Intimidation : 20
Flares of light, violet orbs and lightening bursts extend outward from her body as he concentrates and adds to the effect that Thea started.
Alabaster moves quietly in the underbrush towards Malon and nudges him. He leans over and says something in Malon's ear, mostly about the situation he observed so far.
The corner of his mouth curls into a wolfish grin as he watches Thea's display with interest. "This is where the fun begins." He murmurs.
Very focused on the scene ahead and distracted by the rush of emotions from people around him, Malon notices Alabaster just in time not to startle again. He slightly frowns and whispers back.
"Hum, sure ... fun ... just hope it doesn't get us killed."
He follows his gaze, watching as the Gnome adds to the effort, and forces a weak smile, replying to Nico's question in the process.
"You know I'll help, but if there's a way to avoid a bloodbath I'd rather take it."
He keeps a careful eye on the situation, ready to act depending on the result.
"I mean this." Alabaster says back, cocking his head towards Thea, the slight figure of the elf standing in front of the two disgruntled groups. He grins, baring the two sharp point of his teeth, his amber eyes focused on Thea's radiating aura and her firm stance, illuminating the night camp. "How awesome is she?" He says in forced whisper, with the excitement and passion of someone who's just discovered some kind of new fire.
Malon slightly raises his eyebrows, realizing his misunderstanding. He observes the Elven (or Half-Elven ? He had too little contact with Elven folks to really tell the difference) woman, as the reflects of the flashes of light make his eyes strangely glow. Although he had the suspicion the Gnome played a part in it, he slowly nods and with a tight smile mutters :
Both Thea and Erbert make their presences known with a rather impressive display of magic. The sparks surrounding Thea's wrists seem to glow into a near-blinding supernova of sparks along with Erbert's addition - and, for but a moment, all heads turn towards the sight.
Most of the standard Imperial soldiers seem to take a step back in fear before leveling their spears towards Thea, for the moment forgetting the Wilderlings nearby. The Wilderlings, on the other hand, still scrabble for any weaponry which could be scavenged from the fallen Imperial soldiers and Wilderlings, though they seem far less concerned than the Imperials - perhaps explained by the magicless Imperials hearing tales of destructive and frightful magic from the Wilderness. Nearly all Imperials were devoid of magic, and - as with anything - the unknown is greatly feared. The main soldier, however, rolls his eyes and plants his shield in the ground, more annoyed with the turn of events than concerned.
Gaz, the Wood Elf from before, clocks the remaining Imperial soldier in the jaw before leveling his fists in a defensive position. He spits out a tooth and bares his teeth at Thea. "What's it look like? Blasted Imperials tricking us Wilderlings into-"
The more elite-looking Imperial general interrupts with a shout. "You mean taking out a terroristic organization harassing the Imperium and Zavas?"
Gaz sneers. "Yeah, right. If you pulled your head out of your Imperial ass for more than a second you'd see the horrors us Wilderlings have to go through each day, and you'll be strangled with your own intestines before I'm through with-"
"You see? I'm following orders. Now-"he turns to address the party- "step back and allow the law to be upheld. I wish for none to be injured - except this murderer, scoundrel, tyrant," he spits, "Whatever you call him, it won't be bad enough."
It is clear the situation has only been temporarily delayed by Thea's magic.
Being fully occupied with keeping her own emotions in check, Thea fails to notice the additions made to her illusion at first - a fortunate turn since it prevents her from being startled out of her act. Instead, she manages to nod a silent thanks to whoever had helped out, before focusing on the scene in front of her again. With every word of the conversation, her frown deepens and the look on her face darkens. Gaz's hostility is blatantly obvious, and if part of what the Imperial's leader says might be connected to the insights her earlier adventure led to discover. Nevertheless, its not easy for the soldiers words to penetrate the fury Thea feels at the sight of the Wilderlings corpses. Still in active combat with her emotions, she looks from Gaz to the soldiers, then back to the bodies on the ground.
