Aleria is blind. i cant say im impressed with her at the moment.

So Kalina and anyone who got above 15 on their first perception roll notices a shadowy humaniod form(oh- if it shows up on the game log that aleria made a str saving throw ignore it, i was trying to hit a diffrent button) take up a position across the room. If youre over 20, you notice the shape holds a ready bow and is aiming it across the cavern but not at you. 

Above 15 on your second roll and you notice a serpantine form on the other side. if you saw the humaniods bow you notice that its aimed at the sepantine form. 

I cant do an encounter if it isnt in real time, so we have to wait until next time we play(which wont be next saturday because i dont think i'll be home from the temple trip by then. its a 4 hour drive each way and it will probably be about 2 hours while there. we can reschedule again or wait until the week after. 

If you saw the humaniod and not the snake thing and you want to approach her we can do that out of real time but if you do only take one action movement(shes about 100 feet away), so you can probably only get 30 feet closer before she reacts.

So in the future to avoid confusion im going to try to upload pictures of where everyone is.

So next week i have another church thing(completly seprate from this weeks), so we're rescheduling to next monday(october 11).

how do the two of you feel about doing dnd on zoom? I would have my camera off, but i think it would be easier to work out if we were activly talking, at least for the fights(im way better at roleplaying when its written. it could be optional tho, during fights we use zoom and during rp we either write and then read it aloud or say it). If you arent comfortable with that, ok, and if you dont want your camera on, also ok(mine will be off or i literally wouldnt be allowed).

I would put the link on the campaign and then change the link so no strangers could show up.

We would still use this forum and the campaign. 

so it turns out willow has a thing today that ends at 4, so theyll be a little late.

Tree Girl

Kalina woke up yawning and sat up. she glanced around and noticed a shadowy figure standing beyond the fyrelight. it held a drawn bow! but it wasnt pointed at the group. she followed the course of the arrow to a serpintine figure. (history check: 13) she didnt know what it was. she nudged Aleria and Vai, the two beside her(why not) and pointed out the figures subtly. (sleight of hand: 16, they dont notice). then she whispered that she was going to go talk to the humaniod. she stood and walked in the humanoids direction before they could stop her.

the humanoid released the arrow, which flew into the serpent behind them, then fog encircled her and she disappeared. the arrow just barely hits and deals 8 damage. Roll initive.

k turns out im impatiant and its time to trim the fat. the character destiny marked(destiny marked... hm i wonder what the initials ate) will soon fall. prepare to get an awesome monk probably by the end of next session! i might have spilled to much to willow, they might have already guessed who. 

and should my first attempt at this characters life fail, i have a backup failsafe!

you are completly guarenteed to lose someone very soon and i should not be as happy about that as i am(do i need to see a thera- oh, right, my short story. yes i difinitly need to see a therapist considering what im about to put those characters thru. its weirdly fun to torture my characters... tho this might be my cruelest idea, worse than death note or final note or what other note stories did i have? hey, vias story wasnt titled note it was titled the last witch and she killed herself with a violin!(its not entirly as weird as it sounds! but death note also ended in a musical intrument related death- hey both deaths were to save the world at the hands of a musical intrument! weird... and final note had nothing to do with an instument but aria probably ended up strangling on headphone cords- did i just go on another meaningless rant about my stories that im guarenteed not to edit out bc lazy even tho nobody would get it and both stories are- hey i wonder if i can have mairi die if i have her piano fall on her? nah, itd be crueler to let her live- what is wrong with me?)

did you just forget to come last friday or did something happen? i would really rather be aware so i can plan for it in the future or something.

also, next week theres another church thing, a stake dance(again?), and i have an excuse not to go bc 3 dnd games! huzzah! not that i dont like stake dances, i just dont like dances, esspeacilly those spent trying to hide in the hallways while simaltaniously cope with boredom and have inner war between my extrovert and introcvert side and inevitably be misrable whether im in the dance room or the hall. so thank you for being an excuse not to socailize!
