Petra will take her own room, so at least 2.

Rex sees Petra and corrects himself: "Three rooms then. On the Crown." and he places three golden Galifar's on the counter, about eye- level to him.

Serandis is ready for rest. She will wait until the rooms are paid for and ask, “Citron, you’re with me?”

Ok, assuming that's 3 then.

You all successfully make it to your rooms and LR. The next morning, you head down to get breakfast and discuss the plan. What's your next move?

Serandis will eat her breakfast and asks of Rex, "So, what is all this? We've waited long enough for some answers." She says as kindly as she can. She just wants to hear his story. And after last night, she needed some kind of normal. 

Rex looks at Serandis, with a bit of confusion in his eyes: "What you mean by all this? I'm 4 foot 8 and 230 pounds of dwarvish stock, here on the king's orders, trying to make good for some of the things the war brought about. No, actually, scratch that, some of the decisions I made. I have to take responsibility for that." The last part seemed to be mostly directed to himself. "I want to help with the process of rebuilding the nation, and working with the king seemed like a good way to do that- even more so since it led me to you and you seem to want to follow a similar goal, from what I can tell."

"I don't know, rebuilding a nation is a lot of work. And honestly, Citron and I were just passing through before events took us. We teamed up with Petra and Liza, barely scraped away with our lives a few times as you can see. I do want to see security come to these lands. I can agree with you on that at least, but for playing my part in rebuilding a nation... I don't know if that is me." Serandis was being truthful, the thought of helping this nation find itself seemed to be way out of her wheelhouse of expertise. "And this King, I have heard of him spoken of in reverence. But I know nothing about him. Who is he and how have you come to work with him?" 

"Honestly, nobody is by themselves. A nation can only heal through communication and collaboration of its people. Ordinary people, like yourself, willing to move on and do what they can to set things right. It stars by helping a single family back on their feet, or improving the lot of a village. With prosperity, hope can return. As far as me working for the king- I sought him out after the war, wanted to use my hands to build, rather than destroy."

As you're all talking about the king and Rex and the country, the door opens, and three men in black splint armor with the red blood drop symbol of the Blood of Vol emblazoned on the chest march in. Their eyes immediately fasten on you, and they walk over, their voices firm but not threatening. “Excuse me. Your presence is requested at the Crimson Monastery by Priest Torvos. He wishes to speak to you about a matter of grave importance.” They glance around the room. “We can’t say more here. Please, follow us.”

 "Sure thing!" Serandis was trusting of these armored figures.

Rex sighs: "I was looking forward to some rest first. Is the matter urgent, besides being important? Because in my current state, weary from my travels, I might not make the most attentive of guests. While I hate to have Priest Torvos wait, we could all use an opportunity to freshen up, decorum simply demands it. I'm sure we'd be happy to join your priest for brunch tomorrow morning."

"It is urgent," the guard says simply.

Rex:

Rex carefully plants his lead foot to distribute his weight equally, and raising his hand to his elbow as if to support his other arm stroking his chin, carefully drops into a defensive stance. 

"You should have led with that. And who, pray tell, might you be, in case your master should inquire?"

"Sergeant Havos. Please follow us." The guard looks at the rest of the party.

Rex: The innkeeper definitely noticed you getting into a defensive position and is giving you a very nervous "Don't you start a fight with the authorities in my inn" look.

“They want us to go, we should go. The church has been nothing but kind to us.” Serandis says as casual as she can, even though deep down she has her reservations about the Blood of Vol, they were starting to grow on her. 

"We are not going, because I do not believe that you are who you say you are. If you could provide us with some proof that you are with the Blood of Vol, I'd be happy to go with you."

The guard taps his breastplate sigil. "Right here, that's the Blood of Vol symbol. This is rather urgent, if we could stop wasting time and go."

"If you're sure Petra, then I will stay as well. You haven't strung me wrong yet, friend." Serandis says to Petra before saying to the men, "I am sorry, we have been through some situations. And if my friend doesn't trust you, we don't trust you. Though you have a  very trusting face, toots."

"First of all, a symbol tells me nothing except that you know how to dress yourselves. For all I know, the actual owners of those uniforms are dead or receiving the court martial of a lifetime because they let you steal their uniforms. Second, the fact that you so very clearly want us to come with you, but can't be bothered to give us the tiniest bit of information on why makes you more suspicious, not less. Anyone that doesn't have a steaming pile of shit for brains should be able to understand that."

Petra takes a seat and props her feet up on the table. "Now if you could give us an actual explanation on why we need to leave with you, that might help us trust that you are who you say you are"