Perception to see if any of the corpses bear visible signs that indicate them belonging to the Ochori: 10
She takes a moment to shift her part of the illusion, adjusting the array of light to settle and condense into the glow around her hands, before her eyes lock on the elite looking soldier. "You think its that easy to justify, walking into our homeland and dropping bodies?! You have no right to come here and slaughter our people! You're following orders? On behalf of the Zavas? Do they know you're out here murdering their kin? You don't get to bring your laws into our forests!"Theas words sound increasingly pressed as her pent-up rage seeps through, the last sentence barely more than a guttural growl - a sound quite unlike her otherwise elven voice.Feeling herself loose her grasp of the situation Thea halts, closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, before she looks up again. "If you truly wish for this to go peacefully, tell me - what are the crimes you claim these people have committed?"
While Thea and Erbert maintain a temporary ceasefire, of sorts, between the two groups, Iver decides to continue questioning the two new additions to the group. "Is this Gaz a friend of yours, or did you just see a group of Imperials and decided to call us to fight them? It's not a matter of whether I'll be joining a fight - shall one break out. It's a matter of what I'll be fighting for." He starts to get the feeling he's not in the right place.
Still hesitant to reveal himself, Malon takes deep breaths as the events unfold in front of his eyes. He had hoped for a peaceful resolution, yet it seemed that Thea was not the Imperium's best friend. The rush of anger, hatred, from the (half ?) Elven lady, from the Elf, gaz, and from the Imperium soldier. Dammit, Malon, you really need to learn to deal with that !
He listens with interest, curious, too, as to what the crimes of the Elf could be. Now, with both the Wilderlings and the Imperium soldiers holding weapons, the latter pointing them at Thea, he tenses even more.
"This is not going to end well ..." he mutters.
He turns to Iver, slightly frowns and looks at him sheepishly for a second.
"The Elf ... no-one I know, actually."
He turns over to Alabaster with a questioning gaze, but he remembers he just said "an Elf". Or does he know him somehow ?
"As to fighting, well I didn't want any of you to get involved but your companions wanted to follow. Now her friend - if she's your friend - has decided to act, and ..."
He stops, as he turns again to observe the woman, and the weapons pointed at her. Sure, there is still a chance they're not going to fight but ... otherwise ? What if her vindicative words trigger the soldiers' wrath ? She would be the first target.
"Now I won't try to convince you but I don't want to just watch her die."
With another deep breath, , he nocks an arrow with adrenaline-borne resolve. Barely believing it iself, he gets ready to release it towards what looks like the captain should the soldiers show any indication of attacking.
Alabaster watched intently as the scene unfolded stately before him, his blood surging, his heart racing, and everything around him seemed to slow down - the slight trembling of the land under people's shuffling steps, the sound of the wind touching the bushes, the earthworms turning the stones from the loose earth. Thea's magical light reflected in his brown eyes, pulsed and danced, igniting the same fire in his eyes.
"No, I don't know him."
He answered, his shoulders set, and his arms tensed, in a stance ready for battle charge. He grinned, baring his sharp teeth.
"I do not hold your weapon, halfling. Can't make the call for you."
Erbert pauses in the illusion around Thea, he looks at the leader of the Imperials and points his finger at him, sends him a message in his head. "You should leave here now before there is major bloodshed and all of you die. Leave now!"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
In the tension which follows, a seething Gaz still twists his mouth in a bloody smile as he only waits for the command to tear apart the Imperial soldiers. With the sudden change of events, the soldiers seem to somewhat tense, leveling their spears and similarly waiting on the command of their superior. The imperial general glances back and forth and, realizing all eyes are on his words, rolls his eyes.
"On behalf of the Imperium," he calls towards Thea. "Gaz is a known terrorist. He and his group assault imperial envoys - of civilians, too! - and slaughter them like pigs. I'm here to put an end to that." He snickers at Erbert's voice - and, coming to a decision, brings two fingers to his lips and whistles. "Guards! Tie Gaz up again. Kill him if you have to. Arrest the gnome and elf for interfering with an Imperial arrest."
At those words, Gaz rears his head backwards in a laugh - and without even bothering to pick up a weapon, charges the nearest Imperial soldier. The soldiers themselves gasp and partially turn towards the furious Gaz, spears leveled. Another third split off to take care of the now-moving Wilderlings, while a third begin to approach Thea and Erbert. The general patiently folds his arms and waits as bloodshed begins to erupt.

