I'd like to play a barbarian. Is there any world lore we should know about? Are there any house rules?

Glad you asked. I don't normally run encumbrance or components for spells, but if someone would like to participate in those that can be arranged. You cans can either roll your starting gold or pick any amount under 100. You can pick any basic starting equipment just keep in mind the more expensive your wears are the more likely you'll be the target of a bandit attack. I do normally change the rules a bit for resurrections just to keep death as a threat. Other than that, I can't think of any rules that will spring up.
I do have a homebrew pantheon. If you're looking to have a connection with a certain god or gods I can give you a quick rundown. I'll post a small snippet of the lore shortly.
