What else is needed to drive off these miscreants?" she lets the words hang briefly as she narrows her eyes and measures up the man, "I am Aryniel Melishantar from Arundath, in the Snakewood to the south."

 They reply, "I am Tarbaw Nighthill. We don't know, this Keep is mostly for safety. We have guards and some people here know how to fight, but with a dragon out there, it is too dangerous." 

*Also, some additional things: The right side of his face and head are bandaged, his right arm hangs in a sling, and his tunic is stained with blood.*

Aryniel nods and approaches the edge of the parapet, "You look like you've seen your share of battle," briefly silencing, but continuing before the human can feel any pride from her words "...but a leader should always be ready to lay down his life in favor of his people." and proceeds to survey the keep's surroundings in spite of the response.

((Is the dragon near? Can she see anything useful from up here?))

"Aye, we saw that giant flyin' lizard. Gramps said theys no joke. Had th' scars on his chest to prove it." Brokath nods. "But, if he shyed away jus' cause o' what they are, he'd have 'em on his back. Get my meanin'?"

(Sad to say I'm going to have to drop out of the campaign. Life just isn't giving me even the little mount of time needed for it. Have fun, folks! I enjoyed killing kobolds with you all!)