Wait, it's all messed up. As Iver runs forward, he has a moment to consider his actions. Who is he fighting here? He was ready to attack the terrorists, but then the Imperial soldiers are trying to arrest his companions. No, it's their fault for interfering. If they explain it later, he doubts anything will happen to them. Just a misunderstanding... right?
It seems like Gaz is the biggest threat here, and so Iver decides to deal with him before the others. He runs towards the man and slashes at him from behind. With a quick spin, he attacks twice - one with each of his scimitars - then another time with his left scimitar.
Action: Attack: 2+20 Damage: 8. (I thing he was hidden, so rolling with advantage. If not, use the first roll. The Bless bonus is included separately (because it messes with crits), before the d20 roll.)
BA: Off-Hand Attack. Attack: 1+26 Damage: 5.
Action Surge: Attack. Attack: 4+9 Damage: 8.
Forgot that Halflings can reroll ones, so rerolling for that attack. 22. If advantage applies, take that or 12, whichever is higher (or this if advantage doesn't apply, because the 1 appears first), +2 from Bless for the total.
((I remembered that Halflings have the ability to reroll 1s once, so I went and edited the post to add it at the end. That is usually fine, but it seems like the forums decided to reroll everything and tag it as manipulated. Sigh. If you hover with your cursor over the numbers, it should show you the original rolls, regardless of what it shows now. (Though, the second and third attacks oddly shows the new result instead.) So, the first attack was 2(Bless)+(1+5+7(rolled with advantage, with the +7 bonus) for a total of 12)=14. Since the d20 rolled a 1, as a Halfling, I get to reroll it once, which got me 15+7=22, +2 from Bless = 24. Damage was 5+5=10. The second attack was 2(Bless)+(12+7)=21. Damage was 1, as I remember. The third attack was 1(Bless)+(8+7)=17. Damage was 11 (6+5).
If you'd rather I just reroll everything, which is understandable, I'm including rerolls in the spoiler below (this time including the reroll 1s in the roll already so this doesn't happen again).))
Action: Attack: 3+19 Damage: 9. (I thing he was hidden, so rolling with advantage. If not, use the first roll. The Bless bonus is included separately (because it messes with crits), before the d20 roll.)

Thea - Initiative 11 - HP 12 - AC 12
Thea's head slumps ever so slightly at the generals command and his lie ofwanting to conduct things in a peaceful manner. At the same time, it meant that she could finally unleash the full extend of the emotion still turmoiling within her. She exhaled, the gesture halfway a sigh, then she looked up, locking eyes with the imperial commander. With the blessing of the Wilderling washing over her, she gave him the most cold, determined look she could manage. "If you truly wish to doom yourself, so be it."
Thea took a couple of steps back, enough to be able to use the shrubbery behind her as cover, then she let go of the illusion. The lights she was still controlling all faded at once. Instead, a white glowing shape reminiscent of an hourglass began to shine through from under her coat, lifting off the cloth ever so lightly. Thea extended her arms forwards, running through a series of motions with her hands as she went through the somatic succession to cast a spell.
Finishing the last movement, her hands clapped together as she shouted. "Feel the weight of your sins crushing down on you!" her voice breaking with the last word. There was no visible indication of any magic happening at first, no flashy visual effects, no cacophonous sounds. Until finally, a deep rumbling began to rise up from the center of where the soldiers were standing.
Action: Casting Magnify Gravity on the soldiers that went to rush at her (I guess since they go after Thea that would work? If not, she'll target the ones getting the closest to her.
CON save of 14 or take 11 force damage and have their movement halfed.
Movement: Moving away to the edge of the clearing, hopefully out of direct reach for the soldiers? Not ducking into the forest just yet, if possible.

"Blasted Imps." Alabaster sneers. "They think they could arrest people on our land?"
His hand reaches behind to grab his double-bladed scimitar in a swift motion. His strong thighs tense, his fur overcoat envelops his body and he leaps out of shrubbery in a shadow. As he lands, he instinctively reaches downwards, into the earth, where he draws his focus. He sends his fulcrum deep down into the ground, and the earth beneath his feet start to connect with him as he slashes at the Imp solider closest to him.
