"I like Gorgo," Alasse chimes in. "Although I know little of kobolds, he does seem to have a certain... self confidence with the strength to back it up." Looking around the town, she slides of Onyx and thanks the horse before saying, "I shall follow the kobold and make sure he isn't causing any issues. Plus I may be able to help soothe the wounded."
Upon entering the infirmary, Alasse asks the halfling who still needs aid before sitting by them and singing a soft soothing song of ancient forests that once grew. (Cure wounds on 2 more injured for 5 and 7
Responding to Lord Darcio Yes i will come with you. But we need to be prepared.
She looks back to where they came from. We were caught offguard once, it will not happen again. We need information and supplies first. Perhaps something to protect us from fire.
First she will speak with the local that greeted them. Do you know how many bandits we are dealing with? And if they wield magic?
The halfling is very pleased with what Gorgo and Alasse have done. "Thank you both so much, it is very appreciated. We need all the help we can get, so, again, thank you."
Darcio, based on your knowledge, you can tell that the bandits did not use magic in the fire, and they were quite well coordinated. You can also remember they used horses, which are not in the town, meaning they probably stole them. But in the commotion, it's still difficult to remember.
The local looks a bit overwhelmed from all the questions, but answers, "Not exactly, but I think probably six, maybe eight. They often wear cloths over their mouths, so it is hard to tell them apart. They use a lot of fire...but I don't think it's magic. I think they're fairly common folk without magic. They use...mechanisms of some kind. They flash and explode. Uses gunpowder or something...I'm not sure."
"Yes I have heard of such devices but I didn´t expect simple bandits being in possession of them. Let´s visit that trader, hopefully we will find something there to help us against the bandits." Lord Darcio says and walks over to the infirmary to collect Gorgo and Alasse, and then he continues to The Jovial Turtle Trading Society leaving Onyx outside.
The Jovial Turtle is a fairly large wooden building, which is better maintained than the others in town. It also doesn’t have any evidence of being hurt by bandits. Inside, there are wooden shelves stocked with assorted items. The trading society is almost full of items, but there isn’t currently any customers inside. At the end of the room, behind a desk, is a tortle, who, as the name would suggest, does seem quite jovial. He grins and says, “Welcome to the finest place to trade or buy in all of Widdlestow! Now, how can I help you folks today?”
Gorgo is still collecting himself after expending so much healing energy. He gives only a cursory glance at the items in stock before approaching the shopkeep. “Shelled Shopkeep, the associates of Gorgo have need of supplies. They will aid Gorgo in valiant battle but seek to prepare themselves first with your wares. Though your establishment appears unmolested by the honorless currs who plague this town, Gorgo would have you know he still expects you to support us in our righteous and glorious endeavor. Please charge them no more than you would any other heroes.” Persuasion8

"Yes thank you for that most clarifying introduction."Lord Darcio says smirking. "As Gorgo here stated our intentions are indeed to root out these bandits that has plagued your lovely little town good Sir. Now you seem to have managed to stay clear of these troubles, why do you think that is good Sir?" Lord Darcio says to the tortle more than a little suspicious of this circumstance.

