Case walks back downstairs. "The elves are not in their room. Why would someone attempt to poison us? And then, once partially successful, take no action? Unless their actions were to merely delay or slow us down while they took that time for some other nefarious purpose. I can not see an immediate pattern that makes sense, but I suggest we head out into town and look around for trouble."

“… not entirely myself quite yet… but more than my head still being a bit woozy I think I may be more concerned about this…” Pieste Mor displays their fingers/claws for the others to see. “…the dark streaks, to me, suggest it may be something I touched rather than ate? Robin, how are your hands?”
Jax looks at his own hands. "I suspect them. Just a feeling."He looks up, gives a clean rag to PM to dry themself with, and rises to go outside. He steps just outside and looks for anyone who might be watching for a collapsing group of travelers exiting the inn. Anyone they might have missed before.
Drego continues to stand in the center of the tavern, agitated and looking for a target for his ire and fear. As PM comes to and begins talking and as Case and Jax return and update the party, he begins to relax. A deep breath, and the blade and bow slide back home. Turning to the barkeep the ranger nods his head respectfully 'My apologies for our aprubt entry and my rudeness, you can imagine our fear and concern as they dropped to the street on your doorstep.' Even as he finishes his apology, he hears PM talking about the possibility it was something he touched, and the ranger immediately thought of the plates. Focusing on the barkeep, but keeping his weapons holstered, 'Who prepared our meals? Who could have touched or prepared our dishes before they came out?'
Yes, we will assume Robin has had water dumped on her at this point and is awake (if damp).
The barkeep shrugs. "I made the food, the goblin--Stitch, was it?--and the elf with the silver gloves helped me get it out to everyone. I'm not used to having so many people here at once, the elf offered a hand and your goblin friend joined him."
With her red hair plastered to her back, Robin sits in one of the chairs, drying her face with a towel she borrowed from the inn staff. "The elf withthe the silver hand you say..." She comments with a frown. "And you say Stitch helped as well?" She glances over to the goblin. "Did you help carry the plates?"
With the elves gone and not expecting to hear anything except a single phrase from the goblin, Case goes and stands by the door. "This is a mystery, but not all mysteries can be solved. I recommend we continue our journey and not let this strange event stop us. It was minimally effective and only cost us a few minutes of confusion. We have a very important mission."

"Likely the truth." Robin says with a glance to the warforge. She sighs, handing the damp towel back. "Likely going to get wet as we walk onward anyway, so guess I don't need to get completely dry just now." She moves to join Case at the door.
Pieste Mor looks around, warily. Til this point the dragon had seemed confident in the group and their ability to get to the bottom of things but now...
"...so we're ignoring the fact that two of us living creature were somehow poisoned because the mechanical contraption wants to keep moving... riiiiiiight, ok...." PM says, eyes slitted. PM will stay with Jax and not council against leaving the party but they are clearly uncomfortable with the sweeping of this incident under the rug. "... the automaton clearly has our best interests at... well, no heart.... but something..."
Case looks to PM, "I apologize if you take fault with my reason. It seems that this situation warrants more investigation, if at minimum to assuage your concerns. Emotions are a strong driver for and valid reason for decision making. I will examine the dishes." He leaves the door and walks past the inn keeper into the back to go look for the breakfast dishes and examine them more closely (without touching, poisons can still damage a warforged).

Case: You find some dishes the innkeeper hasn't washed yet. Sure enough, on the utensils, there are some streaks of dark stuff on the underside, where they wouldn't have been spotted unless they were turned over and carefully examined.
"...hmmm, such an odd being... they desire to press on blindly despite dangers but quickly flip flop and run off to a different errand entirely when called out on it... this shall need noting and further prodding to see if it is a consistent behavior..."
((Really fine with continuing on. Not every side quest need taking...))
"So, do you have any explanation as to how that got on the silverware?" Robin asks as she learns of the substance from Case. She would have followed him back to the kitchen to aid in his investigations. She aims her quiery at the inkeep, or any staff in the kitchen area. Glancing to Stitch she asks, "Don't think you answered my question on if you aided in carrying out the plates..." She quickly adds in, "I don't think you did anything, but I am curious if the innkeep saw you, or simply saw someone who he thought was you..."
