What's the difference between a Wizard and a Sorcerer? Class.
Pieste Mor draws back a bit in surprise, effectively hovering mid-air. Disappointed that he doesn’t get a snack after all. “… you don’t look nearly as tastey as the mouse did…” the dragon points out. “… though even more suspicious now… “
The dragon is quite happy to talk here, with the intruder perched upon a sill, and stays ready for more action… but doesn’t push things while the others set into motion.
Drego has been content to follow the rest of the party, taking his turn at watch, waiting for the divination to be completed, but as the mouse turns into the recognizable figure of the elvish druid, he springs back to life. Weapon out, he moves to create space and block off the approach to where the town elder was completing their ritual.
So far these elves had been kindly to Stitch, may have poisoned his comrades, and definitely attacked a town elder in broad daylight. There were unpredictable at best and a deadly threat at worst. He wouldn't be taken unawares by them again.
(A note: Vorik isn't doing the divination now--he can't until he's LRed tonight and reprepared his spells. This is just some nonmagical praying)
OOC: Assuming you guys are letting her in, as that seemed to be the general consensus.
After the window is opened, Shaehas ducks in, leaving it open behind her so that PM and the automaton can come in. She leans against the wall next to it, her face serenely calm despite being alone against six armed individuals. You do see her silvery sickle, but it's sheathed at her side, her folded arms keeping her hands away from it. "Greetings," she says calmly. "Azael sent me to try and convince you to help us. Or at least stay out of this. We have business here, and we would rather not needlessly harm innocents to get it done."
"I am truly sorry." Robin says with a frown. "In this instance our beliefs are at odds with yours. We will not stand aside and allow you to harm an elder of this town, regardless if that elder is undead or not."
Drego lowers his weapon just a bit, but keeps it trained in the elf's direction. He nods as Robin speaks 'Or allow for murder in the streets in the middle of the day. I mean, c'mon show a little professionalism!'
"We chose the time most likely to minimize casualties," Shaehas says simply. "The mummy spends the evening in the temple, where there are living around it. At mid-morning, it is no longer in the temple, and the people here are about their business. We harbor no illusions that the locals would try to stop us, and likely be hurt in the process. So we chose to find a time to attack when the mummy was alone, minimizing both the opposition and the collateral damage. I find that far more professional than ascribing to some general notion of the stereotype of when one should attack." She folds her hands. "Putting aside the question of why you would choose to defend one draining the life of Eberron--I know that many on this continent do not understand the dangers of Mabaran undead--do your beliefs also call for you to defend one allied with a faction as abhorrently violent as the Order of the Emerald Claw?"
Case stands up straight regarding the woman, "Your justification for your assassination attempt does not make your mission or your methods honorable. The people here have chosen this leader. This country is not the domain of your government. Go back to where you came from and stop inflicting your beliefs on others using violence."

"These people see you, and yours, as evil and little more than devil spawn." Robin tells the woman with a frank look of her emerald eyes. "You view their leaders in the same light. Should they instead attempt to kill every one of you, in your own homeland, just because they despise you and your goals?" She shakes her head. "We will not convince you of anything, and we have stated our place here. If you continue to attempt to murder an elected leader of this place, then we will stop you."
Pieste Mor would wait just long enough to catch only Shaehas in the spell, if possible, and then cast Faerie Fire upon them. ((DC 13 Dex save.))
“…please drop all weapons to the ground,” the dragon says. “… you have attacked a leader of this land, it is the authorities here you need convince, not us.”
The dragon readies their next attack, not expecting compliance…
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(OOC: Everyone knows the info about the Order of the Emerald Claw present in the Player's Guide. Basically that they're a necromancy-using terrorist's organization, though you can feel free to check the guide for more details. With his History, Jax would further remember that it was a Seeker chivalric order formed at the start of the Last War to serve as Karrnathi special forces, but after Kaius III broke ties with the BoV, they went totally off the rails and starting doing terrorist things. Seekers do not like the bad name they give the BoV.
Also--while Khorvairans (especially Seekers) might think of Aereni as overbearing, arrogant, and patronizing, evil doesn't really make an appearance on that list. Honestly, most Khorvairans barely think about Aerenal at all, except "the fancy magic island where a bunch of elves live". Robin's statement still stands for her point, I just wanted to clarify)
Shaehas Dex ST: 11
Shaehas gives PM an irritated, borderline withering look as the light settles around her form. "Dragons," she mutters with irritation under her breath in Elvish. "Always trying to bully their way to winning." She does not touch her sickle, either to draw it or drop it. Louder and in Common, she says icily, both to PM and the group at large, "This is not a question of politics, it is a question of the health of the very world we live in. And even then, we are not simply killing it due to its draining of Eberron's life--a draining I can feel even now. It is allied with a group that has unleashed undeath and terror on the people of this continent. A group that your governments want gone as well." Her eyes narrow. "You have no reason to defend the mummy, you had not even met it before this morning. We have no desire to go through you--but we will if we must. So I ask you one more time, to at least stand aside and let us cleanse this evil from Eberron." Around her feet, small sprouts spring up, twisting as if in a wind to match her agitation.
Shaehas is not attacking or rolling initiative. She is Readying an action if she is attacked, but is not planning on starting combat. So if you're attacking, you can just do it :D
Pieste Mor would pull back for a moment and then thrust their maw forward and release a blast of [spell]Scorching Ray;Molten Spittle[/spell0 at Shaehas, wanting to drop her before her Grasping Weeds of Death grow to full graspy deathness...
Scorching Ray 1 Attack: 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
You went outside, so there's not really anything to go up on, unless you wanna climb onto a windowsill.
Only PM's second ray hits, and Shaehas examines the new scorch mark on her arm dispassionately. "Very well--I will see you on the field of battle. But this is not such a time." She dissolves into a flare of green light that sinks into the sprouts at her feet, then vanishes.
"Guess that answers the question on if they are still going to try to finish off the mummy." Robin says once the elf has left. "Why do you think they are so bent on taking out this particular undead? Is there something we do not know going on, is this mummy in league with those we destroyed before?" She looks to her companions. "Maybe we should consider if this mummy is actually a friend, or if they are something else entirely."

Jax either climbs up or down to the window, or will approach her if she descends. He wants to hear what they have to say.
"Very well, but let us have her come to us, so we don't leave the chapel unprotected." Robin says with a frown.