The tortle seems a bit thrown off by the way Gorgo is speaking but quickly re-orients himself and nods. “I have every intention of offering the same prices I always do.” He looks at Darcio, and pauses for a moment before saying, “I am very thankful you’ve set out to root out those bandits, they’ve been causing trouble for some time now. I am very fortunate to have escaped their punishment for now, but I doubt it will last. My theory...is that they need us alive in some respect. They seem to need money, seeing as they’ve stolen almost all of ours, and they can’t get much more if they destroy all our stores and we all perish. Though, to be quite honest, I’m not entirely sure why they have not attacked me yet. I am practically the last decent trader left in this town.” As far as you can tell, he is being truthful.
"Yes, you might be right, good Sir." Not entirely satisfied with the tortles answer, Lord Darcio begins looking around the shop for anything unusual that could help with their task. (OOC: Is there any magic or other special items in the shop?)
You mostly find standard items, such as minor healing potions, net and rope, some small weapons, and more, but nothing specific jumps out at you as helpful for eliminating the bandits. You see a pile of necklaces, rings, and some other assorted jewelry that have jewels a bit nicer than you would expect for this town, but you can’t determine if they’re magical or not. The tortle watches Darcio. “Looking for anything in particular?”
"Well if you would have any special balm or anything else that might protect me and my associates from the fire devices employed by the bandits I would be most interested?" Lord Darcio says while casually trying on one of the finer rings in the tortles collection.
The tortle thinks for a few moments before saying, “Well, there may be a few things. We have some fire-proof leathers...if you wrap those on, they shouldn’t burn.” The tortle then walks over to one of the shelves and takes a small glass bottle. There is a liquid inside that has some hints of golden hues. “This is a bit pricey, but it is a liquid that can heal burns quickly. Pour it over a burn wound should worse come to worse, and you should be alright.”
Cyrillus, who has been wandering quietly through the shop looking through the wares approaches the tortle. "Do you have any items, other than healing potions, that could heal any injury? If I am not mistaken much of this group's healing capability has been depleted for now."

Gorgo looks at Cyrillus and hisses in assent. "Gorgo cannot speak for Alasse, but yes Gorgo's flame is but a warm glow in a dark cave - for now."
While the others browse and barter, Gorgo crouches against one of the walls and closes his eyes to gather his thoughts. He ponders this town and its people - and whether this is all another great test, or if this is merely an interlude before something greater. He considers his traveling companions and the roles they may be destined to play. But soon his mind wanders... the net for sale bringing thoughts of capturing one of the motherless scoundrels who attacked them, and traveling onward on his glorious quest, with the villain as a pet or harlequin jester, forced to watch Gorgo's march through history from a cage on the end of a long stick over Gorgo's mighty shoulder. Eyes closed, he clucks softly to himself as he waits for his friends to shop.

Lord Darcio examines the leather armour and the glass bottle. "Yes, these would certainly be in our interest to a aquire." He says to the tortle as he shows them to the others. "How much for them?" He asks the jovial shopkeeper but then he continues. "Good Sir, how would you feel about sponsoring our mission to take care of your bandit dilemma. It would certainly give the business a large amount of goodwill when the townsfolk hear of your contribution to our task." Alasse shakes her head at the question of her healing, "I have many more tales of heroism and of triumphs left to sing."
Sitting back as the group talks to the strange turtle man, she hums a soft, long forgotten prayer. She thinks of her home and of the shrine of her friend. How many hours had she spent sitting by those stones and singing along with the wind. That ancient being had told her so many stories of great heroes and villains, how could she live up to those tales?
Cyrillus, the tortle answers, “We have some rare herbs that can help stamina and basic wounds. Though, as you might be able to tell, we don’t get many herbs around here, so they’d cost you more gold than you may be willing to spend.” Darcio, the tortle seems unnaturally moved to comply with your suggestion, as he says, “Many people here do loathe those bandits. I would be one very popular tortle...” The tortle thinks for a moment about the sponsorship opportunity. “How about...as a form of sponsorship, I provide the flame liquid for free? The leathers will be 30 gold.”
"Splendid. Rest assured the bandits will be taken care of promptly and the townsfolk will know it was due to your most generous assistance good Sir."Lord Darcio says to the tortle. He then turns to the others. "Shall we conclude our business here? This bandit problem should be dealt with swiftly and decisively."
(OOC: Anyone interested in the leather? Perhaps Alasse, being our primary healer, wants to carry the flame liquid? I suggest we move on the mineshaft now. :-)
“Of course! Thank you for your truly kind attempts to rid our land of bandits! I wish you the best of luck, travelers! As far as my name, I am Yamblin, the Jovial Turtle!” The tortle says, wishing you all a farewell.
