PM's fire bolt impacts on the wall to the right of the rune, scorching it a bit.

As the dog enters the room, the dog takes 6 necrotic damage.

Unless Stitch vacates the room, he takes another 3 necrotic damage.

Once Stitch leaves the hallway, Case quickly calls his dog back.  "So...it's 70 feet away...and still active. And resistant to....scorching next to it. Perhaps PM, try once again?"

Stitch would leave the hallway after being hurt. 

     The dragon spits fire down the hall once more and pauses to see if there is a reaction before looking to the others and suggesting "...perhaps more physical long ranged attacks could damage it?"

This time, PM successfully hits the rune and sears a long line down it. It flickers a bit.

Case nods, "Again."

Jax shrugs and rolls his bedroll-wrapped hammer into the hallway through the open door and steps back, giving Case a “mission accomplished” half salute.

     Following orders, PM rears back, take in a big gulp of air and shoot forth a puff of smoke...?

     "...errr...."  PM looks from side to side to see if anyone notices and then quickly attempts [spell]Fire Bolt[/spell[ again before anyone notices the little... hiccup.

     Hovering in place, taking a deep breath, Pieste Mor rears back before shooting his head forward and unleashing a big blob of... smoke again.

     "...seriously...  this has never happened to me before...  not me!  sure, sure, they say it happens to everyone from time to time but moi??  never!" PM says as hurriedly as he can.  "...maybe... maybe just give me a minute huh?  maybe I'm just over tired..."

Case crosses his arms at the burping dragon. He glances around the group, "I....have no bow. Does anyone else?"

Drego steps forward, pulling his crossbow out and squeezing off three quick shots down the hallway at the Rune

Ummm that's a whacky post and I see four attacks lol. Fortunately, the first three're sufficient.

Drego's bolts hit the rune hard enough to crack its center, and it flickers one last time before going dark.

Nothing happens to Jax's bedroll-wrapped hammer.

Robin waits a moment, seeing the rune crack. "Case, can you send your companion in again?" She asks.

Jax frowns at the hammer-ball. "It did not work," he says to Case. He looks inside the room, and listens for anything at all. Perception: 12

Jax does not hear anything inside the room.

Case turns to regard Jax. He stands there, glancing between the man and the wrapped up hammer. Back and forth, back and forth. "I must apologize Jax. I do not know why you did that."  He points to the hammer ball. 

While he does that, he makes a "kst kst" noise and a motion, and the metal dog glances at him with a look of betrayal, before trotting casually into the passage.

The doggie does not get rune zapped.

     Well since the metal toy is not attacked it must be safe, thus PM flies into the room and down towards the set of double doors...

PM is also not zapped as he goes in.

Jax follows, looking at the walls as he goes.

Case shrugs at the unanswered question as Jax walks by. Though...a shrug seems the wrong response. Either way, he follows the rest of the group down the hallway.
