(Nothing like taking an 8-12 hour long rest next to the entrance to baddie-habitat with a burning building/signal fire to keep us warm)

Clayton decides that he’ll call it a night. However, he does give some untrustful glares over in Shariel’s direction. He can’t quite place it, but there’s just something about her he doesn’t quite like. (Maybe it’s the frog god, not that he knows anything, because besides Maldrek, no one has told him their spirits.)
Haha no health potions. But that knee needs attending to. A long rest should provide time to set it, and maybe Slither could look at it. The bows of the yuan-ti are very nicely designed and intricate. Musharib offers to stand watch, lest anything in the night decides to...jump you all.
Remember to level up and tell me where you guys wanna go next.
(Crispy, I just took Dual-Wielder for my feat, don't make me regret it and take Alert now. If mechanically the bows are longbows instead of shortbows, Shariel will take one. As part of Dual Wielder, I don't need Light weapons for melee, but I have terrible strength, so if their swords have finesse, I'll take 2.)

OOC > Bree takes the feat [feat]Fade Away[/feat] and adds Shield and swaps in Mage Armor and gets rid of Sleep.
With the long rest, Tides of Chaos resets naturally, which I take to mean the effect of using Tides of Chaos in the battle, which would have caused a Wild Surge next time she cast a spell, dissipates naturally, too? No rule on that, so let me know, Crispy.

OOC: Ooor we could roll the dice and do it anyway! :D Bree, the embodiment of Chaos!
Slither looks over his companions and says hesitantly "I'm glad you all survived...for some reason, the thought of losing any of you...disturbs me, yes? It's more than just your value as protection or food, yes?"
With that, slither slices a thigh off one of the yuan ti for dinner.

Alrighty!
(Did I just get approval to add a longbow and 2 rapiers/comparable finesse 1d8 weapon to my inventory? :D)
Shariel swipes up 15gp and pockets them with the rest of her 50gp that she still does not know why she came into ownership of, but now never wants to give up.

As they're all settling down for the long rest, Yasei humbles herself in front of the group:
"Sorry for my chaotic and non-strategic actions in that battle. My snake god is named Kubazan, and although he gives me GREAT strength, he's also very wild and spirited, and pushes me to be fearless and take great risks. I'm finding it very difficult to control him, and for that, I apologize. The reward of being a polycephalic organism comes with very difficult side effects."
And with that, she slinks away to a quiet portion of area 1, and settles into her meditation pose. You notice that she spends an inordinate amount of time talking with her daisho.

From beneath his hat, Clayton responds, “Could he that you’ve gotten a bit attached to us, Mr. Slither. Getting your life saved by someone tends to endear them to you. In other words, you’ve grown a somewhat fond of us. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it. Why don’t you record it in your book? Maybe ‘The Love of a Lizardman,’ or ‘Crocodile Tears: How I Learned to Love.’”

As night grows deeper and you all settle in, Musharib begins to act a bit strange. He stands upright and becomes perfectly still, as if he is being controlled by someone else. His eyes turn completely white, as if possessed. He speaks in a voice the you all have heard before.
The Oracle of Orolunga.
"THE FORBIDDEN CITY
Omu was once a jewel in Chult's crown. Built over rich mineral veins, the city garnered wealth in great abundance. To enter Omu, it was said, was to enter the gates of paradise itself. Over time, such wealth brought greed. Omu's hunger for slaves made her rulers demand ever greater tribute from their neighbors. When their vassals couldn't pay pay in flesh, they paid in blood. Omu's feared legions marches across Chult. The Omuan's greed and hubris angered the god Ubtao, the Great God of Chult, causing him to turn his back on Omu two hundred years ago. Omu clerics lost their spells and the city fell to sickness and disease. Slave uprisings caused the nobles to flee, and never return. Fallen from grace, Omu became known as The Forbidden City."
Musharib snaps out of his trance, and sits back down, as if nothing had happened.

Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
