Back Story
Elon worked on the {vessel } for a few years now cleaning the deck even scraped a few barnacles in his time of service singing for the crew. He awoke to the sound of the sea rushing past the hull, his body covered in sheets used to bury men at sea he shivers remembering falling overboard, darkness taking him as the cool ocean water filled his lungs! Not knowing what has happened to him he panicked throwing the sheets off startling the person who was saying his last rites "I thought and everyone else thought you were dead" Elon replies "Aye I feel that way but I'm sill kicking. What happened?""One of the booms caught ya, we rescued you and tried to bring you back but you weren't breathing and your skin, your skin was cold to the touch" the man shivers " We thought you were dead and were going to send you off properly" Elon nods "Well, I thank you and the captn for that but I think I want to get back to work." hopping off the cot he was on, he notes the inside of the ship is better lit than usual as he heads back up to the upper decks gaining some astonished stares along the way. Later on he retired early rubbing his head finally feeling the bump on his head noting the crew quarters were brighter than usual but in a strange sort of way. shaking his head "That bloody boom must of hit me harder than I thought!"
As the night progressed he passed out from his exhaustion Then it rushes back to him in a dream the shadowy form of a Winged Elf invades his mind His eyes staring at him "I am Elliquose and I grant my boon to you" his eyes glow and Elon's heart slows his skin turns cold. Then he left as soon as he entered shaking its head, Elon could of sworn he heard "Why did I fall in love with a mortal? Now I have to watch over my clumsy child" When Elon woke all he could do was stare towards the sea the full moon dancing on the waves, tales of the sea and a venture to another land that his human mother Meloon told.
Soon he left the ship promising to return when they got into port found a new life playing for those Taverns for those who would give him coin. Learning thing songs and magic seemed to come naturally to him. He studied in the colleges of music and spells. He never knew his father. A longing nagged at him he wanted to know who Elliquose was.
Janzin is an explorer, more than anything else. He’s known for his talents in the wild, and his very offputting personality. Covered in tattoos, and a tendency to mumble recipes that sound like they might be for cannibals when he’s upset, only his reliability in strange lands has kept him employed.
He’s a mysterious Halfling. He’s never quite clear in his goals or manners.
He annoys his friends with his near deliberate efforts to obfuscate what’s happening.
He values old tribal fairy tales more than anything

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

In looking through everyone's characters, I realized that I didn't fully communicate my vision for the origin of this adventuring party. My description -- You and your friends are finally living out your dream of travel and adventure. After a few years of tedious work here and there, you have enough training and equipment to hit the road -- was intended to suggest that you all have known each other for at least a few years, if not your whole lives. I'm looking for some group cohesion here. I was also imagining a rather ordinary life up to this point, to give greater contrast to the adventures you are about to have. That's why I didn't ask for your backstory - I was okay with you not having a very flashy one. You all are a bunch of friends who are sick of the humdrum and have finally gathered enough resources and skill to leave your ordinary lives behind.
None of this necessarily negates any of your character descriptions. This is a collaborative effort, not simply my story. Undoubtably you all will make many choices that are different from what I would do or expect. But maybe we can set the origins of your adventuring party in a port city with nearby wilds. You may have traveled the seas, explored the wilds, or arrived from a distant land, but for the last several years, you have lived here in Seaside Harbor. Perhaps you have been earning a living with fishing or farming or singing for your supper. Or taking hunting groups out into the Birchwood Thicket. All the while, you have developed ties with each other that will support you as you face the unknown ahead of you.
Again, my main motivation is to have a strong, supportive group that wants to work together.
