The sphinx's lips curl back further as it emits a low growl.
"I grow tired of tricks and riddles. If you seek passage past me, you will not find it. I smell gold on you, kitten...and lots of it. Empty your pockets before me. Leave that beautiful sword here as well, and I will consider allowing you to use my portal," it says.

Garu smiles, exposing her teeth broadly. “I had every hoped to handle this peacefully as I am, at my heart, an optimist. However, there will no gold or sword at your feet today.”, she says while moving her hands over her holy symbol.
The silvery beam crashes down onto the sphinx, which shifts strangely beneath the radiant energy. Its instinctual roar is cut short as it contorts slightly, half of its body seeming to leap toward Garu, with the other half remaining in place. Aisha's readied shot quickly reveals the illusion for what it is, passing harmlessly through without slowing.
"Hey, watch it!" a high-pitched, irritated voice calls out from inside the cavern.
"Aww, come on! Who in their right mind would attack a sphinx?" another shouts out from Garu's left.
More of the slight voices bicker between one another as the sources reveal themselves, emerging from the forest on all sides: Tiny sprites, with wings like dragonflies.
"We could have kept it going! She'd have run if we just kept attacking!"
"She was already fighting it, you idiot! What were we gonna do, pass through her to death?"
Dozens of the creatures fill the clearing, still arguing amongst one another while one hovers near Aisha, Harmony, and T'savi's hiding spots. "You can come out, we saw you hide."
Garu grits her teeth in anger, drawing in a deep breath then letting it out. As she gets a sense of the scam being perpetrated, she looks at the creatures, her face changing from anger to one of levity and she chortles a bit.
"You rascals could have bought your own demise. Are you what has been terrorizing the satyrs?"

Harmony had been watching, very surprised as the sphinx had actually been an illusion. Then she saw all the sprites, seeing the one near them who had seen them hide. "That's not nice to scare the satyrs though. Why did you not want the Satyrs or anyone to come use the portal?" Harmony had said back to the sprites.
Aisha seems relieved and frustrated at the same time. Closing her eyes to take a breath. Good for you. We do nyot have time for your antics. You will die, as well as all of us, if we do not get through this 'porrter. Aisha is tired of rrrepeating it all but fate passed onto us (against our wills) to kill things trying to kill us all. If you wish to prrrank th satyrs, instead of doing something they think will kill them, Aisha has come to find that they get particularly frustrated if you try to steal their arrows. So let us pass... please. And you can prrrank the satyrs by hiding their arrows in 'annoying' locations.
Garu stifles a chuckle listening to Aisha's growing frustration then sighs in agreement with Aisha's assessment. She looks over to the sprites expectantly.
Shrugging at Harmony, a sprite answers simply, "No reason."
They gather in a huddle near the entrance of the cave after hearing Aisha's assessment, their high-pitched voices peeping occasionally over the breeze. After a moment, they send a few messengers back toward the party.
"No fair trade."
"Give us something better in return and we'll let you go through."
Garu looks around at her mates, beckoning for them to join her in discussion. She reaches in her pack and draws out a Scroll of Owlbear Summoning. She looks at her companions and states, “This is the least boring thing I can part with. Any other suggestions or are we taking peace off the table?”

Harmony sighed, hearing that they were just doing this for no reason. Then she heard them ask for something better in return that isn't boring, thinking as she smiled. "I know. How about I do a performance for you all? I can guarantee that it will not be boring in the least bit!" Harmony had said back to them, grinning.
The sprites whir with excitement, flitting and fluttering around the party before settling in a small audience of sorts in front of Harmony. Some float in the air, their wings buzzing like hummingbirds, while others sit among the grass or lay on their stomachs, propping their tiny heads up with their elbows.
OOC: Ready to advance once the next action is taken (presumably the description of Harmony's performance to the sprites along with any other character reaction).

OOC: Going to re-roll that Performance check - I'm not sure what's going on with it but it's wacky, it's showing me that you rolled it at advantage with +4 bonus, then it's showing a 16 result but if I mouse over it, it shows rolls of 4 and 5 before adding the +4 modifier. Re-rolling with the correct modifier for Harmony (+13).

The sprites become enthralled with Harmony's singing, almost unanimous and immediate. Halfway through the performance they can't help but take to the air, dancing in patterns and linking arms with one another like a fey version of a drunken tavern. A few of the sprites dart into the forest, returning as Harmony concludes the song. As she lands her final jump, these sprites shower her with a half dozen saffron flowers, joining their high-pitched voices in with the rest of the creatures in a raucous cheer.
The flowers look remarkable and seem to hold their shape even as they fall to the ground.
As much as Aisha wanted to hate the moment, the performance was too good, and her attitude ultimately settled on neutrality by meeting in the middle with her frustrations at what she considered delays. Combat was a necessity, this was something else. And once it was over, and the things were showering everyone with petals and such.. or atleast Harmony, there seemed to be a long delay in anyone doing anything. Aisha had noticed this behavior before, but would never comment on it. Regardless after what felt like three days on fast forward, Aisha said aloud Yes yes, it was a good perforrrmance, as hers usually seem to be. Aisha does nyot recall her ever having worse than a good one. But Please, let us pass. If we fail our quest.... she will nyever be able to perform again for you, or anyone.
Even as she said it, an idea popped into her head.... the performance and audiences reception was so good that maybe... just maybe this next fight would be easier.
Aisha has had an idea though. Will you aid us... or... atleast Harrmony in the fight to come? Aisha does nyot know if it will be quick or if it will take days or even weeks to find what we seek... but will you aid us in fighting it?

"I'm not a demon!!" Harmony cried out, sighing at being called that. "A song and dance of course!" she then happily told them with a smile. Wearing a more 'simple' pastel green dress with straps and frills, but the skirt was more colorful with pastel rainbows and stars including the big fluffy yellow star on her waist with frills going down from it along with pink socks that had blue clouds, yellow shoes, arm frills, and a green and yellow bow with star charms in her hair; she then proceeded to do a cutesy and energetic song about having fun with friends that would be the kind to clap along to and matching it with a high-energy dance with jumps and cheers.
