As Case… suspected with be the case, Stitch replies to Drego looking rather ashamed of himself with a very familiar, “I am Stitch.” Indicating that he did in fact help bring out the dishes. He elaborates a bit further and pulls out his two shiny rocks to indicate that he did, in fact, enter in too their room during the night.
Fearing retribution and anger from a few of the others he then hides near Drego’s ankles.
(I assume they are still shiny. But given what I know about how they were ‘made’ Stitch would be very sad and likely burst into tears if they are no longer shiny)
“…so you stole some shiny things and they caught you and made you help serve breakfast?” Pieste Mor asks, confused. “… surely you didn’t know the plates were tampered with?”
Stitch is delighted to see that his shiny rocks are in fact still shiny. He quickly stows them back in his pouch. Delivering his standard three word phrase multiple times he relays to Drego the events of the previous evening and that he simply wanted to help them with serving breakfast this morning.
Thinking back on the conversation he had with Liraes during the night Stitch doesn’t recall where they said they were going. Only that they were far from home and they were stuck with limited resources… whatever that means. Stitch has never had much in the way of possessions.
(A rapid summary of Stitch's nightly adventures: Stitch broke into their room, ran into an awake Liraes, pointed out the ease of his being able to break in, and was informed they were working with what limited resources they had far from home. He then met a metal doggy under a bed, greeted said doggy, and got a second shiny rock off of Liraes before leaving the room and going back to bed)
Case listens to the exchange, "These elves are most suspect in the poisoning then. Shall we explore the town seeking them out? Perhaps others have seen where they went."

The barkeep shrugs. "I thought they were still upstairs," he says bluntly. "They certainly never left through here. And they never gave out any details about their destination--just said they were here to see the sights of Karrnath, different as it was from their home."
"Unless we wish to cause more trouble here for the good inkeep, I suggest we move on from here." Robin suggests. "We can ask around town, to see if anyone has seen them, and, if we don't find anything, we can always keep an eye out for them as we move onward."
'Oh, Stitch, sweet love of all thats.....' Drego drops down and looks the little Gobbo in the eyes, grabbing both of his arms firmly 'We've talked about this. Taking shinies is going to get you killed little one. It almost got Robin and PM killed today. I'm really disappointed in you.'
Standing back up the ranger, weapons now holstered, approaches the barkeep and bows his head in a posture of formal apology and submission. 'I have offended you with my conduct dear sir, and humbly ask your forgiveness for my brutish and rash behavior'. He remains in place, head lowered, hands in front in supplication, waiting for a response from the barkeep.
Stitch explains further that all he did was pick the lock, like he did at the church and he asked for another shiny rock. Surely that wasn’t enough for the elves to try and poison anyone… right? Though he does look a bit ashamed at the realization that what happened could be his fault.
“…elves only clue but we are still unsure they are guilty party… if Stitch could carry plates unawares do could they… or perhaps just most of they,” PM suggests. “… could be a personal issue totally unconnected to our Stitch…”
"I would guess Stich's nightly escapades are not overly related to this mornings attempt to poison us." Robin says with a smile for the goblin. "If they were angry at him, they would have dealt with him last night, and why poison the rest of us over a single individuals actions?" She shrugs. "Regardless, I still think our next item would be to see if anyone in the town saw the elfs leave. If they did not, then at least we can keep an eye out for them as we head onward."
Case looks to PM, "Yes, you are correct, we can not be sure the elves are the guilty party. However they were the only others here, and they've left via the back door without saying goodbye to the inn keeper. These are strong indicators they are to blame. Either way, let us walk about the city and see if anyone saw them today. We should start out back where they would have left from." Case will head back upstairs and out any back door they could have departed from, and will look for obvious paths for them to have gone from there and begin asking people he sees if they have seen the elves, describing them in good detail.

There is no back door out of the inn. There is, however, an open window in the elves' room.
For anyone investigating the town to find word of the elves, please roll me an Investigation.
