After the goblin leaves, Keashirryl takes a deep breath and gathers her thoughts.
"I'm about as ready as I can get. Though I am not quite sure if I can cast much more today. I might still heal one person if things get tough, and we seem to be doing fine so far, but that is... quite limited." she answers to Oppleby and looks at the others both to learn their answers and to see if anyone is doing particularly poorly.
"Well I say we move in cautiously now and retreat if we must, but I can´t leave Gundren with those goblins longer than absolutely necessary." Oppleby says, clearly eager to save his friend.
There is a stream that leads into the cave, you can see two cut outs to the sides, one to the left and one to the right. You can continue straight, go to either side, or something else. 4
Oppleby quickly produces what seems to be some sort of compass, with an unclear purpose. "Hm, let´s see..." He mumbles. (1-2 left 3-4 forward 5-6 right 5) "...according to my tracker Gundren should be straight ahead somewhere." Oppleby says and puts the gizmo back in one of his many pockets again. He tries to be as stealthy as possible in his scale mail. Stealth:9 And has a lookout for ambushes. Perception:8 with darkvision 60´.

"So, um... I can't see in the dark," Paul offers sheepishly. He follows the others, keeping a hand on the shoulder of whomever is in front of to guide him. He will try his best to be quiet as he's not providing much other help at the moment. Stealth 16

"Well that we can remedy, human." Oppleby says and produces a weird torch looking stick that lights up with a greenish flame as he gently smacks it against the wall of cave, and then hands it over to Salty Paul.
(OOC: It´s a plain torch, but it has to be weird in some way for Oppleby to carry it around. Marching order is still: Promise, Keashirryl, Salty Paul, Oppleby right? :-)

Keashirryl nods, showing her agreement, and follows Promise, trying to keep as stealthy as possible, putting one feet after the other slowly and cautiously. Stealth: 3
"Well" she murmurs "I better say it before we fall into a trap or get murdered, I suppose. We were taking unneccessary risk with that goblin. It would have been easier to kill him in combat, it was a foolish thing to initiate conversation. What I mean is, I acted on a whim and it showed in my actions; and I appreciate how you all supported my plan despite of it being...hazardous at best."
Saying this, Keashirryl clears her throat and looks away, scrutinizing the path ahead, as if it was the most interesting sight she had ever seen.
"Ah, don´t be so hard on yourself Keashirryl..." Oppleby whispers from the back. "...we got some good answers out of it and even I wouldn´t be comfortable with killing an unarmed prisoner. I think it was the last we will ever see of that particular goblin though."
You make your way into the cave along a small path to the right of the stream. As you pass the first opening you hear the sounds of canines snapping and growling in your direction. Ahead, the main passage begins to swiftly climb upwards, the stream plunging and splashing down and to the left, a dark passage winds up. Above the stream a bit beyond, those with darkvision see a rickety old wooden bridge.
Oppleby moves on cautiously, studying the rickety old bridge, thinking how he would have made it better, like a steam engine powered drawbridge, yes that would have been perfect. He hasn´t forgotten Gundren though and is still being wary of another goblin ambush, possibly from that bridge.
(OOC: Tell me if you need new rolls for stealth and perception, but I was hoping to keep Opplebys rolls until they are needed ;-) Is there some way to get up on that bridge. What seems to be its purpose? Just a lookout point?)
Salty Paul gladly accepts the torch, allowing him to see at least their immediate surroundings.
Though as they creep deeper into the cave, something occurs to him. "Say gang," he whispers, "Isn't all this sneaking around quiet-like kinda less effective if I am carrying a lit torch into a dark cave?"

"There´s no pleasing some people." Oppleby whispers to Salty Paul, a hint of irritation, grabs the torch, puts it out and back into his pack. "Better now." He whispers as complete darkness surronds the human.
(OOC: Yeah, Salty Paul may be right, Oppleby will give him back the torch when needed ;-)
The tiefling woman just gently grunts at the reassuring words. Then, hearing the two man conversing, she lets out a faint, throaty sound almost reminiscent of a chuckle. "You know, I can dim that light" she murmurs. Next time someone lights a torch, she will remember to keep a low profile and use thaumaturgy to dim the light, and recast as soon as needed. She also takes a moment to inform Paul of what is visible ahead.
(OOC: I would support going up the bridge if possible, it seems to be a good vantage point.)
The bridge seems to be connecting a path above you. The stream is going upwards and curving to the right, probably up to one side of the bridge. Towards area 7 on the map.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Ach, lookout!" Oppleby says and fires a potshot at the goblin with his Blazooka. Firebolt:18 Damage:4 "Were sitting ducks in this tunnel, fall back." He then says and scurries back entering the western tunnel (4).
