"I think perhaps what the bandit is threatening us with is to fire that flaming arrow at explosives planted in the mineshaft to set off an explosion making the tunnel cave in. Remember they used these fiery explosives at the caravan earlier. We´d better not set off the explosives ourselves with any fire of our own. Would you agree brave Gorgo? Perhaps I can negotiate our way out of this predicament."Lord Darcio whispers to the kobold.
(OOC: Also the fire bolt has a range of 120´I think. 250´is really long away.)

"Ohhhhhhh..." Gorgo murmers and will drop the spell allowing the flame on his fingertips to dissipate. "But this is only way out for bandits, yes? In collapsing tunnel, Thief in Shadows dooms himself, yes?" He looks back at the tunnel from whence they came. "Or are there other pathways? Gorgo admits he was less then interested when viewing the map. Do bandits have other routes out? If so, do we have other routes to bandits?"
"If not..." Gorgo's scaly brows furrow, worrying over the complexity of the situation. Finally,"As much as Gorgo despises waiting, perhaps we... wait. Go back, collect gold for town. Become great heroes. Then Gorgo waits outside mine. Eventually, bandits get tired of eating rocks, come out for food, then smash them."
Despite proposing this idea, Gorgo squirms, obviously uncomfortable. To Gorgo, this is the opposite of valorous combat... more akin to sniping rats in a basket.

"I´m not sure the bandit will let us leave just like that Gorgo. Not while we have their gold at least. And I expect they have another exit regardless of what our map would tell us." Lord Darcio whispers to the kobold. Nevertheless Lord Darcio tries to discern if the bandit would maybe be bluffing about collapsing the tunnel. Insight:11
(OOC: I apologize for being confusing earlier. I don't believe I stated it correctly, but what I intended to say was that the entire party (led by Brilyn and Gorgo at the time) was 250 feet from the bandit, and the bandit themselves was 50 feet from the cave entrance, meaning the party as a whole was about 300 feet from the cave entrance. Again, apologies if this wasn't clear before.)
Darcio, the bandit does not have any idea of Azrael's presence or his flight (if that's still your intention, to fly Azrael. As I understood, there was some hesitation based on the length in between Azrael and the bandit, so I'm not sure if that's still happening or not). Also, as far as you are aware, the bandit is being very serious about collapsing the tunnel. To Darcio's earlier remarks, the bandit replies, "I assume you've killed the goblin, then? That'd be fine, he deserved it anyway." You can tell now, though, that the bandit feels less in control. "So, the gold...you have all of it?"
Gorgo has noticed the powdered sticks near the walls multiple times, but he hasn't totally been able to make the connection to what purpose they would serve yet. You're aware they would burn, but haven't entirely grasp they would lead to a bit of a more forceful explosion that normal wood.
Also, on the map, there were no clearly marked second exits or pathways, but the map also cuts off seemingly halfway through the main mining cavern, so there's no telling whether there are secret exits that have always been there or even ones built recently by the bandits.

"No, the goblin lives, as will you if you are sensible. And we do have your gold bandit, all of it." Lord Darcio continues the discussion with a firm and confident voice. Persuasion if needed:9
(OOC: No problem ZK, thanks for clearing it out for me. Azrael will continue forward, ready to try to stop the bandit if negotiations go south.)
Gorgo is bewildered. All his senses are telling him they have the bandits cornered, with Thief in Shadows making a desperate gambit to scare them off. However, Lord Darcio seems to suggest, in a way, that the party is the one that is trapped right now and that they are in great danger. None of this makes sense.
Gorgo will continue to puzzle out this bizarre situation while he waits to see what the others decide to do.

As Lord Darcio speaks with the bandit Brilyn will pick up all the powdered sticks as she passes them. And continues to move forward picking up more of them as they talk and if Lord Darcio moves closer as well.
Whispering to Lord Darcio We could offer them part of the gold if they leave.
Brilyn will be ready to use her magic if the bandit archer shoots an arrow.
Brilyn will use Misty Step if she sees the archer shoot an arrow. Using it to teleport back towards the goblin to her own safety and hopefully teleport the sticks away to avoid an explosion near the party.
"Well, we are here because the village can't survive with you here. I am sure there are other places you can go and ways of living that don't hurt others. If you leave then we have no cause for conflict," Alasse tries to say in a strong voice that comes out shakily. She will step forward if it looks like the archer won't shoot immediately.
The bandit seems to think for a moment. He then says to Alasse, "I'm afraid that won't be an option." Then, to Darcio, the bandit says, "But we can't bury the gold. Come forward. Into the main cave. There we can...discuss things." The bandit's hold on his arrow loosens, though he still keeps it aimed threateningly in case the party tries anything devious.
"You made a good choice bandit. We will now go into the main cave now and sort this out." Lord Darcio says confidently and starts walking showing his hands to not make the bandit nervous. "Come with me." He says to the others "No sudden movements." Azrael however waits close to the bandit, ready to interfere if the bandit tries something.
Gorgo touches the back of his hand to his forehead, wondering if he might be coming down with something. All of this feels backwards. Still, Lord Darcio seems a clever sort, so Gorgo dutifully follows along, hopeful that this is all some multi-stage master plan that will culminate with the stabbing of bandits.

Taking a cue from Darcio, Cyrillus lowers his bow and procedes forward. He is very unsure of the bandit's intent and will try and figure out how immediately the bandit might try and backstab them (Insight: 10 )
Cyrillus, as far as you can tell, the bandit is being honest in his intentions to speak with you. However, you get the sense that the bandit is confident, that if he would need to backstab you, he would be able to with ease.
The bandit eventually sets down his bow and throws his flaming arrow aside, stomping out the flame promptly as it hits the cold rock floor. The bandit backs up, and allows you all to enter the main cavern. It's very large. It appears to be naturally formed, and is incredibly tall. There are a few raised stone platforms and some sharp stalagmites scattered about the cavern. It is fairly well-lit, with plentiful torches and even what looks like some natural light toward the cavern's ceiling, though you can't tell exactly where it's coming from. There are some various mining tools laid about that look like they haven't been touched in a decade, and a few wooden tables with papers on them that seem newer. After you enter, you see seven figures slowly walking from the back of the cavern, still shrouded in shadow, but you can tell they are the remaining bandits.
(OOC: Apologies for the lack of posting lately, but I will be able to post more frequently now.)
As he enters the main cavern Lord Darcio studies his surroundings and opponents. "I´m impressed with your explosives, but I thought there were more of you?" Perception with help from the still invisible Azrael:11 to discern for instance how the bandits are armed.
(OOC: As this still might turn into a fight, is there a chance for a map or a closer description on positions and distances?)

Brilyn will place the powdered sticks down in the tunnel and move to the main cavern.
She will try to walk around a bit staying away from the bandits but not venturing to far 50ft at best from the group. Brilyn will keep a hand on her rapier that is sheathed at the moment.
Looking around she will try to see what the bandits are doing here. If it is simply a hideout or if there is something specific they are doing here.

As they enter the room, Cyrillus glances about the room for any possible traps that could be sprung (Perception: 21 ). He also whispers to Darcio. "Following your lead."
If he spots any traps he will also disclose what he knows of them to Darcio before he walks the opposite direction of Brilyn by about 25 feet.
As they walk into the larger cavern, Gorgo's belly growls audibly, and he realizes he cannot remember the last time he ate anything. He casually walks past the bandit, looking around the room to see if they have anything that looks like food. While he waits for Lord Darcio to sort out the terms of this fight, he will see about getting a snack. Perception 10 to see if they have any food laying around.
